EnjoyTheJourney.Life Buy a real truck a GM product Ford Found on road dead Found on Russian dump Fix or repair daily Full of rusty doors Dodge The only good thing is the Cummins Test drive a 2020 gmc then compare
I bought a 2019 Ram 3500 Limited Megacab with an extended warranty because it is the ultimate in utility and functionality. No problems and the interior is best in class. Got a killer deal on it too! My second choice would be the 2020 Ford F450 because of the improved towing capabilities as well as turning radius. All three brands are more than enough for your Momentum. Pick the truck most appealing to your eye cause they all meet your needs. Good luck and again, put some toys in that toy hauler! 🤣
10:42 he is completely wrong about his explanation of the F350 and F450 axle (4wd). The F450 actually has a 6" longer version of the same front axle as the F350. The additional side spacing from the frame gives them the ability to make the steering stops more aggressive. Now, the 2wd F450 does use a independent twin I-beam suspension with coil springs. But from a turning perspective, they are the same
Big truck big RV! You're absolutely right! Although I'm a Chevy fan! The turning radius is pretty impressive. Just watched your video on the Chaparral 367bh! Awesome!
Hi guys! As a life long Ford fan and owner I would definatley say choose the F-450. My wife and I have an F-150 for her and a F-350 is mine which we use to pull our Forest River. Ford is IMO the best all around incl style & comfort. The powerstroke is a beast. Good luck in whatever you choose and be safe! Love your channel BTW
We have a Ram with the 6.7 Cummins. Have had it about 5 years, it's paid off. We've done a DPF delete, added a tuner and 5" aftermarket exhaust system with a turbo muffler. It has more than adequate power for towing without revving it through the roof with the large diesel 6 cylinder. Keep your fuel filters changed and decent batteries and you're golden.
After watching many videos by JD of BTBRV, Chad and Tara of Changing Lanes and Marc and Tricia of KYD, I decided on a 2019 Ford F450 King Ranch to pull a 5th wheel. Always owned Chevys, never owned a Ford, diesel or 4x4 before. Have not gotten a 5th wheel yet. My wife got sick with pancreatic cancer and we have been dealing with that for the last year. In fact, this week she is a 1 year cancer survivor. After she gets stronger, we'll go back to looking at 5th wheels. Good luck with your purchase and stay healthy!
Sorry about your wife, I have a f450 platinum and I love it also was a chevy guy all my life till 2016 bought my first f150 ecoboost and never looked back only forward. Stay safe.
Awesome deals on 5th wheels on year end clearance. Right at the start of the CV craziness I picked up a brand new 2019 40' Forest River Cardinal Limited almost at half price. Kind of a learning curve with the auto leveling, must have a level area to park it. After owning numerous varieties of travel trailers, this rig is such a delight! I definitely recommend buying this way over a used rig.
rnich56, I’m saying prayers 🙏🏼 for your wife right now 💕 My father had pancreatic cancer as well. The advances in treatment and knowledge of the disease is so much more advanced now than it was in 2007 when my Dad got sick. Wow, one year survivor, that is fantastic!!! I so hope you both get to do some RVing in the near future. For now, keep her safe at home during this COVID-19 crisis. I have no doubt you’ll be out camping in no time. Stay positive 🙏🏼💕 🏕
One thing I will say, if you haven't bought yet, DON'T, dealerships are closing down nation wide. Support your local small business and the economy, but this is a BIG purchase. The incentives that are going to come out after the Covid-19 shutdown is over will be HUGE, you will save big $$$$$ if you wait.
We tow our 43' Columbus with a GMC 3500 SRW. Haven't had any difficulties, but then again, we out Columbus is lighter than your Momentum. That is truly a beautiful Ford.
The Ram mega cab is your best bet for towing a fifth-wheel. It's got all the things you need for your 5th wheel. I have a 2020 Mega Cab and I absolutely love it.
Just my 2 cents But when I had our 41' Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler I pulled with a Ford F-450. Loved that truck.. It's a Beast as far as being a Tow Rig. It is important to check your gear ratios. I sold mine & Toy Hauler when we upgraded to a Class A Diesel pusher. The 450 I do believe has the tightest turning radius of any trucks out there. As far as what you decide to purchase Make it your best decision for you!! Keep up the awesome Videos....👍👍
I told you that once you drive an F-450 that everything else just won’t be as nice. The turning radius is so awesome when maneuvering a long fifth wheel that it actually makes it easier. Until last October, I’ve never towed anything longer than a 15-19 foot work trailer. Then we got our 43 foot Fifth Wheel and I was able to back it in the first time with very little maneuvering required. If I wasn’t driving the F-450 I really don’t think I could have done it that easy. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend getting one if it fits within your budget. Wishing you both all the best on your tow-vehicle decision making process.
