Stage Door Academy presents: Six: The Musical

Stage Door Academy is committed to expanding the boundaries of our usual teen productions, and SIX: The Musical did just that-because isn't your typical history lesson!
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. SIX takes us on a journey into the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII and gives voices to each of their unheard side of the story. Each Queen takes the stage to share their individual narrative and in doing so, they reclaim their identities and re-draft her-story.
By approaching this unique musical with a more mature subject matter, we are meeting the needs of our young actors while challenging their talents and skills. SIX not only celebrates the talent and individuality of the Queens on stage by exploring what it means to be the master of your own destiny but at its heart, the musical challenges all of us to look deeper into ourselves and to live life with more integrity, accountability, and acceptance of those around us…as well as ourselves.
