Idk man, every og i know has quit this game. I played since season 8 in ow1, and i played all through double shield and still had fun. Ow2 felt empty from the beginning, and man, it is really bad now, i went back to r6

Game is already too far gone. Most of the team that made it is has moved on to other things, among them the ones that actually cared about delivering a fun/interesting product and not just a money making machine (Kaplan, Chu, etc.). I want to believe Aaron Keller wants to do this too, but with the absolute fiasco that was Blizzard at the time of the scandal, he's basically working with an entirely new team that is nowhere nearly as invested in the game. And we already know Activision/Blizzard's management and its now parent company, Microsoft, only care about the bottom line. If he really cares, he's fighting a war on his own, and we might as well just call it a "last stand" then. Even if they reverted everything back to what Overwatch was in its first 2 years. People have already lost interest and their trust in the company. And like Flats said towards the end of the video, it would be just a PR nightmare, like when they announced the story mode was scrapped.
People are complaining about overpriced skins when the real problem is that those overpriced skins are all we get, like as a F2P player what do you really get? What is there to do? Play a map I see every thirty games? Events that only last 3 weeks? It’s not new content if it’s gone by the time you get to it yknow, and even if it isn’t it’s not like I can do anything with it but look pretty. Plus all the challenges are always just “play some games”, like you can’t come up with anything more creative? New modes are cool but those are temporary too. What are you left with after all the temporary stuff is over? Overwatch 2. Is that really what you want? New heroes are the only thing I’m even slightly interested in, but seeing how the Venture launch went it doesn’t seem like Blizzard is putting much backing into what is arguably their most cared about content. Like holy hell Blizzard, you said you needed some time but it’s been years at this point. You’re one of the biggest gaming companies on the planet, and are now owned by one of the biggest tech companies on the planet, and yet you can barely compete with indie studios in terms of both effort and output. Pathetic. Wasn’t meant to be a rant but MAN I just wish this game could be good. End rant.
That's...actually a really good point. There's nothing for people to go for when you refuse to spend money on the game. Every season it's just "here's like 1 blue skin in the free battle pass, but it's for a hero you don't play", the collabs and events are all paid skins only, and we still don't have a fixed, permanent mode that awards anything aside from comp, and we can't play comp because balance is FUCKED.
You know what would have fixed everything, Blizzard? PvE.
It truly is a dark age in OW right now. My main account was banned for mass report for falsely using hacks. Meanwhile, the game is filled with real Hackers/Cheaters.
The game doesn't really progress in any direction. No new content, no new lore, no real balance, it's just a "who is broken this season" roulette, and that's it. And be honest, skins are always a 6 out of 10 at best. And people here who have played from OW1, know the real potential. We know how big this game can be and how well this can do, but it just isn't, it's stale and it's been rotting for a while till it really becomes TF2 for real this time.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Banned for hacks just because I've been mass reported. Of course I am scared to post about it because this is the internet we're talking about. I paid money on my main account and now I have no skins. Why don't we have an anti-cheat? Why is this community so toxic? Why is it possible to ban someone to the moon because they made you mad in a game because they were playing bad?

Flats becoming a variety streamer is what I've wanted for him since OW2 got the decapitating news about PvE. Not to be too hyperbolic, but EVERYONE I played OW with (including myself) was so excited for OW2 PvE and when they announced the scrapping of it, we all just stopped playing. I honestly think PvE was what kept a decent amount of OW1 players in OW2. When it went away, so did we. Hope the best for the future of your channel and career flats. Can't wait for the next Roll for Sandwich :)

That’s 100% why I don’t play anymore. My buddy and I would tank duo in OW1, and I begrudgingly got him to play OW2 cuz of the PvE, only for it to be cancelled. After that I lost all hope in the game lol.
I find it so ridiculous how they didnt add the Uprising, Retribution and Storm Rising to the PVE 🤦♂
All three members of my trio quit when that got announced. The lore and story is what made me try Overwatch, but the scrapped promises and $20 skins made me leave.

@@Hietakissa The iceberg is the obvious balance issues that they've been warned about by play testers and high level players, and that they're dancing around anyway despite all of that. The point they're trying to prove is more of PR since at this point they've dug themselves so far that admitting they made these mistakes would be a huge hit to their credibility. Even though it's obvious to the people who actually play.