Ive got a 2015 Chevy 3500HD, I love it and also it will solve the seatbelt issue as they are on the pillar and not in the seat and fully adjustable, Ive test drove a 2020 2500HD which is similar to the 3500 and I fell in love with it.
Get the Ford 450 for the reasons mentioned. You can add airbags if needed. We get good service. Minimal issues. Seatbelts are height adjustable. We tow our Grand Design with a 350 Lariat. More power than I need.
Yes you should buy that truck if you like it. That truck is what you need. Keep in mind so you do not learn the hard way. If you turn that tight with your toy hauler behind you, you will most likely damage your trailers suspension. Of course if you do some tight turns with your toy hauler behind you it will make for some very interesting video. I think you will be very happy with this truck.
Go with the ram 3500 with the Cummins and Aisin with the 410s in the rear U won’t be disappointed. I have the same setup it pulls my 40 foot raptor with ease
I’m a Ram/Cummins guy but I’ve always loved the F450. It’s a beast of a truck and now that they have that 10-speed makes it even better. It’s by far the best tow rig you can get. Wish Ram would make a 4500 pickup.
You won't be disappointed with the Ford, my Grandfather always bought Ford cars and vans, we live in the U.K. He was always happy, didn't have any complaints. Enjoy your new trunk!!
Chevy man myself but, F250 is what tows our travel trailer. As long as it gets you safely from point A to point B is what really matters. F450 is probably your best bet though for sure for your toy hauler.
My dad and mom had a 1996 Cummins Turbo Diesel Dodge Ram. Before that, he towed his trailer with two old Suburbans. The Dodge Ram was by FAR the best choice. It literally could pull anything you hitched to it. They LOVED it. After mom passed away, my dad fell numerous times, breaking numerous bones. The truck sat in the driveway for years until the owner of the shop who serviced my dad’s truck kept asking to buy it. He KNEW what a work horse it was. We sold it to him and he is thrilled. BTW, it’s a 3/4 ton. They are so sought-after and hold their value unbelievably. Seriously, consider one! ☺️
If Tom is only going to be the one in the cab most of the time, then you may only want a regular cab truck. This will save you on price, fuel, and get you more towing capacity in the process. Just something to think about. The Ram has the most regular cab room than the other 2 brands. Also, there are more incentives right now on Ram trucks than the other brands. And the best part is that legendary Cummins HO under the hood.
Your Chevy looks like a subcompact next to the F450! If the turn radius is at the top of your list, you've answered your own question. I was leaning toward RAM because of the interior, quietness, and availability of the air bags in the back from the factory. BTW: You can get a chassis cab truck and put a hauler bed in the back, which offers you more secure storage and more clearance for your fifth wheel. Perhaps JD can offer you advice on that as well. Good luck. Safe travels!
I own a 2019 F350 SD SRW but based on the weight of that trailer, you need a dually and the turning radius/stance of the F450 makes it a top choice. You will be amazed at the difference between your old truck and the new one pulling that fifth wheel. Happy hunting and ignore the Ford-haters. The warranties on the drive train are long because it is a proven platform.
The lady of the house speaking here, and YES BUY THAT TRUCK!! We had a 90 something ford f-350 and we LOVED IT! This is way sooooo much better. My husband would love that truck if we could afford it.
I got the exact same truck,it will tow that camper with no problem.plus it feels so much safer driving 75mph .you can’t go wrong it’s a super bad ass truck
Ford, Ford, Ford 🙏🏼💕 My husband used to race dirt track back in the day and in the back of his Thunderbird race car 🏎 it said, FORD~First On Race Day, and he usually was 😁.
I have a 2005 gmc envoy denali, it's not a diesel truck but GMC is by far one of the best vehicles I have ever owned including mercedes cadillac etc.(why I still have it) plus even though it's 15 years old the paint still looks like new, You can't ever say that about any ford. usually by the time there 10 years old or newer you need a new paint job. also I have never had any mechanical problems with it.
