JA's parents were from our island, Leódhas agus na-Hearadh, in the Western Isles and lived in Loch Ailort. His parents were from na-Hearadh (Harris) and there were, and still is
, many, many men that are strong like that in our islands. The Basque men in some districts are reputed to be the same. JA used to come across here trialing and was a character with great stories. It was grand to watch him run and hear the stories. Duine comasach(an able man)👍

1990. Check the conversation at 24.22. They ask the man how long had he been with his employer, and he says since in 1930, and then he say 60 years.

18:30 this man just hoisted 300 lbs on his back and walks off. Wtf? I am in my prime, work out a lot and squat 350. I couldn’t imagine walking around with it let alone on uneven ground. And at 70? Ah, ok🏆😂