Overwatch is like an immortal being who keeps dying for fun, but all it would take is someone coming along and actually disposing of the remains so it doesnt reanimated, and that's what is finally happening, we have legit games with the same gameplay loops coming in as the games dying again, and all it would take is concord having that same feel where you have holistic kits rather than swappable weps like valorant, or marvel rivals having that same chaotic feel to finally put a nail in that coffin, I mean were all sitting here laughing at more ow killers but how many times can you look death in the face and survive? Everything has its limits and theres legitimate reason to be concerned on this ow death cycle.
I mean concord is litterally appealing to the LGBTQ community just like overwatch, its driving home that'll have lore drops alot in game, it legitimately could be the game to finally leave ow in the dust.

The game is so dry there is nothing to look forward, no animated shorts,no pve, no Netflix show/anime the only content is the skins and the balance changes are garbage, they never fix the hacking or smurfing issues
Overwatch 2 lacks skill expression. In Overwatch skill was rewarded, in Overwatch a plat dps could jump on his friend's gold account and get him up to plat in a matter of hours, wiping the floor with 90 percent of the games he played in gold, in overwatch 2 a plat dps can jump on a friend's gold account and do a little more damage.
In Overwatch skill expression was not making mistakes, spotting the enemy's mistakes and then having the mechanics to punish their errors, in Overwatch 2 skill expression is doing your role's job with efficiency.
Mistakes in this game are not punishable in the same way they were in Overwatch 1.
In Overwatch a moira pops ult and pushes forward too far, she's dead.

Almost every hero in the game has had their kit in some way dumbed down to allow them to get themselves or others out of their own mistakes.
This is why the game doesn't feel rewarding to play.
Blizzard has hard focused on this idea that humans feel negatives more than they feel positives and decided the best way to take the negative emotions out of the game is to remove dying, remove numbered sr, remove showing other people's ranks in games, remove player borders. They've sanitised the game to the point where it is numb to play.
This. This is what finally made me uninstall halfway into updating for this season
They can't have negative emotions because it would harm thier profits. Blizzard want the player to feel good about the hero they play so they go to the shop after the game ends and buy thier hero a skin.

The thing is there’s nothing wrong with that … in a PvE environment, where the losses don’t feel as bad and you can still continue gaining the longer you play.

@@jdawgbrawler the difference between ow1 "dying" and ow2 is people actually liked ow1's core and it had a very committed fan base that could still have fun. The meta was horrible but if you got that game that people weren't playing meta it was a blast. Ow2 doesn't have that same feel the community is toxic that committed fan base is gone and no one is having fun. That stable back bone of ow1 is gone with the pve and the lack of lore and for some the removal of a tank player

This feels like a more hopeless version of waiting for overwatch 2 to finally release/get a beta after the content drought, except this time there's nothing to latch onto and cope about for the future.
Adding 2 to the end of Overwatch was one of the biggest L's. Heaps of people that would've played never bothered trying.
Idk, I still don't think people would come to overwatch for a big 5v5 update. People already played OW years ago, and this is the same game, nothing new to see.
@@Respawnz the thought is that by announcing a sequel, that may deter the amount of people who would pick up the original to instead wait for the sequel to pick it up. And it's not like other games where you could try the other games in it's series either because OW2 is an update instead of a sequel
i don't think it's right to apply this single-player sequel releases logic to a live service / only-multiplayer game, and even if someone did pick it up, it'd be just 20$ and probably quite a bit of disappointment. Making a sequel was a pr stunt, and it worked in the sense that it spread the information to a wider audience, many have tried it after the release of 2, and got experience with an actually updating game instead of what it was in late 2019 - early 2022. Which, with all of it's downfalls, means at least they're getting fresh stuff into the player's hands and minds, and that keeps a lot of folks coming back to it from time to time.

People wouldn’t pick up OW because OW2 was announced in 2019 and they would wait for it to be released until 2021? You really think this happened at all? 2 years is a heck of a time to wait out for a game you don’t even know if you’ll like.
The actual issue with OW2 being announced was that they stopped developing OW, which was already losing popularity because of its stale balancing and underwhelming events. It completely killed the first game when it was slowly dying.

