    Wilt only played 13 seasons. If he had played 5-8 more years avg 2k per season Wilt would have scored close to 40k points. Kareem played 22 seasons. Lebron is in great shape. He could play another 2-3 years. The 3-point shot is going help a lot for those players that shot 3's. All great players.

    Dan Issel scored 16589 in 10 NBA seasons and a total of 27482 pts if you add 5 ABA seasons, Hall of Fame 1993. Overlooked on this list for some reason.

    The modern day players have greatly benefitted by the addition of the 3 point shot and being able to play without completing their college eligibility. Back in the day nobody could play in the NBA until their college class had graduated. That's why Wilt played for the Globetrotters for a year after he left Kansas early. Now star players leave college early, or like Lebron or Garnett, skip college entirely, giving them the potential to play more years and rack up more points.

      It's his 21 season. All the top scorers played 20 seasons or more. MJ has over 32,000 in only 13 full seasons,( he missed 60 games in his second season with a broken foo,t and only played 20 games. When he came back from baseball it was only 17 games left in the season.So in only 13 full seasons he scored over 32,392😮

      @@RodneyPillows because Michael Jordan was a pure scorer only Lebron has to score assists and get rebounds that’s why he’s the only player to have 40k points 11k rebounds and 11k assists. He’s also on in the top 5 with career triple doubles

    Surprised Robert Parish scored more than Larry Bird & thought Kevin McHale was not in the 20K Club..Alex English may have been the missing piece for the Bucks to get them over the hump in the early 80's..he got away due to tightwad ownership & a plethora of very good players they did have...

      Parish played over 10,000 more minutes compared to Bird. He averaged 18.4 pts per 36/min played, compared to 22.8 for Bird.