We bought an F-450 and could not be happier. I was debating between an F-350 or F-450 but the additional capabilities afforded on the F-450 for the small difference in cost was a no-brainer considering the excellent turning radius on the F-450. In a former life I drove semi-trucks and plenty of F-350’s ( dually’s) in towing situations. For my hard earned dollars, the solution was clear. Hope this helps with making your decision.
Be sure to ask if the fuel vent can get stopped up with mud. Just in case. Toyota and Ford both have a vent where mud can fly up and plug up the vent. If you never use country roads, it's not a problem.
Went from 2005 SRW diesel Dodge Ram 2500. Traded for 2011 Diesel Dodge Ram..3500, long-bed, dually, 4x4... had14,000 miles on it..and when I sold it...we had 122,900 miles. We full-timed 2010- last year...as Johnny Cash said... we been everywhere Man... The long-bed actually turned sharper than the 2005 shortbed!!!
It's RV Life/Now or Never.....We like our 2011 Chevy 3500 DRW and we have the same trailer as you, a 2020 381M. We've been from Illinois to Oregon, Washington and Canada in the summer, and back to Illinois, then down through Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida since June of last year and we haven't had an issue with it but i did replace the turbo first week we left but it was the original and it needed a new one. Love the engine brake and stability it has while towing.
I have been wondering what 4500 chevy/GMC with a utility type bed would be like. I have always been a GM guy, but, that f450 is amazing. I have heard the limited could be over $100k. Good luck, stay healthy, and thanks for all these great videos. They are a bright spot in this darkness.
The maneuverability of the F450 is tops and will make positioning that toy hauler so much easier. The 450's gear ratio is will make mountains as breeze as well.
The 450 is great for the turning radius but that's it. If I'm spending that much time in a truck in going with Ram for the interior and you cannot beat the air bag suspension on the Ram to keep it level. Those 2 things to me make the Ram the best choice.
My 2cents for what it’s worth. Your full time RV living and have your daily run about car. Look at chassis cabs and having a utility bed put on. This for a few reasons. 1. you could be cheaper all in then a conventional truck. 2. Warranty is usually for much longer because it will be a de-tuned for a commercially long service life. 3. The utility bed can be customized for your needs. 4. Ram and Ford have that wide track front axle in the F450/550 & Ram 5500. 5. The payload and max tow numbers could be even higher than conventional trucks. This could be safer with more confidence in pulling. Just food for thought.
All are great trucks. Just remember to check the payload/towing capacity of the one you choose. GM puts that on the door tag, RAM has a web site where you can enter the VIN and Ford you do the math. Black looks nice until it gets dusty.
We have an F350 to tow our 5th wheel. It's a great truck! We went with the longbed non-dually since we live in a big metro area and the truck is a daily driver. Our 5th wheel is lighter/smaller than yalls. We have no complaints with the ride at all. Rides like an SUV. We drove all the way to Red River, NM from our home near Houston with 2 kids and 2 dogs in the back seat and they rode just fine. 10,000 foot pass was no problem (after my husband realized he had been riding without the tow/haul button engaged. DOH!) Hope to see yall in a truck that's fully equipped to handle the load! Good luck truck shopping.
I love my 2012 F350 6.7. Can't believe it's already 8 years old! Love the black one you were test driving...but you'll hate trying to keep that black looking nice. That new 6.7 will walk circles around your old chev! Good luck!
Definitely the Ford! I never thought I would say that but the specs on the Ford and turning radius are great for towing your monster. My Dad always had Ford trucks, Chevy cars but only Ford trucks.
3500HD GMC or Chevrolet , diesel with the 10 speed Allison transmission, you can't go wrong. Drive the truck without the trailer for the first 500-1000 miles, no matter what you buy! Check out the owners manual for details on towing. I'm buying the same thing, but waiting for the 2021 for the collision mitigation. Safe travels, enjoy your videos.
I'm 67 and had been a GM guy my whole life. I bought a 2019 F350 dually as the 2019 GMC's just didn't have the trailer towing technology that the Ford's had. 2020 is a different story but not sure GM is better still. I love my F350 but wouldn't list the turning radius as a feature as it's a long truck. I'm sure you will love the F450. Wish I could step up but I don't need that much truck.
