Can I just say that I love listening to Felix' voice? I'm part German, and I studied German in high school while living with my German grandmother and great-grandmother, and his accent reminds me so much of my great-grandmother, my German German teacher, and my Austrian trigonometry teacher in high school. It's comforting!

The best bushcraft knife for the skilled bushcrafter, that know how to use a knife and what a knife is made for. A knife for life, not only for bushcraft. Mine exceed my expectations by a wide margin in all tasks. Thanks felix, i waited for this knife my all life. After 30 years, my search for the perfect knife is end. I was wrong about the scandi grind, this amazing flat cuts and slices better, cook better, and this represents most tasks the modern adventurer realize in the field, nor only wood carving. And the Venture carves wood very well. Congratulations.

Congratulations, on your participation, Felix! This is, I must say, a triumph. Not that it is a perfect bushcraft knife, because no one blade could be, and no two people would agree on it. But this strikes me as a perfect marriage of Victorinox multifunctionality and a bushcraft oriented fixed blade knife.
I've got to get one for myself! GOT TO!!

Well said. This is definitely something I am not passing up. Already ordered the upgraded case and bought the 4.0 pro Kit as well that goes with it. Not much id would change on this knife at all. I wonder if we can get different types of extensions for the drill hex end part of the knife in the 4.0 Pro kit.

Congratulations Felix! I'm thrilled to see a knife designed by an oudoorsman and innovator such as yourself (yes, and kudos to the design team too). I just got mine yesterday and can easily say that this knife is a true winner. I literally own hundreds of knives and I rank this as one of the best in my collection of outdoor fixed blades. I love the thinness of the spine and I think the angle of the edge bevel is excellent. Right out of the box I was able to carve large chunks of wood off the tip of a hardwood dowel so I know this knife will carve. The flat grind and thin stock make it the perfect camp knife for slicing food, cutting rope, pointing tent pegs, and making feather sticks, etc. Excellent choice of steel as well. As a former contributing editor for a knife magazine, I lobbied for years for thin bladed knives tor the outdoors but it was like pulling teeth. To get what I wanted, I usually had to go custom. You and Victorinox have succeeded in creating a knife that out-Kepharts most of the Kephart knives I own and have seen. Excellent! Definitely a competitor to the Mora Garberg and easily a better knife for the camp kitchen than the Garberg. All the little sheath extras are neat but not my cup of tea so someday I would love to see Victorinox make a quality leather pouch sheath. My only "complaint" if you will. This knife stands on it's own merits. In the meantime, I already have a nice leather sheath for mine and this will now be the number one fixed blade knife I carry, whether hiking, camping, or practicing bushcraft. Thanks to you and Victorinox and I look forward to future episodes you post utilizing this knife in the woods.

I subscribe to Victorinox emails. Carrying the 'Tinker' for a few years now has proven the diversity, ingenuity, and quality of this inexpensive utility knife. I bought my grandson a fifty-two functions Victorinox a few years ago, but age-wise, he's not ready to carry/ utilize such a knife. Today, a Victorinox email introduced me to the Venture series. A new knife sharpener for Victorinox pocketknives was introduced awhile back and I ordered two - me and one for my grandson. In this AWESOME video, I'm left with the impression that all Venture series knives are not compatible with, basically, a Kitchen knife sharpener. Is the cutting edge sharpened at 32 degrees and to be maintained in this angle? Impressive Price point - Wow!

Just a heads up , "Knocked it out of the park" is a baseball (sport) term from the US. It's hitting the baseball not just over a wall but out of the entire stadium(park). I'm not sure if there is a parallel in football/soccer. Maybe kicking the ball so hard it not only scores a goal but takes the net with it 🤷
I personally like the grind, the steel and the drill.