This is me. I was a tank main and waited and waited I know half a dozen tank Mains in person alone who don't play with the main issue being 5v5 but we all gave up. My olive branch is if 6v6 isn't back before 2025, I'm gone for good. Ow1 was that ex that was hard to let go. But you have to move on eventually

I think it’s pretty obvious blizzard (and Microsoft as the boss) really doesn’t care about this game. They don’t put in the resources needed to fix the game and the only effort they put in is what they can monetize (skins and emotes and battle passes.) The game is being abandoned just like ow1 but the only difference is blizzard can just BARELY keep the game alive because a store exists. This entire sequel was nothing but a swindle to justify a store page. They have an excuse to abandon the game because they can just farm skins and event passes and not really put in any effort to fix the game. It’s exactly like OW1, just with a store page. Legitimate scam.
Considering how many lazy reskins we’ve been getting recently even the skins might not keep this game alive for too long.
They need to change "avoid as teammate" to just "avoid"
If I avoid a player they should not be in my games at all, my team or enemy team.
As it sits right now, avoiding cheaters just means you are more likely to play against them and lose more games.
Cause if they did your queues would never fill. You'd accrue enough avoids over time or avoids against you that the matchmaking system would collapse even further than it already has lol
I agree. At least for the lower elos. It takes me like 2 min to queue into a game in comp, even for dps. There isn’t a lack of players there lol, if I avoid them once then they should be avoided forever

Still haven't fixed the battlepass. Random frame rate drops. This shitty bug. Persisting with the dps passive. In a rock paper scissors deaths spiral for tank - the cheaters. I think - after 7 years and investing hundereds into OW2 (yeah I know!) I think im uninstalling. Game isn't fun anymore and it's starting to feel like the investment into the game is starting to drop. Its sad but yeah

I had nearly a diamond border in OW1 (that’s like 2k hours I think?) and now I’ve got 17 hours in OW2 lmao. This game was my favorite for like six years straight and now it’s just… not fun anymore.
I support the idea of forcing all cheaters into their own cheater vs AI aimbot RANKED ONLY (no other game modes available for them) that can be spectated, just to watch them all struggle and lose their rank, then once their account hits bronze -6, their account is nuked.

For me it was 6v6, during that two year period where they abandoned the game I could play tank non stop for hours, the tank synergy was just too good and made tank an actual enjoyable experience

They really need to take a break from new maps, game modes, collabs, and maybe even new characters, and put like 80-90% of all resources into fixing the game, for at least 1 to 2 seasons. Cool skins are worth shit, when we can't enjoy the game.

This was done with Rainbow Six Siege back in the day (Operation Health they called it), and 2 seasons later it was shit again and we had even less content.

Overwatch is that toxic "friend" that you've had for so long that you don't want to dump them because you remember how good things used to be. They drip feed you hope to keep you around just for things to never change, at some point we got to wake up and realize things have been bad for a lot longer than they were good.
Also just do 6v6 at this point, a lot of the new maps are pretty open and have less chokepoints so it wouldn't be as oppressive, on top of that just slowly rework the older maps so they are more open which would also just be refreshing in general.
At this point I wouldn't be opposed to it I'm just concerned as to how certain characters would interact with each other like zarya or mauga because of their buffs that they can give to others

The aura is like the most interesting part of maugas kit and lets you help your team to make plays but it would be a bit too cracked If it stayed as is with 6v6 same with Zarya double bubble

@@sebastianrodriguez8992 No, you would change characters. For example Zarya would definitely be reverted to old OW1 Zarya. 1 Bubble for herself, 1 for an ally, can't use both on 1 target. And Mauga his change is simpler than you think. (Obviously all tanks would get a health nerf) Mauga's overdrive wouldn't work on allys, only for himself and maybe tone down the numbers. Unfortunately all we can do is talk in hypotheticals because we can't change the game. Regarding game balance, I do think Samito is very spot on with his balance takes. Zarya was always a balanced character in OW1, same with Reinhardt, Winston, Dva, but only now they started struggling against eachother (E.g. Dva into Zarya, or Winston into Dva). Tanks need to have counterplay, but in OW2 it forces tanks to need to do everything or they get left behind.
@@Chazza-01 Well that's the thing tho getting rid of maugas aura isn't what id want tho it's one of the few things that makes his kit interesting I'd rather it just not buff other tanks and I honestly like the power level of tanks and watering em down to fit another doesn't feel fun to me do t get me wrong old ow had it's fun but I didn't have as much fun on tank in ow 1 than I do in two but I know if we go back we'd have to do that which does suck
@@Chazza-01 I am convinced Mauga's kit concept was created for ow1. He's the perfect answer to everyone's fear of double shield, his damage output would absolutely shred bunker comps while another tank frontlined. I would actually go so far and say he might have been a healthy addition in ow1, but alas he's a off tank that's forced to play like a turbo charged dps so he will probably never be balanced.
My man, OW2 has been in trouble ever since it was conceptualized. The day they said "overwatch 2 will be free to play", it was in the dirt.