I love my HO RAM Dually but I got a killer deal on it at the time. If you work the dealers against each other and resist their hard sell tactics, you can get a great deal. In the end, it doesn’t what you buy as long as you like it. I could have gone with any of the BIG THREE for the right deal. They all have their pluses and minuses. I do love that Ram Laramie though!
I know RAM sucks when it comes to warranty on HD 3500 trucks... so if and when it pukes out on you good luck not to get the drive shaft up your you know what...I seen it dozens of times
We love our Ram 3500 long bed dually diesel truck. We have the back up camera parking help too. That’s a beaut. It does have better turn radius than ours. But really expensive. Good luck with your choice. (RV DMC) Alice
Ford also has the best trailer towing package setup making it easier to maneuver any trailer with cameras for backing your trailer and trailer parking assist. No other company will ever bet the F-450 or F series line up
Ford F -450 hands down is the ultimate truck for towing. Built solid with more than enough power for your trailer and any trailer you decide on next. Better resale and better quality than dodge and chevy also the 6.7 ltr power stroke has proven to be more reliable and powerful than the current Cummins and the isuzu built Chevy motor. Good luck shopping guys and be safe
If your buying the 450 get the 2020 model lots of refinements over the 2019 . 475 hp 1050T and 10speed trans better fuel millage too . With virus going around all dealers are dealing . Good time to buy
When a lot of people go shopping Ram they get confused with the power plants There is a regular and a High Output Cummins there is a ram transmission and an Asin transmission. But that all goes out the window when the buyer shops by price only. Many people are happy to say they got a Ram 3500 dually diesel without knowing that they did not get the HO and Asin trans. Also a Ram trick the HO engine is an added price and Only Ram charges you more $$$$ for the trans too. The Ford is one price for the engine and 10 speed transmission
Yes very true and to be honest I got my HO for the same price as a 68 trans so it's a win win. Plus over 5500 lbs payload with my trim level, you cant beat that for safety and towing capabilities. Me and the wife are about to go full time as well!!!
My experience is 6 Ram/Cummins over the last 25 years. Only towed once because of an injector pump failure. My friends drive Chevys and Fords. I catch a lot of flack, BUT, they have all been left walking more than once. Do your homework, don't rush into anything. Ram is your best choice.
I love trucks and new ones too or gently new ones. Wish you luck on your choices!! Stay safe and healthy 🙏! Make sure you wipe your hands good! And don't touch your mouth or eyes!
Depends on how much money you had already put into the old truck to get a different truck. If you can put more into it, like steeper gears, you might come out ahead.
Get the Ford!! Have had one since 2005(f350 drw diesel long bed) Got a new in 2017 F350 PSD, crew cab, Long bed and love it! 0 problems! Just wish I got the 450 for the turning radius. Wife and are full timers as well.
I am completely sold on the Duramax/Allison combination in the GMC. We test rode all of them and nothing rode as smooth as the GMC, although I must admit the Ford was very close. RAM had absolutely the worst ride of the three. The only problem with GMC is it maxes out at 23.5k lbs of toe weight but the bed will hold 5k lbs which is nice. The F450 will two more for sure but do check the bed wieght because that is your problem with the Momentum you pull. Some Fords went to the aluminum bed which decreased the bed weight they can handle, so be sure and verify that weight. Chad gave you some excellent advice to adhere to. Verify ALL weights with the manufacturer not the salesman. We love your channel and hopefully will run into y’all someday 😃
I agree. When I was shopping for a new truck I decided what features and options that I needed and wanted and did a nation wide search for the closest fit. Brand didn't matter and features needed were a must with features wanted not absolute. Ended up with an F350 and after six years and 76000 miles have no regrets.
Buy the f450, I have a 2017 f450 and I love it the extra turning radius is great, p.s. your sales guy is just exactly that a sales guy more of a middle man or paper man, you'll find very little sales people that know more than the buyer btbrv is correct with his comment. Good luck and you won't regret it. Safe travel
What about getting a kenworth t300? It’s a commercial truck starter that I thing would be more than enough to do an RV PLUS the parts on it are made bigger and stronger
I'm a Ford guy. My Wife loves Chevy/GMC. I drive Fords for work. I tow with a GMC. My wife thinks the seats in the GMC are more comfortable than the Fords. With the capacities of this years HD trucks of all makes, I believe they are pretty even. To close for comparison. It's about comfort and price for me. Chose a comfy ride in your price range I'm partial to the Alisin trans so , For me, its GMC.
