I've replied to these a few times, but to finally give an answer to the speculation: hi. Former INOT dev (mainly just localisation, creative consult and music mod) here. INOT died because everybody just moved on. The "dev team" was never anything as serious as say your kaiserreichs or TNOs. It was mostly 3 people (one of whom was the lovely Lofn who now works on Pax Britannica, being mainly responsible for the German tree), with one leaving rather soon into the mod's life. After this, it was a struggle to find people who were really engaged with the project while also respecting the main dev's vision. A lot of people came and went (me honestly included), and that let to slow updates with low output. As everybody who stuck around was a uni student, we ended up getting very busy. This, with the added problem of low morale due to low output, and some other personal issues, led to the already fragile dev team stepping away from what we were doing with nobody really being able to pick up from there until redux came out. We basically left HOI4 modding altogether and some of them don't even play at all due to lack of time. If the redux devs are reading this: have fun with INOT! I hope you can breathe some new life into it.

3:20 frances perkins is actually a pretty significant and interesting but unknown piece of american history. she was longtime friends with FDR, she was the first woman to serve in the presidential cabinet and was the united states secretary of labor for just over 12 years, which is still the longest anyone has served in that position.

Maybe without the Russian Civil War the Entente focused their military aid on aiding the Qing instead of sending it to White Russia like they did in our time line
The Manchu Restoration was an attempt to restore the Qing to power in 1917, this mod seems to explore the alternative history of that revolution succeeding, at least in part, perhaps due to Russian influence.

My amateur guess with the random states being given to the wrong country glitch, is that the original mod and the Redux have different province ids for those states. So perhaps the provinces around Riga were originally part of France (in the original mod/vanilla), but were then repurposed to expand the number of states in Russia (in the Redux). Unfortunately, the decisions files haven't been updated (if this is the case), so the decisions still think they're part of France.

Always weird how these mods rarely give Greater Poland back to Poland? Like, you give Upper Silesia back, that's cool, but not the literal birthplace of the nation? Just a bit strange to me that this often seems to happen somehow. I feel like Poznań and Greater Poland would always be pursued no matter who was ruling Poland because of that, and its majority Polish population. Even vanilla HoI4 wants you to give it to the Germans in some focus paths, whereas I feel like it's vastly different than giving up Danzig and it's much more important symbolically to keep Greater Poland. Just random rant because it bothers me. Don't mind me lol

The thing with Bavaria is that it's being ruled by the CSU a off branch of the CDU, they are very populistic, are against social security and against immigrants. Also the leader of the CSU is such a cringe lord, for example crying about "the greens wanting to make eating meat illegal" spoiler: they don't. Or he's saying he doesn't want any drugs in Bavaria while chugging a beer. There's much much more but I think that's enough to get the gist of it
Generally if a mod feels easier, that's bc AI still can't really make proper divisions, so most likely they start (and stick with) shitty ones in the mod
