  • This dive took place in June of this year, just prior to our second annual cleanup of Mattson Lower Harbor in Marquette. Covid-19 and many other things have gotten in the way of my uploading videos for a while there, so I'm trying to catch up by uploading content from earlier this year, oldest to newest in an effort to keep things neat and organized.
    I have a video coming up that shows what we collected during our second annual cleanup in July, and already we're planning our third annual cleanup by doing fundraisers and more. Covid didn't stop close to a hundred volunteers from coming out to help this summer, and we collected lots of trash from the harbor. Already it's looking so much better but I'll leave that for another video.

    Don, Shannon here! I miss diving that location...I found my first bike there years ago:) I have - someplace - a jar with my finds from here and the Cove. Gave the bike away...wouldn't fit into the jar.

    • @DonFassbender
      @DonFassbender  3 года назад

      Shannon you wouldn't recognize the harbor today. I first organized a huge cleanup in 2019, much bigger than we used to do and removed a bunch of tires and other debris. This year's cleanup brought the total up to 8 tons! Each year we filled a 30 yard dump. Check out my video from last years cleanup and you'll get the idea.
      I didn't upload this years' cleanup video yet as I've been busy moving and all, but I will. Stay tuned bud. Good hearing from you again 👍

    • @DonFassbender
      @DonFassbender  3 года назад +3

      They've been there for year. They used to line the docks with them to act as bumpers for boats. The waves, ice and careless captains wear them down over time and the lines snap and down they go. Out if sight...