A light color Ford F-350 or F450 dually The only way to go. Listen to JD I would trust his advice.... Good Luck stay health being around all those people..
My only problem with the F450 is when it's time for tires it will cost you a small down payment. I'm going to try and pick up an F350 later this year. Good luck with whatever you chose and safe travels.
Don't forget to check what your insurance will cover. I have heard of a certain insurance company that really considers the 450 and -like that regard them as a commercial vehicle.
Tom check with Nathan from Less Junk More Journey & Josh from The Freedom Theory they both have DODGE RAM trucks that they haul their 5TH Wheels with . Josh also has a Grand Design 5TH Wheel . I live on the west coast of Florida about 1 hour NW of Tampa I've heard that Brandon FORD has a good reputation & their sales of trucks is really huge . I think that Mark & Trish from KYD bought their present truck there . Black trucks are hot in the summer & hard tonkeep clean .
My biggest issue I have a 2019 F350 SRW Super Duty Fully loaded with Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks on front/rear. Also have Air Lift 1500 air bags to tow my RV. With all this and more the truck still a has a rough ride. Feels like in a horse and cart. It’s all bounce and jerk on every bump on the road. Great truck for short trips to the car wash. Just done take it on a long drive You’ll need to visit your chiropractor afterwards. Other than the “rough ride” nice truck.
Hey Tom, honestly they are all pretty good, but I’d say get the GMC 3500HD. You can’t beat the Duramax/Allison combination in a Chevy/GMC, as you know. Also for 2020, it’s a 10-speed transmission. I traded my 2000 Silverado last May for a 2019 Silverado HD. If I was buying a 2020 today, I’d get the GMC 3500. If you buy preowned, the 2017 model year had a significant boost in HP and torque. For me, I’d try to not get one older than a 2015 though. I’m sure you’ll enjoy whatever one you decide on. We enjoy watching your adventures, have fun.
yes, we bought a f450 last year. our insurance went up, cost of tires and availability of tires became an issue. cost of oil changes, up. yet, it pulls the 42 ft 5ver like a dream. also, we have been told that the transmission will need to be replaced at around 150k miles. not looking forward to that 7k bill.
I think you should get what is going to pull that HUGE home of yours. Remember all the mountain you will go through. But also not brake the bank. Good luck can't wait to see what you got. Hope it not a Dodge
Buy a Ford. Have a 2016 F350 dually and love it. HOWEVER had I known about the turning radius on the 450 I might have gone with it. End of the year clearance on the 350 and got a great deal
FWYSGT i agree 2016 f350 4x4 sd crew cab 66,000+ miles not a problem I tow 3 different types of trailers with it and have loved it since i got it ! not one regret .... i love the super duty so much my wife begs me to either drive the toyota fj cruiser or the jeep rubicon just to remember the ford is 1000 times more comfortable
Both the F350DRW and the Ram 3500DRW have models with higher cargo capacity than the F450, the F450 is a more heavy duty vehicle and as such has a much higher curb weight than either, but not a higher GVW. So it just depends on what is important to you.
Ford body is aluminium which should never rust. So if you are keeping this for a long time it seems to be good reason to get one. You should google to see if Dodge or Ford or Chevy uses have reported any huge issues. From everything I have heard the 450 is an around great truck but the 350 has more creature comforts.
Nissan Titan XD The Cummins diesel engines made an impression with their notable reliability and durability, and Nissan Titan XD comes with these qualities as well. The 5.6-L V8 petrol engine allows for this car to run for miles without a hitch. But if you want to be certain, and go with something that has been tried and tested you might want to go with the Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel. Listed among cars that get over 250,000 miles without issues with regular maintenance.
We have had a Ford and a Dodge Truck that we towed our 5th wheel with. Both were good but we really liked the Ford. It was much more comfortable on long trip. If I was in the market for a truck I would look really hard at a Ford. Good luck!!
I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 4X4 3500 With the Cummins. An I pull a 44ft 5th wheel toyhuller. Have no problem with it I live on the West coast. Lot of mountains driving.I have a Chevy for many years.but now The Dodge Ram is the way to go.
The fact that sales people don’t know everything about what they are selling irritates me. When I did the walk through on my Tiffin I knew waaaay more than the 22 year old kid who was supposed to be the dealers expert. If you sell a product you should be an expert on it!
