Thankyou for this Video, This island is where i live and was born! You captured perfectly the essence of the atmosphere of the place, for future Visiters! Summertime here is Glorious, and Bulging with activities for Visitors!
I'm always thrilled to get comments like yours from locals!!! Thanks so much for watching the video! Your home island is such a lovely place, and I sincerely hope we get to go back again someday soon for a longer stay - maybe even in the summertime! 😀
That was a lot of steps. You are lookin' both practical and stylish. :) Wow... lots of hiking and climbing that day. But what a gorgeous drive! Yeah, I guess I need to add some UK stuff to my bucket list. Love these videos. Thanks!
Oh..these horses are NOT allowed to gallop on the bundestraße here in Germany..insane...oh..such beautiful spot indeed. Brr..cold... the beach is sooo pretty...awesome!!! Favorite spot for drone pilots..
@@MeansToTravel ahh..that figures..haha..Different country different rules..but very nice upload you had.. Thank you indeed.. Oh..how we miss holiday.. I do hope we are back to normality soon...
awesome tips on the wardrobe vs. wind. I often wish vloggers shared more about the dates of filming so I could get a good sense of the weather, wardrobe, and density of tourism at specific times of the year, so this was really informative!
Thanks Glenn! The wind chill was so real! I had to totally cut a part where you can’t hear us talk over the wind, regardless of how much editing I did 🌬
Thanks for the trip down memory lane - I remember going to the IoW when I was a child one summer and I went to beach near The Needles and filled a test tube with all the different colour sands! I would say most roads in the UK (apart from motorways, main roads and in towns) there aren't any lights.
So true about the street lights - we did everything we could to avoid driving at night throughout the UK. Glad you liked re-living your IoW trip in this video! 😀
Excellent video! Note that Alum Bay is pronounced Aloom Bay, and that the Needles is the extreme WESTERN tip of the island. As an Englishman who likes to visit the island I certainly do not go there for the food! I go there for the superb scenery, which is often best viewed from the top-deck of a double-deck bus!
Thanks Roger! You’re totally correct - the Needles is the Western tip and we didn’t really drive south until St. Catherine’s Oratory. Thanks for that correction! 🙏🏻😀
Your tips are very useful, Eliz! May I suggest you do a vid on how you research your travels and especially food/restaurant choices and accommodation? It seems you usually make the same kinds of decisions that we would make regarding quality of food and comfort.
I definitely need to go and visit this place ASAP! Its crazy how little of the UK I have explored! Cool vlog, keep up the work and keep creating! All the best!
And thank goodness for those, otherwise it would be sooooo dark! Yes, there are places in the US that do not place lights along the road, and I know it's important to drive slow to stay safe at night. 🙏🚗
@@MeansToTravel in my “weird British foods you should not try” video I mentioned fudge for this exact reason. Americans assume it will be like American fudge, but it’s not! 😝. A lot of British people got annoyed with me about that, but I stand by my opinion😂. And the boxed fudge with touristy photos on the front of them are notoriously bad...
@@MeansToTravel i’ve had some British fudge that is very sugary and crystallized, and worst of all dry and crumbly! Not at all the super chocolatey creamy fudge that we love💖

Yeah it was a first for me to see horses on a main road! But I hear that horse culture is really strong on Isle of Wight! 🐴

My pleasure! And I could not agree with you more!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I really appreciate when you reference mobility! I’m thinking of travel through a new lens and not many people mention that. Thank you! 💗
Thanks Kim! Glad it's helpful!

Wonderful video, Eliz! Great filming, music, tips, the whole video is great!!
Thanks so much Katie, glad you liked it!
Such a pretty view from the top!
It really is!
Great hints for head gear and for investigating the shore.

Yes you absolutely can suggest that! I'll try to figure out a way to make some videos about those topics in tthe future. 😀😀😀

I totally get it - it’s sooo easy to forget to explore your own back yard! Thanks for the compliment on the video!

That place looks so beautiful!
It was lovely! Thanks Chris!
We don`t have a lot of countryside road lights, but we do have catseyes to guide you. White ones for centre road and red ones for danger.

it looks amazing there we would love to go explore some day
It’s such a cool place to explore in England! We only had a day; but could have easily spent an entire week to see all the island’s landmarks! 😀
Isle of Wight added to the must do list. Yea, the british have different words for everything it seems like. Pudding for instance!
Haha yes pudding seems like it could be anything! Yorkshire pudding, black pudding, chocolate pudding... 😅
Just found your channel
I really enjoyed watching your video 😀
Subbed 👍
Thanks so glad you liked it!

Hmmmmm British Fudge... I’m afraid to admit I’m usually not a fan
Haha it was the first time we tried any, but not sure if we'd give it a second shot!

@@MagentaOtterTravels LOL I didn't know there was a fudge debate out there! You just taught me something new that this is a totally normal difference!
