Visited Taiwan in October with husband and kids (we are Australian). Taroko National Park was the highlight. Amazing! The people of Taiwan are so friendly. Enjoy your trip.

I bet best buy ever in Taiwan lol Honestly Kaohsiung is so much underrated compare with Taipei. But we love it so much - amazing places to visit & great food. We need to give the credit of HSR to Japanese, they build those trains. The model running in Taiwan is modified from the Japanese Shinkansen 700 model.
Great video guys. Kaohsiung is a great City and the weather is a lot warmer in Winter than up North. I’m not sure if you went to Tainan which is 30 minutes from Kaohsiung but if not next time as it’s an historical city with the Best food in Taiwan. Went to the state of Kerala deep into the forests where no tourists go. Saw the Taj Mahal in Agra and bought gemstones in Jaipur. I think I need to go to the training camp you went to in Thailand and lose some weight too. India food can do a body bad, lol.. Have fun traveling the world, TTYL8R

You're welcome to have another trip back to Formosa. The station of HST you just took off is located in the northern Kaohsiung and it still takes about one hour and half to drive to the southernmost point of Formosa. The authority is considering to extend its way south.
This is a really beautiful video! Taiwan has such diverse cultures, not only from China and Japan, but also from the Netherlands and Spain, both of which colonized Taiwan for a brief period during the 17th century, and last but not least, the aborigines who have been living here for thousands of years laid down the foundation of Taiwanese culture. Hope you have the chance to visit the oldest city Tainan, and also the east coast for its magnificent natural wonders.
@cyes5031700 , there are some Japanese influences ,but we barely see any Dutch or European traces at all, maybe a little Americans modern culture ... all are Chinese

There are many many many, environmental issues to be addressed and resolved yet, in most areas, as this island nation is mostly residential and commerce areas mixed in together. The reason why those "beverage carriers" become a thing is because the Taiwanese government has banned free single use plastic bags for beverages since 2018, hoping to reduce the use of plastic.