@@okami1272 Overwatch is the real flop in Microsoft eyes. They green lit an expansion for diablo 4 but cancel PvE in overwatch and let go of almost everyone that worked on it. We can see who Microsoft sees as more profitable.

6v6 queue times were AWFUL. And don't give me that trash Samito October 2021 patch take nonsense. That is straight cope on the 6v6 crowd. 6v6 only works if the game is open queue. Get rid of role queue and we can have 6v6 back. That is the answer
@@johnsonspark171this part. Role queue is when the game went downhill. The whole point of the game originally was counterpicking and once role queue happened, you got pigeonholed into the role you’re in and can’t actually pick what needs to be picked anymore.

What's really unmotivating is when a new season comes around, I'm super hyped up until it clicks that it's in overwatch, and that means i have to play the game. Immediately I'm like "ugh, fucking no" the game is in such a shit state. People need to stop supporting this game. It doesn't deserve it. They've literally fucked over the community countless times. It's an abusive relationship. ACTUAL Stockholm syndrome. We've just gotten so used to the bs that they throw at us that we just accept whatever we can get and say thank you. "Oh, they'll change, i know they can change.", "They can be better! We just have to give them time. " its terrible, and we gotta stop feeding them. But of course, that won't happen. People will just go "oh but pretty kiriko skin came out!" And forget everything. It's embarrassing, really.

@@rague2663 that's because their balance philosophy is based on statistics and the numbers, not enjoyment factor. That's why we see the same 3 tanks. They are numbers characters that are only good if their numbers are cranked and when they're not they perform bad and have low pick rates so they buff the numbers and they bust.
They need to change their balance philosophy and give up on the idea that the game is gonna be balanced which it never will be.
I do not like the game at all, the only reason I'm playing it is because if I don't play it with my sister, she will ghost me. It basically forces me to play the game if I want to talk to her at all.
I haven't even used any money on it besides the PvE content (massive regrets).

Bro is so right. I'm a young guy, all I do is work, come home to play games and sleep. I haven't logged onto Overwatch in days when it used to be my comfort game. There's no comfort left in it anymore. If I feel llike I played a game well, it's because they got rolled and smoked. If I feel like I played okay, I'm still left frustrated by no team comms or constant swapping from both sides, etc. etc.

Because Overwatch has all the pieces on the table of a great game. The devs just keep on throwing pieces away and wondering why they can't finish the jigsaw. And then the people who love Overwatch can see the pieces and see a potential way to put it all together but then the devs just spit in their faces and tell them they are wrong. But I wonder if the devs know they are doing it wrong but they don't care and/or don't want to hurt their fragile ego. I bet they are all in padded rooms working on OW so they don't get any outside ideas which would HELP the game. But no, they would rather think that they are right than admitting they messed up lets fix it.

I feel like we're seeing the end of OW, and the Titanic that is Overwatch as a game has taken on too much water to remain afloat; and even if the OW devs did everything correct in revitalizing the fun of the game to a T, people are just so fed up with the game that they're probably not going to want to give it a chance going forward considering how chaotic and loud the community surrounding it is, it's all-around such a shit situation

6v6, better hero balancing, more creative designs for maps and heroes, more battlepass XP or a loot box system return, less expensive skins because a bundle of blue skins costs $20, remove flashpoint, add more special event modes back to back, more hero mastery challenges, and better matchmaking would all be nice to have.

