      Hopefully you’re not still dealing with this but if your dog is shaking and standing still or even sitting down this means your dog has “shut down” I suggest working on counter conditioning and positive reinforcement which could look like giving your dog high value treats (chicken,cheese or smelly dog treats) the moment they walk out the door to the whole duration of the walk this will teach ur dog that walking isn’t so scary as they get rewarded during the activity

      it's a very skill precise technique which comes from a huge amount of practice. using just the right pressure through the lead at the right time. it's tiny details that come from practice, e.g. at 1:37 cesar corrects her twice because her mistakes would've lead to pulling or stopping. very small easy to make errors.

      Live in the moment. Don't focus on the past of what might have happened or not happened. The dog has already gotten past that trauma or abuse. It's the human owner who is the one that doesn't left the dog move ahead or past it. Learn to let go like dogs do. Erase the past. Brand New day.

      See if this helps. Try to calm yourself down before you take the dog out for a walk. Keep the leash loose and make sure you stay calm and not force the dog by tightening the leash and pulling forcefully in any direction. If the dog tries to pull you because it's anxious and wants to get away or hide somewhere, stop till the dog calms down and stops pulling. Again, don't raise your voice or loose your cool as this will make the dog more anxious. Initially, try to avoid other dogs and people on your walk, so head out when this can be done. Take it slow at first. I had a 3 year old Lab in the same condition and took her to a massive parking lot late at night where there were no people. I hope this helps. Would also suggest watching more Cesar videos. He talks about a lot of simple things that we ignore and I can't explain it better than him. Basically, the dog will respond to you best when you are in a 'calm energy' state. Best of luck.

    he let the dog bite him and then... it was cured?

    • @luna00musen
      @luna00musen 5 лет назад +19

      The bite was a self defense because the dog wasn’t comfy and he didn’t know what was expected of him. So by letting him bite, he gets his frustration released and because Cesar was calm, didn’t react to it and then waited for him to get ready he found out, that there is no threat and that the bite wasn’t necessary. he didn’t get anywhere with the bite, there was no reaction to it, so the dog has to find another way to figure this out, so the dog surrenders ( but not in a negative way, he takes a step back and is now open to suggestions).Next step is Cesar confidently leading him in the direction he wants, putting a little pressure on the leash wich makes the dog follow. After that, the dog is calm, and following because Cesar basically said “trust me, follow me, then you have nothing to worry about and everything will be great” in dog.
