Tron is what got me into bikes. I Always liked them as a kid but that opening scene when Sam's bmx turns into a Ducati...that scene right there spawned a new generation of cafe racers.
He's not wrong. I bought my Ducati Monster right after I saw Tron: Legacy. I have a Scrambler as well and trying to find a nice Sport Classic to just have in the foyer to look at and ride on occasion.
It is really just the coolest bike of all time in my opinion. Every angle and detail is beautiful. The riding position is aggressive and sporty without the sharpness of modern sport bikes. The racing stripe down the tank and rear cowl is so classic and aesthetically pleasing. It’s my dream bike for sure!
I've turned a 1981 yamaha maxim xj550 and a 1982 yamaha seca xj650 into, the closest I could, replicas to this bike. The dream is to buy this one day and to do jumps off free way exits ;)
truely rare bike to be found nowadays, been looking for one myself. Ducati needs to resurrect this lineup. Such a beautiful and powerful bike, you are a lucky man.
Life before covid I would ride the bike to a local coffe shop across town. The people loved it. Talked to other riders here and there. For now I’m the caretaker of this machine.
ducati actually stopped making this bike just before the movie was released, when the bike was released it didnt get good reviews in all the bike mags etc and the cafe racer retro bike scene wasnt as popular back then as it is now so they didnt sell well hence why there so rare now.
@@ghostracer1922 thanks bro. As all previous guys said, its really rare now...i'm in France and its so fucking hard to get one of this beauty....lucky man you are !
Cursirr 5 ft 7in - only downside is when backing up I gotta tip toe other than that it’s fine. Got family shorter than me they have trouble putting one foot down.
amazing looking bike. did yours needed a lot of maintanance ? i own an suzuki sv 650 at the moment and your bike is my dreambike. I would just get the Zard exhaust. great video greetings from germany
DrKampfpudding I had the timing belt replaced back in 2018 all was $600 I believe. It’ll need a major service at 7,000 miles. Don’t know how much that’ll be. Something where they check the valve clearance. The bike runs fine. Been wanting to own one since 2010
@@ghostracer1922 who wants to own a Ducati has to pay a premium sadly . But i now that ill get a Sport 1000 in the near future . Hope i dont have to wait AS long as you did
@@ghostracer1922 Nice Bipo. The major Desmo service will cost between 1k - 2k depending on how the valve clearances are ('08 SC 1k Bipo owner here). If you want to you can remove that big ugly evap canister, you don't need it.
Usually a couple pop up every now and then. Try Craigslist and eBay. I know there’s 2 for sale in California Craigslist. As for this type of bike Ducati actually stopped production 2009-2010.
this guy saw tron and knew that was the coolest bike he had ever saw

They need to bring this bike back. I would buy one easily.
Awesome bike. Lucky man.
God bless my friend.
I’ll try and make another video. 3rd person view that’s what I’m shooting for.
I guess Tron legacy movie was a hit for Ducati sales impacting a whole new generation.

You have the same Ducati street boots as me when I ride. Hell yeah brother.
Love these bike, not very easy to find!

Damn man it’s beautiful
Not much I can say but yes the bike is quite something. 👍

year later and still want one
Beautiful 🤘🏼🖤🏍️
Man, this is my dream bike! How long did you have this with you? I'm pretty sure this bike received more love than the hottest woman out there. Lol
No worries I still own the bike. I need to find a cameraman so I can get better 3rd person view footage.
The bike is one of a kind.
What a beauty..!
Is this a good beginner bike?
Yo you have my dream bike lol
It’s a mean riding machine.
waoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Hi, what is exactly the name of this model ? I saw a lot of sport 1000 but there is many différence between each model...
Thanks
This one is the sport classic 1000 biposto.

Appreciate it. God is good. The bike just sits in the garage if I could have it my way I’d stick it in the living room. Perhaps that’s what I’ll do.
how tall are you? I've been looking at this bike for a while but not too sure how it would fit me.
Cursirr 5 ft 7in - only downside is when backing up I gotta tip toe other than that it’s fine. Got family shorter than me they have trouble putting one foot down.
Ghost racer I see we’re the same height thanks! So probably lowering the rear shocks and the front fork by 20mm will be the best bet.
Cursirr i hope you get to own the sport classic. 👍 I ride mine here and there. Oregon doesn’t get much sunny days until late in June or July.
