It would have been better if they had provided a 6 or 8 ft wide section separating to the two lanes highway. This section should be lined with solid double lines so that the vehicles on each side can not cross to pass another vehicle. the midd;e section can be used only by emergency vehicles. Great Wah Khan corridor will provide a road between China Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmanistan. Due to snow fall the road will be available for 4 to 6 months. If and when the traffic on Wah Khan increases and it becomes necessarily to kee it open through out the year. As it will need lot if survey and funds to do so, the same may, be under taken as and when possible .
Currently, only China has the ability, funds, and management experience to build the Wakhan Transport Corridor project. If it is a railway, there is no problem of mountains being blocked due to heavy snowfall. It can ensure year-round access. But the Chinese government is not enthusiastic about building this railway. The reason is also very simple. This is a thankless project. The Chinese government does not want to provide a channel for terrorist organizations entrenched in Afghanistan and the entire Central Asia region to enter China.

It would have been better if they had provided a 6 or 8 ft wide section separating to the two lanes highway. This section should be lined with solid double lines so that the vehicles on each side can not cross to pass another vehicle. the midd;e section can be used only by emergency vehicles. Such adesign of road gives the drivers on both sides a lot of safety and less stress.
For the Wakhan Corridor, only freight rail can be considered. Road projects can have very low-level, very simple roads.
