lots of times we asked you to go more in depth into stuff and you did even when the users who asked weren't members here or on locals and that's very nice of you .. ignore people who just wanna be salty for no reason .. great job my dude .. this is my first time in my life setting up a virtual server and actually using it .. very very helpful info thank you sir.
@son of a tech once again your selflessness continues to impress me sir. I hope everyone appreciates what you do for your viewers and the community as a whole. This type of content is needed to promote true decentralization and you do it with the right intentions. I know it's going to be tuff watching your potential gain dwindle with all the miners who jump on to Kaspa but it is the right move for the space and the channel in the long run.
SoaT, you were the first youtuber who helped me start mining and configure stuff and get in the crypto space 2 years ago, I will be forever grateful for that!
I'm new here today and chose to subscribe because of the comments below -- i havent even made it 2 minutes in . . your followers speak volumes. Glad to be here :-)
Oldie, but I just did this using KDX+kstratum at home and pointed gminer locally, plus my hive miners at work at the public IP. Works like a charm. Guess I'll see if I get a block with 2.1GH/s overnight.
57 ths on the network this morning. God I wish I had mined the coin exclusively after you hinted at it months ago. I got a small bag... wish it was a massive bag. lol
Your suggested kaspa stratum didn't work for me. My miners had no shares at all. I managed to get kaspa-stratum-bridge working on my Ubuntu Server 20.04 machine by manually installing Golang 1.20 first before the bridge. Thanks for the guide though. You made it so easy!
Dear Blindrun (M), top vid sir. I have gone down the hiveos route at the mo. However i shall be giving the vultr route a shot soon. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this video and i am sure post merge the number of views will explode just like the number of miners who will try to fine the next best profitable coin. I look forward to your ergo vid and i am in no doubt that the quality of info and level will be on par with this vid. Thank you again and i hope you are keeping cool.
Great video. Wouldn't it have been easier to just mine directly to the daemon / KDX? If cards are on local network run a VM with the KDX running and off you go. Of course its nicer to have a pool but will be an additional cost.
I am looking to set up my kaspa node this weekend. Do I need to create a waller like you did if I already have one with zelcore, or can I use that address I have already?
Great guide. Awesome work, man! I always check your videos. I have a question: How to do check the hashrate on your solo node that you setup? Thanks in advance!
Great video! Thanks for the info and looking forward to trying to replicate this for myself. I cannot imagine how long it took you to record all that and edit the audio.
Have you noticed any memory leaks on your node? I noticed my memory utilization keeps going up, until the node fails. I restart everything and then it starts going up again. I am running Ubuntu on Proxmox, so I am wondering if this is the reason, but I thought I would ask your opinion. Not an expert at all on this. Thanks for the tutorials.
Can someone please help?... so i was able to get my rig to mine Kaspa. The video was excellent and very detailed!! My only question and concern is that how do I access the wallet?
Iceland Calling, I wanted to setup a Kaspa Node to support the community and to solo mine. I am setting up on my own hardware and running Ubuntu server 20.04 LTS and ran into the error "cgo: C compiler "gcc" not found: exec: "gcc": executable file not found in $PATH" sudo apt-get install linux-kernel-headers sudo apt-get install build-essential Resolved the issue
Can I install the node on my local dedicated pc or laptop with ubuntu instead? It'll be more expensive but at least don't need to pay monthly cloud server fee.
Could you please help me figure this out, I appreciate the video here I’m trying to figure out if I’m running my node on windows and want to connect my rig to my node can’t I just use my local ip and open port for it to connect ?
Stupid question but if I already have a kasp mining address do I really need to go through the process of setting up a node address? As long as I solo mine to the node and use my existing address then it should be fine right?
Just wondering about a wallet. Im mining to a pool, and want to transfer from the pool to my wallet. However, when I tried to setup the core desktop wallet in Windows, it's asking a question I don't understand. Under "Configuration", it's asking about Kaspa Node, GPU and CPU mining , self contained and archival templates. Not sure what I should be selecting if im just looking for a wallet for KSP. Im currently mining to 2miners and they offer both pool and solo options.
