I agree, and I do believe that being a bad partner doesn't make you a bad person, someone can enter your life at a bad time and it can result in you accidentally hurting them badly, it happens, most people at some point will be a toxic partner. What changes the bad people from the people who made bad mistakes is how you handle it after.

This is what I think I'm gonna do, for anyone out there who loves him and is conflicted.
I'm going to give him a chance.
I will be very vocal in my disapproval for his actions and his abuse towards the people he should have loved the most, but I acknowledge that his mental health is a sh*tshow. While it is no excuse for his actions, it is a display of the great ability of change.
I plead for him to learn from his mistakes firstly, then take steps to never repeat it. If he does that, then I will stay forever. If this situation repeats itself, if he doesn't learn and get better, then I will go. If the band does not drop him after proving he does not care for the stability and survivability for it members, after proving his moral compass is so screwed, then I won't listen. Simple as that.
Disapprove his past, move towards change. Don't hang it over him, but make sure he's aware that if he doesn't correct the action, he will lose those most loyal to him.
