Hey Ben, that's a great piece of information. Btw what is the plastic sleeves that you use for storing the banknotes. Does it have a specific name?

Greetings. I just google currency sleeves. There are some brand names, but this is archival quality that isnt a brand name. I pick them up at my local coin shop. I have seen some german firms selling a smilar sleeve, and there is a banknote company in Boston called Denly's of Boston that sells a high quality and very pricey mylar sleeve product...

in fact, when you google currency sleeves, you can get many Amazon links. BCW seems to make a popular product. But of course I have no idea if they are able to ship affordably to where you might be....

Since I shot the video, a friend of mine from the IBNS has shared with me that the water mark is of the "khalq" wording on the arms...

How come they removed the Khalq insignia from the other notes of the Khalq era?

    • @NumismaticNoteswithBenjamin

It is my understanding that this note is the only note from the khalq Era. Another denomination was prepared, but it was not issued.

@@NumismaticNoteswithBenjamin they must have printed non khlaq notes into 1979

@@NumismaticNoteswithBenjamin as notes without khalq insignia were issued in 1979 so I guess they didn't change the design in time

My friend will have published a book on Afghanistan banknotes from the beginning of issues to date, I am sure it will be addressed. I will post a comment here when it is.