Thanks a ton for this tutorial! Not really sure about how you came up with all the port numbers, and also do you have to pay a fee to a service if you have all the hardware to build your own node?
you can run it on the same hive system as your rig if you want , thats what i am doing, dont need to worry about opening ports, as you will be the only one mining to ur own node, and seeing as there is no 'reward' to host a node, i see no reason to make it public at the moment? I might be missing something, either way, i am mining to local node on the same machine so 0 ping basically
what if I already have a wallet? I asume that I just leave the same address in hiveos without having to go through the pain of creating a wallet. will the node not send payments e if its not created in the node? ill try myself & update this comment if I get paid lol BTW this is beautifully explained! thanks for all you do!
dual mining on lolminer fine at least from what I see. Lost like 20mh on eth and 2.2gh on kaspa. It does take a second for it kinda get started but hasn’t crashed once.
@@leonardomohammed5318 my main rig is all nvidia my small rig is amd. I had the most trouble on amd rig because the ETH clocks / Rmode settings don’t work cross algos. But it’s does work just gotta mess with it to find right settings for amd
hmmm... been over 4 hours and Im still seeing "virtualDaaScore": "1312860" Errors at NUL, node screen idle after pruning UTXO, that doesn't seem right, any suggestions?
lmao, looks like a disconnect and reconnect with a fresh putty session worked. Thought that might be the case since everything seemed like it was working.
ok yay! got it rolling, ty SOAT. Just an FYI for anyone else, the miner takes a looong time to start mining. It was a good 5min before BZminer went to mining on my cards. I have two rigs (low hash rx470s) and a high hash (RX 5700s) that I tested, and both took so long I started looking at my port config in both the server and fw... just chill, it will pop.
well, that was fun ;) Unfortunately, I only have AMD cards in my farm and this coin/algorithm doesn't play well with AMD. Getting ~130 m/h on the 5700s and low 100s m/h on the 470s at recommended OC. It kinda sucks tbh ;( But thems the breaks. Still, was cool setting up and running thru it.
i must be quite lucky on my rig, very stable dual mining 6600xt 32MH_ETH/168MH_KASPA @70W (reported) with lolminer, mining to own node locally on the same rig is working flawlessly thus far for me.
@SonofaTech i have made the intallation of the node, have configured the new wallet on hive, i have find 2 blocks but no coins have been received. Have you any idea what could be the problem? Thankx
I confirmed via GetBlockDagInfo's virtualDaaScore that I'm up to date but I still get this error message from Hive "Node is not yet synced, skipping block and pausing Kaspa miner..." Any ideas where I may have gone wrong? I'm trying to run this on Windows
Figured it out, was a red herring error message. It was because I tried to put the worker name after my wallet address with the kaspa:wallet.WorkName syntax. Works if I delete my "worker name" that seems to be invalid syntax
Today I started having this error :"[CRT] PROT: Exiting: Fatal error in goroutine `flow-HandleRelayInvs 39`: diffFrom: outpoint (800ecf77176843bb5d60e2ff1ea1771ab61cab3d9f53fc74c576669ee6182b32: 1) both in this.toRemove and in other.toAdd" Any idea? re-installed but didnt help

I was up until midnight trying to mine to my node and I wake up to this. Thanks buddy!
I just finished setting up my node yesterday. I've solved 4 block solo mining to my node since then. Thanks!!!!!!!

Do you have to run a node in order to solo mine? Or are you just setting this up so you dont have to pay fees
@SonofaTech if the node is on a pc within the intra network, its also necessary to open the ports 16110 and 16111?? Thankx
My fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04 required this to compile kaspad stratum:
sudo apt install build-essential -y
sudo apt install libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler -y
I had issues compiling the kaspad stratum as well and your tip worked. Thank you!
@Sonofatech is this video still good? Thanks

how to view as in windows bridge which miners connected to node ? and how to change diff for nicehash

Any reason why port 16110 has to be opened? I can only find official documentation for port 16111.
My God soat 👐 super in depth bro thank you
Thank you very much! Great tutorial easy to follow.
When reinstalling, how do I reinstall my wallet using the seed phrase?
kaspa solo mining profitable or pool mining profitable sir telme witch is profitable because i have 3070ti 18 gpu rig and profit is not good
