Oh, this was just suggested to me! I've been meaning to go to Maglarp and shoot the Bee-eaters, but I still haven't managed to go... 😟 UPDATE: How well do you think the reach of a 400mm works there? The location should be good for most times of day, but it is always nice to know if I can manage with the 400mm f/4 that I have, or if I would need to slap on a 2x extender to get enough reach. If the sun is out I should still be able to get decent exposure times and have a workable f-stop to go with it. I can always crank up the ISO a few notches, but picture quality won't mind if I can keep it as low as possible.
I had the TC2 on most of the time and was at 800mm and still had to crop a great deal. Light is best in the afternoon but i had a lot of heat distortion most of the day. I think its over soon at the location because all the juveniles have left the nests 🙂
@@DennisJacobsenWildlife Great info, Dennis! Thanks a bunch. I agree and understand that it is most likely over soon or already. (Just like my summer vacation...) If nothing else I should be able to be there on time for next years nesting and have the proper gear with me. 😉 My aim this summer was to go for early light (just couldn't be arsed to get out of the bed), but seeing you mention that the light is better in the afternoon is also a valuable piece of info for next year. I really think that they will be back because if two pairs have nested this year and had some offspring, then the chance is really high that they will be coming back in one form or the other.
Great video Dennis. Really enjoyed seeing these birds amazing colours, great Kestrel pics too. Thanks for making this 👍
Thanks John 😀
Nice shots and great video ! Ronny //
Thanks Ronny :) appreciated!
Well done - as usual
Thank you 🙂🙂🙂
God dokumentar Dennis. Vi ses. Carsten
Mange tak Carsten og ja helt sikkert :) tak for kommentar!
Very nice as expected! P.S:Are many photos cropped?
Thank you 😊 yes most of them are cropped quite a bit 🤔 So reach and megapixels are needed here 😀
