  • M54B30 engine 231 bhp. 5 speed manual. Open airfilter.
    Chipped: Vanos, ignition, revlimiter etc. altered in ECU with TunerPro RT and guide from MSx.
    MS43 Ecu.
    268.000 km. New PVC system and gaskets replaced. Great guide found in 50skid video!

    I love how the engine produces no power or acceleration beyond about 6-8, just lots of screaming noises and the sound of death getting a lot closer

      It s a beautiful engine, but yeah, sometimes my m54b25 is louder and good sounding more than it is fast, but as a 21 yo I really enjoy it without killing my self like immediately

      Put an M50 intake and some cams, problem solved. The stock intakes on the M54 don’t flow enough at those revs

      @@nvl2691 yeah, that’s the stupid oil pump design for the M54 for you. Thankfully mine is the 2.5 model and doesn’t really have too bad of the harmonics problem

      @@Turbo_The_Femboy_Fox It's not really the harmonics' fault actually. The S54 crankshaft is very similar and has an even longer stroke than the M54B30, yet it revs to 8300 rpm. Why? Because it has an oil pump chain tensioner. The M54 doesn't. The oil pump chain rattles at high rpm and transmits those vibrations straight to the oil pump nut and shaft. Even the 2.5s and 2.2s are affected, but less than the 3.0s.
      The solution is to fit the S54's oil pump chain tensioner. There's a few kits that allow you to do this. Combined with a safety wired oil pump nut, the problem is pretty much eliminated.

    Impressive. 0-100km/h in under 6, and 160kmh in about 15 seconds - though you'd get these figures with a shorter final drive and 6750rpm redline.

      You should learn how to count. Start at 09 and 100 at 16sec that 7 seconds to 100km/h

    If you didn't upgrade the oil pump at this point, this engine has numbered days. Do you have a dyno graph of this car? I bet power only keeps dropping at such high rpm

    Your oil pump shaft loves anything above 6700. You ll be looking for another engine soon.

    That engine is about to throw it's crank damper out revving that high. Terrible harmonics for high rpm.

      Only open filter - and the vanos / ignition adjustments help also to make it Sound better 👍

      @@KompressorPete I get the open filter, I have an induction kit & tune on my Z4. But vanos makes it sound better? Didn't think that was a thing

      Hi - yes I can share the Bin file. I used pro tuner RT and a xdf file for making the Bin mods. With a break out cable it is quite easy to write the Bin 👍

      Yep - as far as I know. Sold it but it was in good shape 👍
      Had a m52b30 that I ran to 7500 rpm with a supercharger for years - no problems.

    Comment détruire 1 moteur qui est déjà performant jusqu'à 6500trm.

      Stock its 6700 rpm I think

    YOURE OVERREVVING THE ENGINE! TURN IT BACK TO AT LEAST BETWEEN 7000 AND 6200 RPM FOR THE ENGINE TO LAST LONGER!!!

      ​@@kiri2863 Hey, i am motorsports engineer and i can definitely tell you that this engine is not producing any power improvement if going over 6800 rpm. Also the video clearly shows that. The engine sounds tortured after 7000 rpm.

    You've killed that engine with those useless revs. It doesn't even accelerates as fast as the stock settings.
