THE SAME THING HAPPENED IN SOUTH BRAZIL 🇧🇷 DEADLY FLOODS 61 DEAD SO FAR AND OVER 200 MISSING..
Lord almighty Have Mercy 🥺 🙏 😫
Soooooooo NOT the same thing.
@@GypsyIndigoBluOf course it isn't. It's worse.
THE LORD'S JUDGEMENT!!!!
Thanks for the tip. I'm looking into it right now. The wind is strong today!
@@kated9914 yeah the things going on elsewhere not Houston
This is one thing that happens when cities lets greedy land developers build everywhere. Unlike when it was farmland the water has no place to go.
The city doesn't "let" this happen. No one wants this.
@lesaahhlee It's made worse by concrete parking lots etc. and Houston is one of the most car-centric cities in the world.
Texas paying for it's oily sins
When you have 500,000 move to your city in 10 years- do you expect them to live under bridges?
Please notice, the footage did not show heavily urbanized terrains. Those are suburban towns, full of gardens, surrounded by wilderness.
That's not Houston. Also, you can see most of the terrain is flat and lacking bridges, so, they were not on the route of a river.
Please notice that the cause of the flooding is unusually large storms and rainfalls, that locals say they have never seen anything like that, and weather forecasts say the situation is likely to worsen at the level of several states.
Please, stop blaming the victims.
This is why I don’t live near rivers and creeks. I truly feel for all the people and animals.💕💕🇦🇺🇦🇺
I agree...... hope everyone stays safe !
GATERS......lol.
This is what happens when 75% of the population of the worlds biggest polluter doesn’t even believe in climate change….
the whole state of florida is going to look like this. Don't buy in an area that floods. Ever!
dont forget the sky is falling!
Are your boosters up to date?
No one buys flood insurance in that state & Florida. 🤦♂️🙃
Trumper States getting their Comeuppance 🤔
Why aren't you wearing a COVID19 muzzle?
INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE GONNA HIKE UP THE PRICE'S HOME OWNER'S INSURANCE YEP
Keep buying houses next to rivers 🤦♂️ keep making houses from straw or twigs , the big bad wolf is hungry .
They keep it up, insurance won't write business there anymore. Look at Florida. Most new insurance is government run because insurance companies can no longer afford the risk.
Nope cancelled
insurance doesn't cover flood damage
@@NicAddictedROK Yes they do.
This is devastating for these people - I can't even imagine. Prayers for everyone impacted now, and for those in the path of upcoming floods.

Yup and somehow magically the weather keeps getting worse in certain areas. I wonder how that happens...🤔🤷🏾♂️
u right about that
@@Nocturnal2010lol or just more people which means more development which means less terrain to soak up rain water? But yeah global warming I mean climate change or is the hole in the ozone layer? Can’t keep track :)
The same is happening in southern Brazil. 83 dead, 111 missing. Never in recent history has there been so much rain (edit: in this region).
God bless Texans. It’s not even hurricane season yet. Blessings.❤
Thank you, God bless you as well !
God has blessed with lot of water. you thinkTexas needs more?
So dramatic. Really? They built these homes on the river.
Move out of that flood zone!
@@rock-n-rollfoodie where to that won't downgrade you drastically standards of living wise you can scream "Move out of that food zone!" all you want and will look stupid as you try to potentially tell people who can't afford to move what to do
That’s not how rivers work. Did you see the stretch of that map? Look up where the river is and then look up where Humble, TX is.
The houses aren’t on the river. That water is creating from the San Jacinto River, that is overflowing. Plus the rain! San Jac River is further out!
Cybertruck can be used as boat.
Good to see animals getting rescued
NO WORRIES, AMERICANS LOVE ANIMALS MORE THAN PEOPLE
So glad people and their PETS are bring rescued. I remember seeing footage of people left behind on rooftops during Katrina because they refused to leave their pets behind. Great to see this.
My prayers to everyone in the path of this flood.