@@scottbieber1731 i was looking for triple square bits at one of my local Homie Depot and the "tool expert" had no clue what i was talking about and tried looking for it as a torx bit i said no its a triple square bit he then replied there is no such thing mean while i found it on homie depots website lol
I understand your point. However, having supported sales people for decades, in a highly-technical industry (electronic test & measurement--what we call T&M), I have a bit of a counterpoint. First, sales people have to support many different products, and there is a LOT to know about each one. Being 3rd level support for sales engineers (who generally were pretty smart), I really was the expert on the entire product, and even I didn't know EVERYTHING. Sometimes I had to test the product to see, and sometimes I had to talk to one of the designers (who usually didn't know nearly as much as I did about the whole product, but knew more about a specific piece of it). That said, sales people generally don't get hired because of their technical knowledge. It helps, but the key skill they are hired for is ability to sell. Sorry, that's just the way the world works. It would be nice to have experts more available, like we have Field Application Engineers (1st level support) in T&M.
I think you should definitely go with Ford. We just purchased a 2019 Ford F-350 PowerStroke Diesel. I LOVE the Ultimate Tow Camera!! Our truck looks almost just like that one with the exception of ours not being a dually. It is my first SuperDuty, but I have owned four F-150’s. I love this F-350 !!
I have a Ram 3500 High output Cummins Turbo Diesel dually Aisen Transmission . This is a heavy duty tow vehicle in the Ram Trucks. Tow Capacity is approximately 35,000 pounds of course their load capacity is fairly high. I would give Dave Smith Motors in Kellog ID a call as they will give you one of the best deals you can find.

Ford F-450...I have a '19 F250 and I have been exceptionally happy with it.
Sure! Why not! 😎👙👣🏄🍷🌴🌴🌴
Ford f450 for pulling the toy hauler..
You need to buy a Ram truck. Ford has to many engine problems.
EnjoyTheJourney.Life
Buy a real truck a GM product
Ford
Found on road dead
Found on Russian dump
Fix or repair daily
Full of rusty doors
Dodge
The only good thing is the Cummins
Test drive a 2020 gmc then compare
But from a turning perspective, they are the same
Have you been to Best Buy? Lol
Agreed!! Definitely go f450.
Thanks again JD for all the advice! Yes, I was pretty sure he didn't know what he was talking about. Haha!
Big truck big RV! You're absolutely right! Although I'm a Chevy fan! The turning radius is pretty impressive. Just watched your video on the Chaparral 367bh! Awesome!
All the brands make a good truck, but the f450 has the wide track front end that makes maneuvering much easier in tight spaces. For me it is worth it.
Stay safe.
Prayers for your wife's health. May you all have many years of happy RV time.
Glad she beat it! she’s a warrior for sure! #fuckcancer
rnich56, I’m saying prayers 🙏🏼 for your wife right now 💕 My father had pancreatic cancer as well.
Our 04 Powerstroke pulls our 12k fifth wheel without even breathing hard. They’re amazing trucks. Go for it.
I have been researching trucks for 5 years now, so know a little about them. Diesel maintenance is mega $$$$
Oh my...black looks awesome! I know cause my F250 IS black...but men everything stands out on it... the good and the bad.
We really like our f450 for towing. Makes it an almost stress free experience and the turning radius is awesome.
Ram is a nice truck but i would definitely stay away from Chevrolet GMC and if you can definitely go with the F-450
@@donovan4074 stay away?? To each his own. It'll tow whatever they have plus a good ride.....
My 2 cents is.... a Ford F-450 is a beast. Good warrantee, good service history on that model. Look great and ford tough :) have fun on your search!
Thanks so much Tim!
We LOVE our Ford F-350 King Ranch DRW diesel. Incredible truck for towing and traveling!
You won’t regret going with the F-450. A solid tow vehicle for sure. Love your channel by the way.
👆🏻 what he said
We just bought our fourth F450 we just got the 20/20 with the 10-speed haven't towed with it yet
The 450's gear ratio is will make mountains as breeze as well.
but rough on fuel mileage.
The 450 is great for the turning radius but that's it. If I'm spending that much time in a truck in going with Ram for the interior and you cannot beat the air bag suspension on the Ram to keep it level. Those 2 things to me make the Ram the best choice.
