This design ( Corolla Altis) doesn't have rival, i give it 10 points over the others brands from the same sedan line
I’m current owning the 2008 1.8g model, and when I saw the previous generation (2015) model, it was just a renovated car to me with almost not much addition of features and only a slight more legroom (the Honda city even trumps it more). Not worth the upgrade.
But for this model on paper , I think this car has been upgraded very well if comparing 1.8g versions hand in hand. The safety suite makes a worth and finally it gets a e-parking brake. I hate stick pull up types when I drive normal daily cars. But sadly legroom is still a bit barren and the tv screen yeah it sticking out too much, as if we are in a cinema instead of driving.
But it is now tight choosing between civic/altis. Civic is bigger in room size but altis has more safety equipment now.

You got to judge the book by it's cover. Toyota trend now a days,. Nice exterior but inside is like What did they doooo???? Nice to see you are better, physically well no more sniffles and new do.
i think for the dashboard, they put a radio with big bezel on purpose. so in the next corolla altis, they will give a smaller one. you know lah marketing plan. if they build a perfect car, what will they build afterwards?

Very honest review.. U just being straight foward condemning on their fugly infotaiment and instrument cluster deisgn. For me interior design is very important as u r gonna face it every morning b4 go to work.. More like an inspiration if it puts u a smile every time u sit in ur car. Mazda nailed it in term of design. On the other hand, my father who is in his 60s prefers corollo than honda n mazda as his prev 1990 corolla gl left him with good memories n reliability
That's true. You face your interior all the time. Better to have an interior you can live with rather than an exterior.

Ah Beng aa, this car is really conservative in design. Since year 1998 when the first Altis was introduced, the parts that obviously changed are the headlamp design and the rear lamp looks so Hyundai elantra. Hmm Toyota should hire designer from Audi or bmw to design toyota cars. 😁
LCD screen is out & ruined the interior look😓. Then, this 136k worth car not included with engine cover, I don't know why 😓. Power seat is only for driver😓. Wireless charger not charging my phone (Apple 7)😓. Hope Toyota to fix above said issues. Test driving done, overall ok with the performance. But need worth for money.

you know what, the infotainment panel, UMW took away all the button which is availanle across U.S market, and it makes the whole dashboard like a ugly duck ass

Interior design doesn't jive with the exterior design. The dash design is really a let down. The screen potruding like a sore thumb.Still, no auto boot for full spec. Driver door bottle compartment not good, cannot stuff 1.5 ltr bottle. Nop...I'll opt for an SUV

I walked into showroom today for test drive, same case salesperson says everyone else hates the goddamn head unit.
Just plain lazy interior designing to an otherwise perfectly fine Corolla.
Sometimes you feel like Toyota purposely plant some annoying design defects so you would re-consider buying the Camry...
I would have bought it if not for the head unit. It's so distracting!

Already own corolla 11 gen back to 2015, which is for me it have much nicer lcd display... n the way the put much more better...
