Every days a School Day. Found out last week why Lead thickness is referred to as "Code" eg Code 5 is thicker than Code 4 and so on. A square foot of Code 4 Lead weighs 4lbs (pounds) and Code 5 is 5lbs per square foot. For younger viewers 1 foot is 300mm and 1 pound is 0.4539 kg.
great video! we have got a manitou like bill & joe's. we bought it the day that prince charles & lady diana got married . it had new engine in two years a go. i have been using it today carting staw.
Oh my gawd, bagging spuds, many an hoiur spent doing that , worked on 3 different farms growing spuds, first on was 10 acres , 2nd one had 20 and last one had 300 where I was sprayer operator for 9 years , good days but sure my back is jealous of the stacking robot lol
Olly for the Bay windows don't ever put silicon - guarantee to fail and then trap moisture. Re do the roof on each bay window in Copper and you and James will neither ever have to touch again in either of your life times. Lead is an inferior product anytime you are dealing with rain water channels / gutters as you have at the rear of the bay window roof by the wall - only use Copper.
@@joey10-49maybe the farm pays nothing towards his Range Rover. Maybe it’s the offices that he rents out. Maybe it’s the RUclips income that pays for it. Maybe his merchandise sales pay for it. Maybe it’s his holiday let’s that pays for it. Maybe it’s the stables rent that pays for it. Maybe he’s just fortunate of the location of his farm to be able to diversify into other things and make it pay. Doesn’t mean his farm is making money. Also owning a Range Rover doesn’t mean you have £4 million lying around to pay a tax bill. Having a Range Rover means you can find the money to pay a monthly bill to the bank.
There’s always something to do with a digger we used to hire one but ended up buying one. And it’s saved our bacon once or twice when there’s been flooding. Car shopping with my dad today 90%
Did ye hear that over the weekend we had a general election for the whole country and the greens only now have been left with only 1 seat in the Dail. ( house of parliament )
best way to by bags of spuds unwashed unlike the supermarket who don’t last buy from farmer they will last longer and a more fair price for said farmer
I feel you should have mentioned the backlash on Arla Boaver trials that happened on Facebook over the weekend , brilliant use of social media by whoever is behind the campaign to trash this product nobody needs or wants , lots to learn from this
Brilliant use if social media 🤷♂️🤷♂️ not sure about that. amazing how you mention bill gates, black rock or cancer causing and everything goes wild mis information and conspiracy theory. There were only 30 farms on the trial but hundreds of arla supplying dairy farms are now extremely worried about their position. So much rubbish has been put out there especially on Tik Tok. Not saying I am a supporter of Boaver but it not something new and there are loads of other things getting added to feed, people just need to keep things in prospective
Hi, Don't know how else to contact you. What are your opinions on bovear and do any of your known friends farms have to use for their business. I understand some need to trade with the big-boys for their lively hood.
@@joey10-49 They probably do pay tax on their profits (income) it's inheritance tax when a business is passed on to the next generation where the issue is. So I suggest you now get back in your box.
@@joey10-49 Do you not know the difference between income tax and inheritance tax, if not let me explain. Farmers like any business will have to submit annual accounts the profits, if any are made are subject to taxation. Just like a normal working man these taxes have to be paid. Inheritance tax is paid on assets at death which in the case of a family business which has been passed down for generations is going to have to possibly sell some of those assets to pay taxes. This would mean the business would be un-viable do you not think that is unfair, don't bother answering because I know what you think from your other comments. By the way I don't think it's me that's daft!!
@joey10-49 they are going after the wrong farmers, where is this tax going to come from, farmers don't have million in the bank to waste, the profit in farms are very low. And if you had to sell dairy cattle off , or a field or a combine it would be not viable, and could easily cost jobs as well.
Can't believe you didn't do a proper farmer fix of the roof, you know stuff some baler twine in the gap and some expanding foam for good measure lol. You should watch "The roofing outlaw" he does reviews of roofing, lead flashing leak finding, etc and typically starts with "On this weeks episode of Shit Roofing" lol. Looks as though that bay roof could feature, he does swear a bit and would probably start off with "what the fcuk is this?"

Hi Olly,
Just to help you out.
A ship carries boats.
Unless it's a Submarine which is always a boat.
Good quality locally sourced food, Cranston's and Castle Chocolates
Hi Olly 3 3o am, 75%,looking like a lot rain,
Might be worth challenging the “Countryfile” analysis on Sunday. Had some alledged economic expert that accuses farmers of exaggerating the IHT issue?
I seen that on countryfile normal BBC they had the cheek to say that there were 13000 at the rally.

Notice a couple of trolls commenting, quite sad how they do not understand basic economics, financially ignorant, and envy is their main driver.
Another excellent blog Olly. 😊🚜👍

In the Army the definition of an expert was ‘A drip under pressure’!
X is the unknown quantity and a spert is a drip under pressure