The river usually behaves, but sometimes the river wants to get out and take a look around the neighborhood😮
Insurance rates gonna skyrocket
Oh well! ❤️🔥💸
Small house, towards the top of a Hill made of Concrete! 👍
If they don't leave the state like in CA and FL
MOST homes , are UN insurable.
@@albertoserrano67 : Texas and Florida are 2 states with the most insurance companies that have left the state. Both are accident prone states .
I wonder if Joel Olsteen is going to close his church again to those in need?
Same thing happened in south of Brazil
leaders who let developers build next to lakes and rivers are horrible. no care for any aftermath or suffering. literally suckered people into housing.
That's Houston. It's also known as Bayou city.
Suckered? So nobody is responsible for choosing where they live, its up to someone else where you decide to live? Ridiculous. It may be true that land developers have no morals, but someday people have to take some personal responsibility for the choices they themselves have made. Pretending climate trouble is a hoax is one mistake I'd be willing to bet many Texans made in the last two decades, now they have to pay for that.
When I saw them build along the river, I was so appalled! We moved from that area bc we almost flooded
simplistic thinking and finger pointing. No one can control the weather.
@@BertGraefwell some people had enough sense to build on stilts at least
In south Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul area) is happening the same tragedy.. over 10 million under water.. out of control
Meanwhile Southeast Asia is in an unprecedented heatwave. Wild weather.
The weather patterns are changing so fast all over the world it is only going to get wourse as the years go by nothing anyone can do about it
Just this week flooding in Texas, China, Brazil, Africa and UAE! And your right only getting worse! Before this kind of flooding would only happen with hurricanes! Crazy!! 😮
We need to start paying the big banks carbon taxes so they can fix the weather for us from the damage we are doing to the planet!
Weather manipulation. It stormed over the same area day after day. Technically it wasn't Houston that flooded but the outskirts.
Shawn ryan podcast... antartica and raytheon !

Oh we could have done something but rich business owners and politicians don't make money off Climate Regulations and instead choose to deny Climate Change. This is the future and will get worse and worse.
My prayers goes out to the people of texas 😔🕯
This is what happens when 75% of the population of the worlds biggest polluter doesn’t even believe in climate change….
Stop saying Houston , it is in Conroe, huntsville, Livingston.
HOUSTON
Spring Branch got 3 inches today. Kingwood is in Houston city limits. Channelview is SE Houston. It's all of greater Houston.
Remember the catastrophic floods in the Houston & East Texas years ago.
April 2015, May 2016, Hurricane Harvey 2017 was 52 inches of rain in 4 days. Now 2024. In-between was severe droughts, heat records, and freeze records. It's crazy in Houston.
Stop experimenting with the weather !!!!
When man tries to play God. 😢 Texans
No mention of the fact that these homes built in a known flood plain or the corruption that allowed the builder to get the permits to build them or the non disclosure to the buyers that they were buying in a flood plain as per the USGS
"non disclosure" lol. If youre so incredibly stupid that you need someone to tell you there's potential risk buying a home built along a river then you deserve to be fleeced.
I pray for everyone and their family and friends in this state! Lord please have mercy on them!!!
If Lord had any mercy, he won't have caused so much flooding and catastrophic condiitons.
Texas You are in my prayers ❤❤❤
flood damage aint covered under insurance
True ! Normal home insurance does not cover Flood damage.
Must get “Flood insurance “ …. It costs MORE than your mortgage in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida .
Those are Flood prone states

Prayers do nothing. Nothing. You have to take precautions, and be aware of the dangers of floodplains and rivers deltas. States have to recognize the dangers that are coming, be prepared, and allocate resources. Because of global warming, and the utter collapse of sea ice, the arctic jet stream has become wild and unpredictable. Warming oceans are also changing the weather patterns, and increasing the intensity of severe weather. Being a year that is post-el nino, this is likely going to be a particularly bad year. The Caribbean is already at the temperature it normally is in June.
Same flooding been going on for 50 years (since forever) + in the same low parts of town, year after year after year. Yawn.
Yup. I have been watching news stories like this for 7 decades, and it gets old. Today's young adults think its something new.
Praying for the people 😢🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sounds like a bootstraps situation.
I feel so bad for everyone. We had our basement flooded years ago and lost many things but it wasn’t our main floor. So many up in my area of Iowa were hit by tornadoes last week. It is just one misery after another.
Perspective would include the fact there was a PGA golf tournament in the woodlands on the same day in the same city.
Mold about to be everywhere in these houses
So sorry.
Maybe they should pray it away or something

These News people straight up caught in lie Houston is not affected only NE portion is more like 1 million people
What is Governor Abbott doing to help the people of Texas? Will he beg the rest of the country to pick up the tab for his disaster? You bet.
Then change geographic places with Texas and you take the entire responsibility of all the people coming over the boarder then dispersing all over the USA. Your comment is odd, they’re coming to the USA not Texas. Just strange.

Mr Abbott needs to not worry about building walls and worry about building better drainage. Lucky he got the $14 billion he didn't want want to take for infrastructure last year. Start spending that money Abbott.
He's spending it already, just not on Texas. Right straight to his pocket 😡

The bible predicts of this
As in the days of Noah…Matthew 24:37
flooding is the new normal ... insurance is futile ...
The city, along with the concrete sprawl and crappy drainage still shouldn't be getting hit so frequently with these big floods. This one was only two feet. That's almost half the typical yearly total-when it doesn't have a tropical storm or hurricane. Some of the developers should pay to reimburse imo. Overall people need to stop building in swamps, deserts and dry forests to be one with nature. Nature always chews them up sooner or later
