Thanks a lot for your great videos! I've been enjoying the post-processing info a lot and you've helped me recently decide between the 50-140 and 70-300! Long story short: I'm in love with my 50-140 and don't go anywhere without it. :)
If I can be so bold I'd like to ask you for advice, I've been reading online reviews for over a week about circular polarizers and I find it very hard to make a choice. I am looking for a 72mm CPL that matches the quality of the 50-140. Is there a polarizer you'd recommend or point me to a good source? And I was wondering how come you use a 77mm filter, since I assume that won't fit in the lens cap? Again, thanks for your videos and keep up the awesome work!
Hi, thanks so much for the lovely comment, I really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed my work! Okay, polarizer. Well, I've been using the Marumi DHG Super Circular for almost 8 years, and I do love it so much. No image degradation and excellent polarization effect. I also used NiSi filters and the Pro Nano Circular Polarizer is quite amazing. PolarPro has the Quartzline CPL which is absolutely great. With each one of these, you can't go wrong. Of course, there are many other brands in the camera filters market, but honestly, I didn't have the opportunity to try them all :) ahah
I use 77mm diameter filters since I have other lenses that use the 77mm filter thread (like the 16-55, for instance), so to save money, space in the bag, and weight, it's much more convenient to use a cheap step-up ring to convert the thread from 77mm to 72mm.
Thanks again for the support and enjoy your 50-140mm, it's an excellent travel companion :) Ciao
Careful asking someone to ring your bell lol! 🥊🥊
Cheers, Seamus! 😄
I can't believe you fit all of that inside your backpack!
Great video! The headlight is a must have!
That’s the essential :) Thanks so much for the comment! Ciao
Extremely useful video! Thank you!!
Hi Owen, glad it was useful :) Ciao
That backpack looks sick! And so do your shots, great video 🔥
Hi, thanks so much for the comment and glad you enjoyed my work :) Ciao
Very helpful with detailed introduction ! Thank you so much
Hi Dong, glad you found the video useful, and thanks for the comment! Ciao :)
Fantastic video Andrea. Many Thanks.
Hi Tony, glad you enjoyed the video, very much appreciated! Thank you :) Ciao
Useful video and nice sweatshirt man! 😁🤘🏻
Ciao vecchio, la felpa del team che vince sempre! :) ahahah Grazie mille \m/
congratulations on getting all that in one bag!!
my back, I fear, would snap in half carrying all that :-)
thanks for sharing
Hi, thanks so much for the comment. I could definitely save a bit more weight with a different tele and a smaller drone, but for now the total weight is good for my back :) ciao
That's a lot of gear in one backpack! I think the first thing I'll have to get is a shower cap ha ha! Great video mate!
Hi, thank you very much for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, the shower cap is a must for any self-respecting landscape photographer :) ha ha ha! Ciao
Thanks for the breakdown, I picked up a smallrig folding tool after watching it 👍🏻
Fantastic! Thanks for the comment and glad the video was helpful :) Ciao
Hey Andrea, great video, thanks! Really interesting about solving the parralax problem on panoramas, I would love to see a video about that 👍
Thanks so much for the comment, and glad you found the video useful! Great suggestion :) Ciao
Great content Andrea. Not only are you an accomplished guide, your videos are informative - direct and to the point. Well done. Borrowing your signature signed off - Ciao.
Thanks so much, Tom. That means a lot to me! Ciao Alpha 21 :)

Great video, thank you! Greetings from Sweden.
Hi Curt, thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it. Give my best to Sweden :) \m/ Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Will do! :)
very useful video, thank you for the tip for good nodal rails, I guess with L-bracket you can use it in the vertical position, too
Hi Tomas, glad you found the video useful. Yeah, definitely, the L-bracket is very convenient to use the camera in portrait position on the nodal rail. Nice catch :) Ciao
Andrea I just found your RUclips channel - didn’t know that you are into it as well! Keep up the good work and have a nice evening. BR Jan
Hey man, thanks so much 😃 Ciao 🤘🏻
Really useful video, thank you. Interesting about the slide - I've started to use a Sunway geared head, just to avoid the problems of stitching panoramic heads, plus it means I don't have to use a Small Rig anymore, just to change from portrait to landscape (I never liked the way it caught the screen).
Hi George, thanks so much for the comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. I've never used the head you mentioned, but it looks pretty neat! Ciao :)
Birra Forst! Chè piacere!
