Very interesting video. I sometimes create borders by using the expand tool. I expand in either black or white and by using two fingers it will expand equally all round.
The big plus with this method it adds the border outside the image so none of the picture is lost.

You are absolutely right! The Expand Tool in Snapseed creates black and white borders that extend beyond the edges of your image unlike the Frames Tool which covers over part of your original capture. I cover this alternative way of adding a border using the Expand Tool in this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Jdh-YtDxhGw/видео.html

Thanks, David. Another beautifully detailed tutorial! I really appreciate you taking your time to give each part due diligence.
This is part of the reason why I bought your course! I've watched most modules more than once and have a suggestion and also a problem
Suggestion: the 'frames' and 'expand' modules complement each other so well and would make a perfect, if longer, tutorial.
If that doesn't appeal to you, I won't be offended!
now for my problem....saving! I have an iPhone and don't have a 'save' button.
I have an export button down in the bottom right corner but no option to save a copy or anything else that looks vaguely useful!
I'd like to save a photo, after applying the 'lens blur' function and then recall this to use with the double-exposure function.I'm having a lot of trouble saving the 'lens blur' photo wth my other phone photos Help! ```regards, Bob (U.K.)

Thank you for the kind words on my videos and for subscribing to the whole course! I appreciate the advice on a video using Frames and Expand together. I will keep that in mind for new tricks to share.
I am a little puzzled by your question on saving. I do not have an iPhone but I do have an iPad so the results should be the same. When you edit an image in Snapseed there should be a little share (Export) button at the bottom right (if your phone is held horizontal) in the main screen. When you tap on that button a fly out menu should appear where you have two choices for Save plus one for Export. Using any of those three options-- Save / Save A Copy / Export-- should create a version of your image that you can use for the double exposure.
If I missed something, or if your screen really does not have any of those options after you press the little Square with an Arrow button in the bottom right, please let me know.

@@FocusPhotoSchool David, for some strange, the 'save a copy' is suddenly working perfectly! no idea what happened there. I have another problem... how to delete a photo from Snapseed. There are many people showing how to remove people/things from a photo but none showing how to remove a photo from Snapseed. Any ideas, David? Thanks for the advice on 'saving a copy'. Much appreciated. Regards, Bob (U.K.)

Can you add a colored frame?

There is no way that I know to add a colored frame using only the Frames Tool in Snapseed From Google.
The best method that I can think of this morning to create a colored border would be to use the Double Exposure Tool. Using Double Exposure, you could open up your image first and then you could open a second image which contains nothing but the color that you want for the frame.
Once you have the image and the flat field of color stacked on top of it, you could use Snapseed's Edit Stacks Mask feature to hide all of the color except around the edges of your image.
It would take a few minutes to create this effect but not an impossible task if you are familiar with the Double Exposure Tool and Edit Stacks Mask feature.
