Thanks Rich, those do look great for back packing. I make the egg carton ones for our fireplace with reject candles and dryer lint. They work well too. Any chance you and Becky will be at the Oregon Alliance Rally in a couple of weeks?
When walmart has its torch oil on clearance in the fall, we grab a bunch, and i use that now instead of lighter fluid. It doesn't seperate from the wax, and it seems to burn just as good. We do both the pads and shredded paper inside toilet rolls, and the rolls of course burn longer.

Thanks! I'll have to try the torch oil. I've tried the toilet paper rolls, and they do work quite well.
