Nice job and thanks for sharing. Everything is really well done. Pictures are wonderful. Can’t get mad about the light…part of the process is accepting what is there in that one moment, good, bad, or once in a while great.
Jehs is so beautiful and her picture is lovely! I'm always impressed with the end results and the work that goes into it. That last picture had its own special glow- like it was made of bronze. Love it!
Scary hiking and beautiful scenery. We were in Yosemite in Sept. I wish we would have driven up Glacier Point. I guess ill have to fly back out in a couple yrs from the esst coast
Honestly I'd be happy with that Half Dome shot, even though it's not the standard sunset it still looks good. I'm planning a trip to Yosimite in September ish so I'll definitely have to give that trail a shot.
Damn Ethan, thanks man! That really means a lot. I HIGHLY recommend going up there dude. Honestly if you can, just spend the night up there. I wish we did!
This was awesome. With all the Yosemite vides it was very important to see this given the closure of Glacier Point via car. Please let us know when you did it - i.e. which month; as Glacier is closed and it's nice to be able to see this iconic view! AND you have Like and Subscribe all the way!
Appreciate all of that:)🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I figured it might be helpful sharing some more insight to hiking to Glacier Point with the road closed. This was at the end of April last year (2022). I do not know when the road will be opened up again from the construction they were having, or when they open it due to seasonal usage. Hope this all helped! Let me know if you got anymore questions:)
One of my favourite hikes, done most recently 6/16/22. Mercilessly hot, but just added to the adventure. Glacier Point was eerily silent and only hardened hikers around (no other way to get there). I got back to the Valley along the Panorama and John Muir Trails and would recommend this to those with strong legs and out for the day. Incredibly beautiful throughout, with impressions of Half Dome changing continually. The descent to Nevada Falls at about the 9 mile point perhaps a personal highlight.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing :) I’m planning on visiting Yosemite and glacier road will be closed as well. How feasible would it be to hike to sentinel dome & Taft point after hiking to glacier point?
Thank you! I think it’s totally feasible. After you get up to glacier point I believe you just walk back on the road until you get to the Pohono Trailhead to access both of those. But with Glacier a point Rd closed this may require a backpacking permit, which depending on when you go, might just be a self issuing permit at the visitor center
This was filmed waaaaay back in May! Not sure if it’s snowed there or not, but if it did then definitely use caution the closer you get to the top! Hiking poles or crampons might really help
Appreciate that dude! The hike is doable for any level of hikers, and I would consider it moderate. Lots of switch backs, and extremely well maintained. Bring lots of water, and calorie dense foods like cliff bars to give you some energy when needed:)
We climbed this in the beginning of May, so you should be good! Unfortunately I think there’s some major fires going on in the area right now though:( I hope they subside fast!
Sweet video!! Planning on doing this hike with my son next week. I know the store/gift shop up there will be closed, but I was curious if there is anywhere to refill our water bottles, or should we plan on packing extra? Thanks!!
Iiiiiii honestly didn’t go over to the store/gift shop area so I’m not sure! They might have outside water filling access? But I feel like if they did the search and rescue group on the ground would have mentioned it to us, as they told us to bring plenty of water. Just to be safe, I’d definitely bring extra!
How was the return hike in the dark? My wife and I are planning on doing this hike in a couple of weeks and are curious to how treacherous it was for you.
Honestly it wasn’t bad. Didn’t get super dark till the last 45 minutes of the hike down, and it took us probably 2.5 hours total on the return hike. The worst part coming down are the switch backs cuz they just feel like they never end lol. But it’s not bad, and I definitely recommend doing it!
Planning to go there next year around July. Solo traveller. Is there a tourist guide when you climb? or you can do it DIY? Is it ok for beginners? I climbed 3 mountains already.
Three mountains! Nah you should crush this no problem then. No guides needed, just an out and back trail:) Lol honestly the road might be open by then so you might be able to just take a very long drive up to the top! But the hike is super worth doing imo.
This trail looks beautiful! We are planning on visiting next month. On the website it mentions Glacier Point Rd is closed. Where is the starting point of this trail? Is it still accessible with the closures. Thank you!
Yeah the road will be closed all year of 2022 due to road construction:( But that’s why this trail exists! You can access the 4 Mile Trail trailhead from the valley:) It’s even got it’s own little parking lot for it right across from the start of the trail. Get there early though! Because it might fill up after the morning. As far as the location of the trailhead, it should be one of your first trailheads on the right after entering the park. I would stop by the visitor center first and they can answer any other questions you might have about it:)

Appreciate it Paul, thanks!
Amazing video. Not only did you capture incredible scenes, you have a superb charisma and warmth that comes through your narration.

Super sick views all the way around. We actually met some people who did the entire length from the John Muir trail. Toooooo hardcore for me!
@@eliastcobb5506 Wow, hats off to them!
Awesome video. Was afraid I was not going to be able to reach glacier point this year .
Thanks dude! Totally achievable thanks to this trail. Just takes a bit longer lol😅
I've been wanting to do that hike for decades, the only opportunity I had to make it out and everything was closed for the cough.
Dang! Well once spring hits it should be fully open to try and hit it!

wow that looks like one awesome hike! great video! how come there was snow at the top? when was this taken?
It’s a super rad hike!

What camera you use? I just saw the Sony logo.
I use the Sony a7iii! I think pretty much all these photos were taken with the G Master f2.8 70-200mm lens as well.
Love Sony!
Did you see Yosemite Sam?
NO