Citazione perfetta 😄🤙🏻
Great video Andrea! I'd love to know what is this place around 40s. into the video, this vantage point with cross, surrounded by mountains. Can you tell me where is it?
Thanks, Thomasz! Glad you enjoyed the video. The intro was filmed in Passo Falzarego. Ciao :)
LOTR, Galadriel line. Sweet!
The head torch is essential to avoid any the risk to be cocooned by Shelob 😄 Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto exacty 😂I've been recently to Madeira Island and had to take mine also. Handy in those tunnels at some trails. I also use it for astrophotography
It’s a very handy tool :) Ciao
A year later and the new X-H2 and 2s is out...any desire to try it or do a review for those of us considering the move...
Hi Matt, thanks for stopping by. I tried the X-H2 for about an hour last week, but that's not enough time to make a significant test or a review. In a couple of months, I should have it with me for a few days so I can try it more in-depth. Ciao
Thanks for sharing. I am wondering how much does your backpack weigh with all gear in?
Ho Sergey, thanks for the comment! The total weight (with a half-liter of water) is around 8kg. Ciao :)
Hello Andrea, just found and subscribed to your channel. Great content. I have a question. I also use the deity microphone and I really like it but so far I have not been able to find a deadcat for it. Can you tell me where I can find one that fits the deity d3 ? Thank you and good luck with the channel.
Hi Nanco, thanks so much for the comment and for subscribing. Much appreciated! I've been using the original deadcat that Deity provides when you buy the microphone. From what I know, there are some other third-party companies that sell similar products. On Aliexpress you should be able to easily find one for the D3 mic model. I hope it helps. Ciao :)
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hello Andrea, thank you for your answer and your time. In Holland I could not find a deadcat for the deity in any photo store ,but on aliexpress I did find them. Thanks again and good luck with the channel.
no vignette at 10mm with step up ring + cal + nd ?
You can have surely a slight vignetting with all the filters applied, but I use very rarely both CPL + ND.
What do you think i should buy, the fujifilm xt 30 or the 30 ii? 😊
Hi Kerstin , thanks for stopping by. It depends. It depends on how important are the few new additions, like the AF speed improvement, the extra Film simulations, the super slo-mo at 240fps, and the resolution increase of the LCD. I believe that if you are not a sport or wildlife photographer, the X-T30 version 1 is absolutely a great camera that covers most of your needs. I hope it helps :) Ciao

Hi Andrea. I've seen you briefly showing a Sandisk SD card here, but I wanted to know from you, do you have a truly standout SD card brand you mainly use and trust, especially when using it in harsher conditions (cold freezing temperatures in the mountains or under hot sunny conditions)? Thanks very much, ciao :)
Hi, thanks for the comment. I primarily use Sandisk but I also have a couple of Lexar 128Gb which are pretty neat. In general, I’ve never had any issues with them. Both are very solid and reliable in almost any conditions. You can’t go wrong with both. I hope this helps 😃 Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi, thanks for the quick response. Actually you helped me very much, because I probably already use the very same SD cards as you :). I mainly use the Lexar SD cards 128GB (and I recently added some 256GB in case I start doing more video), but I have the silver series of the Lexar cards not the gold ones, you use the silver ones as well? And I have some SanDisk Extreme Pro cards. Why I asked is because I thought to have some issues with the SanDisk when I hiked with some minus 4/5 degrees (which I had on a Sony camera), but didn't have any issues with my Lexar cards (on my XT4). So I questionned whether I had the right cards for these kind of temperatures. It seems I do though ;)) Cheers man!
@@trezegol2007 No worries! I actually used a Lexar SILVER version 128 GB and had some problems with corrupted files, so I stopped using it. Since I switched completely to SanDisk SD cards, I haven't had any problems so far. I think you won't have any problems with these SD cards even at low temperatures. I've tested them several times to low temperatures like -23°C 😄Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi ! :) I will have to gather some more personal experiences, I hope the issues I had with the SanDisk were occasional because I like working with this brand too. Thanks though for reassuring me on the subject ;)) Ciao
It seems like 2 people doesn't like Porchetta coppola. What's wrong with them?
Ahahahha, doesn’t seem possible, does it? Pancetta coppata is disappointed :) Thanks for the funny comment! Ciao 😄