Wow, I really like this design. It's so well thought out and versatile, and the price is relatively reasonable compared to what else is on the market. Good material choices, too. I am a very great advocate of not using exotic powder metallurgy steels with extremely high edge retention for field use, because they are almost impossible to sharpen with field-expedient tools, and a knife is only as good as it is sharp. I would take a 420HC or similar stainless knife into the backcountry any day over Magnacut or whatever the darling of the moment expensive steel of the "enthusiast" community happens to be. Toughness and ease of sharpening are far more valuable in adverse conditions than edge retention. Although I don't really need a new knife (of course), I will be ordering the Venture Pro with the tool kit.

Less belly than the mora Kansbol (the belly is the only critique I got for it) and the bowdrill option is cool. Don't like the American made knives that come with it. Too chunky. I received mine few days ago and have been putting it through its paces... Excellent knife! It definitely does not look intimidating, but the blade can easily be stropped to a razor sharpness. After doing about 15 minutes total of batonning and other wood processing, I was pleasantly surprised that the edge is still sharp. Less than 10 swipes on a strop and it was back to razor sharpness. The fact that it's so light is a positive characteristic in my mind. My Benchmade Bushcrafter is built for torture but the blade is not easy to sharpen (rarely needs it, though!) and the weight makes it not ideal to carry at least for me. I am now carrying my Venture everyday to work and using it to glide through tropical fruits, Spam, steak...whatever! It's so lightweight, I don't notice it in my backpack nor on my waist. Spine of the blade is perfect for a ferro rod and the front jimping definitely adds to its usefulness. Plastic sheath fits good but there is a rattle. I see this as a design ADVANTAGE in situations where sand/dirt gets in, in which case there is ample blade clearance so no obstruction/scratching. Thank you Felix. Honestly, if not for your role in this, I probably would not have pulled the trigger and bought one. I am VERY glad I did. This is a keeper. I may now ebay my Bushcrafter to recoup...

Nice one Felix! What a great collaboration and your explanation of what the knife can and can't do is very intelligent. Too many knives out there based on ridiculous Rambo-type delusions.

felix...it is not hardly mentioned anywhere. But while wittling yesterday i used the balpen from the pro kit. I really appreciate how well it performs on fresh wood. Much better then a pencil did.
I should have used it much earlier.
A bit late maybe, but good choice Felix ..tnx my friend

Felix well thought out design especially important the point of knife is level with middle of handle I not sure I can afford one myself as I'm not financially well off but I know from experience that swiss army knife I own and legal carry has nothing to prove I know it will do any jobs you needs I made my own scraper from old saw blades to carve spoons I also made from deer antler a burnish tool to flatten wood grain Down I altered my swiss army knife legal carry especially for carving I made it much better carver 🍻👍🐾🦊🇨🇭

That is by far the best looking knife I've seen in many years. It seems to do everything extremely well. Unfortunately for me, I won't be buying one. I'm sixty-nine and was still very active in bushcraft and have a friend who does my videos under his name. But I lost my lower right leg just three months ago, and have no idea when I'll be able to get back into the woods. Our income has been slashed be seventy-five percent and we can just barely make ends meet right now.
But that is a FANTASTIC looking knife, and when I get back oon my feet, and IF I can get back to making more money and get back in the woods, I will buy one. Well, I WILL get back into the woods, even if I can't go back to work.
Anyway, I wish you thye best success possible with that knife. It is a brilliant creation.

YYYEEE€ESSSSS... THIS is definitly the best knife ever... Perfect sice, perfect length, perfect width... with all parts, sides, holes, etc. made for all the purposes they can be made for. Even the shith had 2 uses... 🤔...Only that I would change the solid hand grip for a 2 peace joined by screws, and use the inside for storing other small Viktorinox accessories, and others like fishing hooks, sewing kit, and such... 👍...Over all it's a great knife, didn't speech less from Viktorinox...👍

    Lieber Felix.
Du sprühst geradezu vor Begeisterung. Es freut mich, dass so viele Ideen von Dir in die Entwicklung eingeflossen sind. Also Ideen aus der Praxis für die Praxis.
Jepp, Survical is vital, but Bushcraft rules..