The game feels like an "AFK" type mobile game. It plays itself basically and is just a deathmatch where the abilities battle it out, not the players. I don't know the last time I got killed by something and thought "sht, they got me fffff ahh nice shot tho". I remember in OW 1 when I got killed by something it was almost always because of a deliberate decision by the enemy player and almost always something I looked at and then thought "damn, I should have seen that coming" or "should have looked for that fckk". I don't ever feel like I get beaten by other players and their decisionmaking or plays, but just by the heroes and their abilities and that's just frustratingly stupid.
I started playing OW2 about 6 months ago and so far I’ve been having a great time with it. I struggle watching videos like these because no one (neither in the video itself or the comments) is ever specific on why the game is “dying”. I don’t have that perspective because I’m so new. It’s disheartening to hear everyone bashing it (while still continuing to play) without giving specific reasons why. In fact I find it quite frustrating. Outside looking in, all I see is a bunch of people stuck in the past unwilling to accept change.
Maybe because we don't enjoy the change? 🤷 You are new, you don't know how the game used to be and feel, you wasn't there to experience it so you don't have that perspective. Thats fine. If you enjoy the game keep playing it but we who played overwatch 1 are not really having fun anymore with the game at its current state.

Someone who literally just started playing overwatch 2 in January; I love the game. It’s what of my favorite games. And I love the characters and the lore and game. It hurts to see this game going downhill. This game has so much potential. I love this game so much I just wish people cared about it more. It’s a freakin fun game I enjoy it very much. They could do so much more but it’s not getting that. It’s so bad.
Ye i started back up late last year after not playing since early OW1 and im still having a good time. Maybe cuz im on console so i never run into cheaters (and avoid comp like the plague, i cant deal with that stress and toxicity)

We have been waiting years for them to do more with this franchise and this underwhelming overwatch 2 update is all we have been getting after years of waiting so I am not optimistic about the future.
Not gonna lie, at this point it feels like Overwatch 2 is on life support, it just doesn't feel good to play it at all, it's saddening, it's maddening and then there's the cheaters that ruin the little bit of fun I could have. I don't think Blizzard is going to do much anymore, it feels more like all they're hoping is that people keep spending money on skins and cosmetics while the game keeps falling into the abyss.

Me and my buddy were just playing last night in comp and ran into someone who was pretty obviously lag switching when it was brought up in chat the enemy team didn't even deny it and only trolled. Like that's the state of the game and it's sad. Not only are we facing a massive issue with how the game feels right now, but also seeing a rise in cheaters that don't even care if they're caught.
Why would they care if there is no action being taken by the devs?

Me and 4 of my IRL friends have been playing for years and recently we were all banned for random things the sweetest of them all got her account permanently banned and she has still not been able to speak to human at Blizzard as to what the deal is. She has spent thousands on the game and recently hit diamond with her husband they truly love the game and Blizzard has ruined it by this weird banning situation. Disgusting that it's this hard to speak to human at a company.

What the hell happened to requiring a phone number to play the game? I was most excited about that because it would minimize smurfing and cheaters to a degree, and then Blizz was like "actually our servers took a massive shit day 1 and nobody could play the game so we just scrapped that idea for 12 seasons and counting and then we're not gonna address the direct issues that was supposed to alleviate."
I swear this game is the definition of 'one step forward, two steps back. Except the step forward ends up face planting on the ground. And I LOVE this game. I don't want to see this problem where everyone at Blizzard acts like everything is fine when DDOS attacks are happening, cheaters are rampent in all ranks, and ximmers still run OW on console. I'm not saying it's the worst, but it's definitely close to being the worst state OW has been in ever.

The issue is that early overwatch characters were defined by their key weakness. This meant you needed to build a team that worked and then play around the weaknesses to succeed. This made the game interesting and engaging. Then they tried to make each character “viable” in all comps and on all maps and ended up making hero’s / reworking hero’s with no (or at least less distinguishable) weaknesses. The result is that instead of interesting matchups where the counter is to the way you want your play it has become a stats arms race. This impacts the tank role most heavily because there is only 1, so they all needed a to be reworked and have either been reworked and joined the arms race or are left behind. Then to deal with the giga tanks the dps switch to tank busters…. Misery ensues
Dude this season for some reason has literally costed me matches because of how buggy, laggy, and easy the servers break, and I was ddossed and got my first ban, we were all about to win the game after making an insane comeback after the enemy team kept talking toxic trash then right before we won, my entire team was kicked to the game launch screen and when we tried to rejoin we were kicked again, and I got banned for 15 minutes because of a leaving penalty.
And this season has been off to a horrible start, the amount of ashes, pharas, and mercys are insane because I main Junkrat and Venture so whenever I'm playing comp and I don't want to counterswap I got told to kms by my teammates. Then I got reported for gameplay sabotage.
Overwatch makes me more depressed than the fifth grade where I was bullied and beatdown almost every day, because I knew that there was help and I got it, but on Overwatch...is blizzard pulling a Valve rn..?

