Sorry, sacrifice is a word my husband and I learned early. In 1990, I was in the military, I made a whooping $11,000, around $9,000 after taxes. My husband made 13,000, $11,000 after taxes. When we started adding children to the mix, there were times that we had to be very creative with bills and food. We put the children first, made sure they had clothes and toys that could be passed to the younger children. Always made sure they never felt the stress of the struggle. Now they are grown, they are millennials and don’t take anything for granted. They are all working, two are in the military and they are all married. No fancy weddings, no fancy cars, not the latest phones or gadgets. They still enjoy camping, board games and simple pleasures. So please, I know the struggle is real, I know it doesn’t seem fair but they have to learn to sacrifice and cut out the nonessential baggage.

Someone didn’t get the point of the video 😅
Don’t get me wrong living a simple life and sacrifice aren’t inherently bad things but that’s not gonna save people nowadays.
I appreciate this perspective. This would be a great topic for another video.
