I half-remembered this from when I was little and watching cartoons at my granny's. The bird lament at 5:00 haunted me for years but I could never find it until now- thanks for uploading this!!
This happened to me a lot, I could remember any tune or a small detail if it had a strong emotional impact on me. I'm glad you found this cartoon again!
This one brings me such nostalgia that it kind of makes me want to cry. I had to be a wee lil kid watching this cartoon. I still remember a lot of parts of it.
One of my childhood favorites. When I first saw this I thought the baby bird was dead for good, but to my joy he lived when the rain came down. The baby bird should have not flown so far from home.
My favorite part from this certain musical 🎶 cartoon is when this little kid 🧒🏻 gave’d up and started to feel nice 😊 about the baby bird 🐦 and became good friends 🧒🏻🐦 ❤ after all!
I still have a bit of a hard time watching this cartoon, almost 40 years later, tbh. I've been told numerous times, by family members, that when the baby bird "died," I always used to start crying, and pacing the room whenever I watched it as a little kid. (My sister still makes fun of me for that sometimes)
It was the leadup to WWII......to delight little german children into the joys of fascism, war & domination, while imparting propaganda with sly cunning, to the parents. It's got 'nazi' stamped all over it.
Damned Vegans! Who wrote the script, Dr. Kellogg? I have to admit it, though. The dramatic tension when the little bugger was trying to escape the last bullet was precious. ;)
Happy birthday, Hey, Tres, Good to see you, Kids Week Toe the rescue, Let’s Play, Have a Seat, The Talk, Let’s Sharon Osbourne, it’s time for Live with Kelly and Ryan Feet, Good to see you, Good morning, Uncle Buddy, Adylyn, Madysen, Cannon, Adrienne VS Uncle James Washington ☀️🌞😃💺👍👋🎂
Just as hitler & the nazis were making their presence known in europe & hollywood.....did anyone else see the little tree hopping singing dancing birdies form a swastika in the tree at 1:02 ?? Oh yes, slow it down. The formation of the little birds flying? Luftwaffe! ......verrrrrrrrrry interrrrrresstink!
Saw this on one of the classic VHS tapes my grandmother had. This cartoon was a real tearjerker, I'm 28 and it still makes me cry.
yeh lad betty boop on the friek and the the xmas toon.
Omg I'm 28 too and my grandma also had this VHS. Lol! This really stuck with me when I was little!
I've seen it on the VHS tapes as well. I just love vintage cartoons. It's so nostalgic.
Yeah, it made me cry to when they sing at the start.
I just came across this cartoon, after many years. Just watching the images, without the sound on, at almost 45 years of age, still choke me up… 🥺

In 1949 this was remade into a Little Audrey cartoon
Thankyou! I adore the old cartoons.
“Cartoons from back then were so cheerful and whimsical…”
Cartoons from back then… 🫤👆🏻
Well it had a happy ending
@@TheKYLEdavid
Cartoons from those days rarely didn’t
That part starting at 3:55 literally brought me to tears until they revived the little bird sucessfully toward the end.

Same, I was so happy when he survived and the boy learned his lesson and fed the birds 🥰
I'd argue that children shouldn't be left alone with guns, nor should they be cruel to animals.
The boy's cry of relief at the end like yeh, I feel that, little dude.
Thanks! 👏 👏 👏. I saw this fascinating short as a youngster (at 12, in 1999).
Remember this from my childhood xx
I miss watching this cartoon when I was little
Lovely cartoon! I like it !! Thank you CCC !!
Skinamarink brought me here.
My favorite part from this certain musical 🎶 cartoon is when this little kid 🧒🏻 gave’d up and started to feel nice 😊 about the baby bird 🐦 and became good friends 🧒🏻🐦 ❤ after all!
Thank you
Thanks you so much i was looking for this cartoon Long Time ago
I haven't thought about this one in years
This was remade as a Little Audrey 'toon in 1947 (same title). I'm not sure which version is MORE depressing!
Definitely this one
Who else recognized this from Sciamarink?
Analog horror
Thank you x
I was 3 years old in 1998 when I first watched this.
Mad. Interesting that the first background is a model.
I wouldn't have noticed. It must have saved a lot of work.
old cartoons were dark, man
Well, if you want to teach kids to be kind to animals it's best to scare them straight! 😂
Where’s this kid’s parents anyway? They just let him break everything in the house
Good Old days
Hvala Mila.
Love ❤️

Interesting, hope you make more content
Well what did the little brat think was gonna happen after he shot the poor little bird?
It's hard to believe, but Elvis was two months old when this came out. Charles Grodin was in his mother's womb as well as many other celebrities.
This cartoon/video is SO cool! It's from "back in the days" when prayer AND repentance WERE "allowed", & even encouraged!
Vou assistir.
Obrigada.
😅😅😅😅well information good show you can 😅😅😅

😅😮😅😅😮😅😮😅😮😅😅well information good show 😅
This was very strange.
Not really, that’s what kids did when you gave them a gun. Go out and kill animals, and peoples pets!
It was the leadup to WWII......to delight little german children into the joys of fascism, war & domination, while imparting propaganda with sly cunning, to the parents. It's got 'nazi' stamped all over it.
Little Audrey?
3:42 He shoots the bird and then regrets it
❤❤❤
Is No one talking how the boy got a gun?… no one? just me?
It was probably a present people have different ideas back then

Wow!
I didn’t see any swastika at 1:02.