Report system is totally broken, have account since OW1 Beta, never had even warning, this year i even got silenced. There is no human involved in report system, your report somone and if any word You used in chat triggers penalization You will get one 100%. I checked it anyone who "swear" even using !, spaces or "_" doesn't matter. 24 hr passes and i get notification he got punished, 10/10 times. System is bad.
honestly without friends on I do dailies and move on. I realized that ow was keeping me from playing all the other games I would want to play and just stopped. I kept going for so long because of artificial time investment saying it would be a waste if I stopped now. I don't create content and ow was feeling like a job

@@lukeaustin4465 I play all roles (which is to say tank and support) and I still have fun with tank. I don't usually get deleted or whatever anymore but I'm also not very high rank and 95 games out of 100 are in quick play and like 60-70 are with friends.
I think the whole "tank can't have fun" stuff is really only relevant if you're in the highly optimized lobbies or if you are consistently queuing at your peak skill. Otherwise, you might just be bad. I used to get deleted and it'd be a bit frustrating but that was when I was very new (ow2 was the first fps that clicked with me so I'm new to the genre) and had less control of cooldowns, cover, and general awareness. I've gotten better at that stuff so I get to do more now. I also learned a lot about tank from playing other roles. My Sigma play became way better when I was learning kiriko and getting to see good vs bad Sigma play.
Edit: this is just my experience. If you like paladins, that's cool. You just asked why people play he game and I'm providing my input. The game is fun and while tank could be more fun, it's usually not a bad experience for me and when it is, there are way more things at play than "tank role sucks". I'm not playing perfect and neither is my team or my opponents. Sometimes it just doesn't come together. Once again, that's just me
@@Lee-fw5bd tank would be more good to play if they could apply reduced healing along with supports being able to apply it. That's why I prefer tanking in paladins, in paladins all the roles can apply reduced healing and it scales as the game progresses. In early game it's at 30 percent reduced healing and in late game it's at 90 percent. Dive tanks like doomfist and winston would actually be good in a non scrimming environment as opposed to only being effective in a scrimming stack.
Doesn't seem very dead to me, when ever I play I get matches fairly quickly and I have a ton of fun. It sounds like a lot of people should just play something else if they aren't having fun.
Problem is just that they dont answer the actual communities questions like 5v5 or 6v6 and they are catering to everyone which makes no one happy. They need to get some balls and actually do stuff
Overwatch 1 players, were just the kickstart backers. Once the production development was payed for, they shut down their game and used the same game assests to try and profit with battlepass system.

Two things I was excited about this season: New skins for my mains and the new map. One doesn't release until July 30th and the new map doesn't feel very revolutionary to play on (only interesting spot is the high ground at the end points) and it's the same meta as every single other map. What's there for me to be excited about right now?
I feel this so much! I decided to take a break from OW a few months ago (thinking maybe I was just burnt out and needed a break.) Left when the Orisa mythic was released and came back at the start of this season. I'm 3 days in and have decided I need another break...3 days was enough for me. 😂

Personally overwatch is still stimulating for me, thought it can get boring after a few hours. I’m a casual player and haven’t played the game that much so part of it is just me getting the chances to learn and see more a less a new game each time. I enjoy being able to switch up the play style between support dps and tank every game, and if I get more bored I can play an arcade game, but I still enjoy it a lot. I play it because I’m not great at fps games, and I’ve already learned a lot about the games strategy and stuff so I don’t want to switch. Plus most other games feel a little more dull ironically. Since I’ve seen flats talk about (and I agree) that overwatch rarely has as many changes, and should if it wants to keep up the retention of the players. (This was on that podcast. I forget what it was called but bogur was also in the episode). It’s sad to hear a lot of people are getting bored of it. And I hope it gets better

@@Jakethaynei've been playing since ow1, even in the dark ages of 2020-2022, and i still enjoy the game a lot. however, i hate playing tank 90% of the time because it is miserable. it feels like a chore. one of the only ways ive been able to consistently have fun day in and day out is playing different modes and switching between them. i play a lot of arcade in between the comp and qp games i play. i play 3v3 and 5v5 elim, 4v4 tdm, assault gamemode, etc. it is the only way to break the monotony
I know the devs are watching this and they need to do something or have more communication about it.

