A slave to sin is not one who has sinned, but one who continues to sin.

Very right and correct teaching of this passage. Those that reject faith in Christ alone for salvation to heaven are doing the willful sin. Christ was the full payment for all sin. Believe in what He did, because He was the perfect son of God our very creator. He arose from the grave and ascended to heaven and is interceding for us all that will believe in Him.

Listen to your God given conscience “with knowledge”
Don’t look in the Holy Scriptures, to look for reasons to sin.
Jesus says you must be BORN AGAIN to enter heaven.
Surrender your will to Gods will, and obey His words
    Day by Day
    Effort not perfection
If you slip up, Gods children have His grace.
Are you saved? Or Self deceived?

Thank you, this helps. Why must people continue to put me under law? If I don't tithe, obey Moses law, Sabbath, I will lose salvation. I don't believe I am under law but I am under Grace. I love Jesus Christ Yeshua Hamashiac. I am about fed up with the body of Christ being so confused. Something has to be done.

Submit ourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from us.

The idea that willfully sinning in general is what hebrews 10:26 is talking about is completely inconsistent with other verses.
    1 John 2:1
And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father: Jesus Christ the Righteous
You might say “well that’s just talking about “accidental sin”. No.
    1 James 13-14
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.
Sin comes from evil desire not an “accident”
You might disagree when people say Jesus paid for past present and future sins. You’re wrong again.
    1 Corinthians 6:20
you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
I don’t think this would be said unless Jesus paid the price for future sins. These verses specifically mention sexual sin. It cost Jesus when we sin to pay the price.
Maybe your stuck in the Old Testament I suggest reading Ezekiel 33
    Ezekiel 33:11-12
Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
“Therefore, son of man, say to your people, ‘If someone who is righteous disobeys, that person’s former righteousness will count for nothing. And if someone who is wicked repents, that person’s former wickedness will not bring condemnation.
I suggest reading the whole chapter but I’ve taken it to mean get right with God while you’re still alive. Turn and live.
    Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Again it also says in the same verses “God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral” implying current wickedness. Turn and live.
Remember that we can also face judgement in this life.
    1 Corinthians 11:32
Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.
    John 6:37
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
If you are fearful go to Christ.
    John 3:16
But “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will. enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
I’m not about to say this doesn’t mean living a life of sanctification because it does.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
You might see this and think if you’ve sexually sinned it’s over for you. We have verses for this too.
    1 Corinthians 5 1
It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.
Paul is disgusted and goes on to say
So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
Now you might assume this means put him to death for some sort of “temporary hell” but Satan is not in charge of hell. He is going there. Satan is the god of this world. He is to be ex communicated from the church and “handed over to Satan”.
He is likely mentioned again in 2 Corinthians 2
The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. 7 Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8 I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9 Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven-if there was anything to forgive-I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
    Galatians 6:1
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
Turn! Confess your sins. If you are afraid go to Christ. God has made you many promises.

This verse is talking to JEws but anybody, who goes back under the law ( of sin) after they have trusted in Jesus, and made that decision willfully, that there is no more forgiveness for them. This is not tlaking about everyday faults or sins that we do. Yes we still sin and do wrong, but we are NOT UNDER LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. Jesus died to remove us from that and judgment. Some Jews were rejecting JEsus after they have believed on him for fear of losing their loved ones or inheritances, land, etc. and he was warning them not to do that! Look at the whole context of the Bible. WE can't "sin" if we aren't under the law. Take down the Stop signs that tell you to do 25 mph and can you be a speeder? Yes, but you can't be judged for it coz you are not under the law!

    • @The-GreenHornet
      @The-GreenHornet 2 года назад +3

What is being taught here is that Jesus' complete finished payment is not only enough to forgive all sins, but it is now under the New Testament (covenant) the Only way to be completely forgiven.
Trying to be justified by obeying the law of God, can't justify a person, nor mixing the law WITH grace; which soooooooo many professing Christians think they still have to DO in order to really be saved. This is known as Lordship salvation; which garbles the gospel of grace alone through faith alone in trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Lordship salvation adds to the gospel of grace "works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation."
The Old Covenant is DONE AWAY WITH!
STOP! trying to justify yourself by your dead works of obedience to the Law of God.

@@sebastienroux1790 We are freed from the law, but that doesn't mean that we should disobey God. It means we are under free grace and we are called to walk as Jesus walked on the earth and to be holy by His righteousness and not our own. Why not live for Jesus? To live is Christ and to die is gain! If you are saved of course to die is gain. If you aren't saved and you die, well, existence is pain.

    • @sebastienroux1790
      @sebastienroux1790 5 лет назад

@@jesusislord4656 I don't think we have much of a choice when it comes to walking like Jesus did. We fall short of the godly standard quite often, even when we don't realize it. Even if we kicked all the bad habits we are unable to change our hearts to the extent that we won't be angry for the wrong reasons. And that we won't look to lust (since the sin starts not when we sleep around, not when we lust in the mind but when we look to lust [before lusting]). I've tried to walk like Jesus did and I didn't attempt it alone. I prayed often even after every sin I noticed. I cried often because I was unable to do what Jesus asked of us.
And people love to tell me I did it alone, am I then truly forsaken since my prayers were not answered? Should I just end it all? Or is it like Paul said, we do what we don't want to do and vice versa. Regardless of the answer I don't intend to roll over and die. Forsaken or not, I'm gonna keep fighting to stay alive even if survival is all I can achieve.

@@sebastienroux1790 I'm kind of in the same boat. I struggled with porn for a year. But you know what's a good sign? We still care. We still want Jesus. We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We are FREE and we're REDEEMED. The Lord delights in those who fear Him. The devil will do anything he can to stop us from learning and growing in Christ. My question is, would God really save us if He new we would "fall away"? I know it can be confusing, but remember that the devil is the accuser. Jesus is our advocate if we sin. The devil will tell us there is no hope left.