My 2017 Ford 450 is a total WINNER ... the tight turn radius is amazing!
Good luck!
I have a 2018 F450 Lariat and I love it . I pull a Jayco Eagle Ht 28.5 with no problem.
I’m a die hard Chevy guy but I think I’d go with the 2019/2020 C3500 Dodge with the 6.7 Cummins.
David Gibson Same here I switched from Chevy and the newer Powerstrokes are great!
FORD TOUGH! Have owned the 350 and the 450 and loved them both! Go w/the F450...you won’t regret it.
We bought a GMC Sierra 3500. It is awesome! Plan on towing a travel trailer stating this year full time.
Hey I would suggest that you dont forget my previous tip. Register that in a state like Montana[google the details] and avoid paying ANY sales tax
We love our Ram 3500 long bed dually diesel truck. We have the back up camera parking help too. That’s a beaut. It does have better turn radius than ours. But really expensive. Good luck with your choice. (RV DMC) Alice
Another good reason for Sherie to follow in the Prius is to be a safety spotter, if anything happens like a tire blowout, she can tell you.
Yes!
The F450 is a great truck, we have a 2016 F350 and we know that there may come a time to upgrade but, right now we see safe as to weight!
Ford also has the best trailer towing package setup making it easier to maneuver any trailer with cameras for backing your trailer and trailer parking assist. No other company will ever bet the F-450 or F series line up
Ford’s are likely the most comfortable on long road trips. Recently drove from Texas to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and back. Great trip.
Ram high output with the aisin transmission is probably the best choice. Just my personal opinion lol
They all make great trucks. You need to buy the truck that has the numbers you need to do the job, good luck!
Thank you!
Chose a comfy ride in your price range
I'm partial to the Alisin trans so , For me, its GMC.
A light color Ford F-350 or F450 dually The only way to go. Listen to JD I would trust his advice.... Good Luck stay health being around all those people..
Depends on the deal..If it's close to the Ram then yes...also any used trucks in the mix? The Black is sweet🍺
My only problem with the F450 is when it's time for tires it will cost you a small down payment. I'm going to try and pick up an F350 later this year. Good luck with whatever you chose and safe travels.
As long as it has the tow capacity that you need, I would.
I have a 2018 F450 King Ranch and love it. Best tow vehicle I've ever owned.
Yes guys that 4×4 FORD looks like my #1 pick!!! THANKS SAFE TRAVELS
Go with the 450 you’ll be much happier!! Safe travels y’all and stay healthy!!
Nissan Titan XD
The Cummins diesel engines made an impression with their notable reliability and durability, and Nissan Titan XD comes with these qualities as well.
Titan XD discontinued Cummins.
I had 4 16-19 diesel and gas.
Diesel had bad turbo lag.
Gas is good, but not for towing 5th wheel like theirs.
All the new diesel trucks are pretty good just need to decide which one has the features you want.
I'm with Chere. Who cares about trucks. My husband always has a chevy truck always ! He doesn't look at anything else. Good luck !
We have had a Ford and a Dodge Truck that we towed our 5th wheel with. Both were good but we really liked the Ford. It was much more comfortable on long trip. If I was in the market for a truck I would look really hard at a Ford. Good luck!!
I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 4X4 3500
With the Cummins. An I pull a 44ft 5th wheel toyhuller. Have no problem with it
I live on the West coast.
Yes! I agree!
I hate going to Home Depot and Lowe's just because most of the people I talk to don't know crap!
@@scottbieber1731 i was looking for triple square bits at one of my local Homie Depot and the "tool expert" had no clue what i was talking about and tried looking for it as a torx bit i said no its a triple square bit he then replied there is no such thing mean while i found it on homie depots website lol
Some people call them star bits too
And then they expect a huge commission for not doing their job
I learned to be a Harley Davidson Riding Academy Instructor at Brandon Harley Davidson which is part of the same company!
Your gonna love the engine brake on a newer truck, regardless of which brand you go with.
I have worked for Dodge/Ram dealers for the past 20 years and I drive a Ford Superduty....Ford F450 all the way, you will not regret it.
Definitely go for the Ford. I'm on my 3rd and have always been happy. Best quality.
So what happened to your first and second Ford if you're on your third already?
@@lrizo3841 Kept upgrading, getting bigger and better. Now I have F250.
@@brianaz6964 I like the 7.3 powerstroke.. noisy but good