You can try to do a "Town Hall Meeting" where everyone voices their opinions on what is happening and potential solutions and you as the creator and curator of this "Town Hall Meeting" could expand on everything that gets brought up and why or why not it is a good idea. Then it's not just you voicing your opinion, it wouldn't be so intimidating either, it's your community, it's the overwatch community, it's everyone involved. It would be pretty hard to ignore if everyone is having the same issues. I really hope overwatch can go back to the game I knew and loved. Great content either way

in fairness, that's literally any company. there are a few truly community-first companies but those also tend not to last very long or tend to be smaller in scope. I've said this a lot but the best decision for the people who are unhappy is to just stop engaging with the game all together. Stop playing. Stop engaging with the content. Stop bringing it up. It's the only way to make your voice heard and it's probably best for your mental health.
If enough people show apathy and the player base is actually harmed, blizzard either just takes the game out back or they do more drastic changes (like ow1 to ow2). Whinging in comment sections does little. just remove the game from your life and make blizzard earn its place back in.

Silence solves nothing, and by staying silent we're simply giving them the impression that everything is fine and that we agree with everything they do.
Companies want to make money, but when their managers are destroying the franchise, they won't be making much money out of it in the end, especially long term. As a F2P game, they rely far more on the cash shop than people actually playing the game, buying loot boxes every now and then.
I sometimes wish the game had a subscription service, like i wish most FPS titles would have.
They need to fire the current managers and hire people who are actually passionate about gaming and listening to the majority of the community, because these managers, are not listening to the actual community whatsoever. They use numbers and raw data to decide, which is just a terrible way of doing things. A mix of both is good but strictly sticking to numbers is just bad for the game and bad for us as players.

you seem to have fallen for the trap of "awareness". Lots of people have but it's a trap. Being loud does little since you're still giving blizzard what they want: a player base that will continue to keep their IP in the zeitgeist. It doesn't matter if you're loud and upset. They still win because your outrage continues to alert people that the game exists. They still win because you continue to play. If you want your voice heard, stop playing and stop engaging. Like I said, if you keep trying to beg Blizzard to listen to you but do nothing to indicate that you're not going to leave, they won't listen. Make them work for your attention.
That isn't silence and it's crazy that someone managed to trick you into thinking that constantly feeding a company what it wants, attention and players, but just being annoying about it is good consumer behavior. A responsible consumer votes with their wallet. In the live service ecosystem, your wallet includes your time and effort. Stop giving it to them if you don't like the game.

(Not sure bout that one) and a wall hacking bad soldier on the enemy team and my team got mad at me saying "maybe they just know what their doing" no no they dont they run till a corner and then directly shoots you cause he follows where you are through the wall. Not to mention my dps continued played sombra and tracer against a soldier, mercy, bastion and hog/rein (pretty sure sombra noticed they stayed with team after dieing on first flank immediately) ...ive also been told by a mauga on my team at the end that "mercy wins games", after i had to switch off mercy to do more healing and be able to defend myself cause getting dived while he ran in everytime and took no cover 😂
You can see the hero outlines through the wall without hacks you know? Just focus on how ur playing and what you’re doing wrong and you’ll improve

@@XFXGX you know, I did my research cause I thought "hey who knows maybe you can somehow", but uh ya it's only changing the colors and only certain characters are able to use abilities to see others behind walls so uh don't cheat in games man
@@bimehself ive never used cheats, I don’t even know how, not even possible on console XD. You can see the outlines if you stand close to one of the shorter walls/ barriers.

The most fun I’ve had playing the game recently is open q quick play. Not trying to win, just fucking around.
I cannot enjoy this game if I’m sober
