When Someone You Love Has A Disability Ft. Aashna Shroff | Leeza Mangaldas

- Aashna Shroff grew up with her masi Preeti, who has Down Syndrome. They share a very special bond, and through this conversation we hope we can help cultivate a greater awareness about Down Syndrome and a greater sense of empathy towards people with disabilities. Around the world, and especially in India, disability remains a topic shrouded in stigma, and society tends to dehumanize people with disabilities. We hope that this conversation will help shed light on the fact that people with disabilities can lead full and complex lives, with their very own hopes and dreams, and need love and affection and respect, just like anyone else.

M proud of you
Aashna is the most humble and nicest social media influencer... she has such good vibes ❤️
So glad someone has finally leveraged their influence to highlight something that exists in other families too, who need to know that they're not alone in this. Also this young girl Aashna, has spoken so beautifully, & explained it so simply that it will certainly resonate with a wider spectrum of audience. Kudos 👏👏👏 for this genuinely commendable effort!!!
Such family members are beyond special for their family 💝
Thank you leeza for bringing Aashna. She is such a well spoken & humble human. More power to Aashna & her masi. God bless.

Finally someone who is willing to talk about Down Syndrome openly. And Aashna, thank you for sharing your story.
Leeza, thank you once again ❤️ people need to see this and understand and STOP THE DISCRIMINATION!
They're no different than us. They think like us. They have their own personalities. They have their own ideas. They just have some physical challenges. That's all.
Thank you so much Leeza ❤️
In my opinion it is the "tone" which actually matters while addressing someone like masi❤ rather than the words we use.
"Differently abled" sounds more right!
We use the word "Specially abled" which I think sounds even better
@@sumabhat8983 indeed!
I have polio and i really dont mind being called anything as long as it is not in a disrespectful tone... 😊😊😊... I'm physically handicapped and I am aware and it's perfectly fine just the way some.people say it matters 😘
Even my cousin has a down syndrome,bt he's great at singing and remembering phone numbers. And I love him a lot.
Masi is so sweet and give her a tight hug behalf of me ❤️
Family n society support bahut jaruri hai kyunki feelings to sabhi me hoti hai....accha laga jo aap logo ne awareness dikhaya
👍👍
This is the sweetest thing on the internet.Thankyou for making this happen ❤
There is nothing in the world called disability.....in our hospitality industry we call it 'specially abled' Ms.Leeza has very beautiful in heart rather then her beautiful face....👍
Aashna's family is so nice to accept her masi
I could totally relate to this topic as my sister too is differently abled. She has a very rare disability and it makes me cry sometimes when our society looks at her in a certain discomforting way...also sometimes laugh at her
I don't know whether it's my upbringing or because of my sister being a certain way...but i never make other differently abled people in public feel awkward
Such an empathic video. I can understand the journey as I too went through the same. Thank you so much for this❤️❤️
Daisy! 💖 thank you for your support and encouragement always
Such a wonderful video concept! More power to you both :)
Thank u ...thank u so much ! As a doctor, who see on regular basis the discrimination n differently people with Down Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities in hospitals n other public places...mental retardation is seen not in all cases ...all we need Is love and affection..!
Love her personality more now 💙
But can we take a minute to appreciate how cute she looked in her childhood 😍 OFC she's cute now too :)
This should be trending page yaar
Preeti maasi is beautiful 😘😘😘 my sister has DS we love her she is every one s favourite
I don’t count DS as disability they are just different
I saw this video, first video from your channel, and i was sold I subscribed.... this is the kinda content we need !! Kudos
My sister is Down syndrome.
Down syndrome is not a disability- its a genetic variation
In india we donot have special school to guide them like other country so in turn becomes a disability
I think india need to grow more attention towards differently abled people and their training and school
Anyways cute video💕
This was such an amazing conversation Leeza and also she is Soo cute❤️😍 Preeti masi is Soo Soo cool💫🙏
