- The time has finally come to have the Coronet media blasted. I had spoken to Garrett earlier this summer about taking on the task and he seemed more than capable. As it turns out I am more than happy with both his work and what was uncovered.

This is interesting! I`m in for the ride.
Welcome aboard! It's going to be a ride for sure.
Man Chuck you have a fantastic starting point with the 65. I’ll definitely go catch up on the earlier videos of this one and will follow along and learn from your experience with the body work and reassembly.
Hopefully you can skip any mistakes that I may make.
That 65 is in amazingly good shape 👍🏻👍🏻
It really is, a good slate to start with.
goodnight friend. ederson from Curitiba, Brazil here.
This Mopar is very perfect, a spectacle, look what a beautiful tin, very smooth, wonderful car.
Glad you like it!
An AWESOME start on the body Chuck!
Thanks Frank
I just went through all of that with my 65 Plymouth satellite. Awesome video.👍
Thanks, I never planned on getting this deep. Oh well.
Car is looking great! Fun to see the transformation.
Thanks Chris, it's a process.

It does!
Great video! I appreciate all the work and care you put into your cars and the videos you create. I'm an early B-Body guy too.
I appreciate that! I've become a fan of them as well.
That's very nice body Chuck its going to make a sharp looking car you will be proud of.
Thanks man, it's a process.
You do great work sir. Love seeing the progress!
Thank you
@@Chuck_House_of_Mopar Yes sir. Just wondering,...do you have any experience putting new seals in a power steering gearbox? I'm finding it difficult to locate the correct seal kit or anyone to do it.
Nice ......
Thank you! Cheers!
That's a straight one. I can only hope when i'm ready to blast my '65 it'll be as nice metal as yours. @9:39 where you show the location of one of the "hidden" VIN's on the radiator yoke, where is exactly is the number in the rear that you also mentioned ? I checked my '65 & that number is completely different than the VIN tag riveted inside the driver's door jamb (A post). I don't know, maybe mine's had front clip, stolen car ? lol. Thanks
It’s back on the package tray, driver’s side. It’s actually the SO, or Shipping Number, on these cars and not the VIN. The SO is on the fender tag.
@@Chuck_House_of_Mopar Thanks. No wonder the number from the rad yoke didn't match my VIN. My fender tag was long gone when i got the car.
@@shanew.williams Yeah it's a little confusing on these older ones.
The SO numbering continued through 68 if I recall correctly. In 69 (or sometime in mid to later 68 maybe) they started stamping the VIN on the rad support and rear drivers trunk drain trough, instead of the SO, under the weather strip.
Addendum … at least in 68 - 70 the trunk drain trough weather seal lip is where the number was on B bodies. I’m not familiar with the 65s so don’t doubt Chucks package tray location for the rear.
What kind of paint. Reminds me of the paint we used on steel at the water treatment plant I worked at for 26 years
That's an epoxy primer that is just for rust prevention during body work.
I used to call it zinc chromate and it sure helps stop rust.@@Chuck_House_of_Mopar
Congrats on discovering just how great a candidate you have there, Chuck.
A straight b-body, sky's the limit!

Thanks Ed, she just wants to be brought back I guess.
junk
Holieee cow. Looks clean. That car is going to be epic. Could have been much worse.
It could have been really bad.
Jesse Hemis dominated drag racing since at least Garlits and the 392.
The 392 was an awesome motor.
So nice to see you happy Chuck. Id be happy if I were in your shoes. You've got it going on. The canvas is ready for you to paint a beautiful picture.
Thanks Hugh, we'll see how happy I'm going to be once body work starts.
Man that is a clean car, glad it was better than you thought.
You're not kidding, Thanks
making alot of progress chuck! it pays to start with a good body.looking forward to more !
Thanks Doug, we'll see how it goes.
Looks awesome buddy.thats going to be a nice one.crazy how clean it is.
Agreed, now for the "fun" work.
You will be cleaning out media for days.
hopefully not years as in my case with my cuda.
Yeah, it's still running out.
Can't wait.
hemi weakest race motor ever until boost because slow burn chamber works great with nitro but not gas
1964 Daytona, top 3 spots went to Hemi cars. They beat the track record by 15 miles per hour.
yes indeed Mopar dominated NASCAR with the Hemi until it was regulated out. And Petty won top spot in that 64 race and many others and kept winning. He won 27 race’s out of 48 starts in 67, including 10 in a row.
spanked many mopars hemis 440 no problem slowpars made lots of $$$ on them junks
Good for you brother.
Didn’t even mention huge mistake? Wtf?
It’s Huge Mistake with a question mark. IE, did I make a huge mistake.
See?
Amazingly good shell! My '63 looked clean but was a giant bondo sculpture and any others I looked at were just as bad because of the unpainted inner surfaces. The Neighbors will be happy that they won't have to listen to many hours of hammering etc ... 😁😁
I don’t need to tell you that it was a gamble doing what I did. I’m very happy with the result.
you can buy a brand bew mopar ford gm body complete now cheaper than original junk rusted garbage
Yeah but I didn't do that, did I.
mopars all sheetmetal no frame junk thats why there are so few mustangs too unibody junk
Must be a Chevy guy, how about your unibody Camaro?
mopar junk used to spank 440 cars with my 350 nova slowpar 375 440 450 hemi had 600 horse small block chevy chrysler junk
