    Date 2 and Mitsuha's Theme are both beautiful tracks from the Kimi no Na wa soundtrack, and they are very similar. In this track I've merged the high notes from Date 2 (as well as the ending bars), and also included the extra parts from Mitsuha's theme. This is a structure that I personally prefer :) Enjoy!

    • @FildaTheBeast
      @FildaTheBeast 4 года назад +1

      adapths Would dare to say it was pretty quick. I played the piano like 7 hours a day for the first moth lmao. Dedication is definitely the key. But then the initial enthusiashm wore off and had a lot of things to do in school etc. Havent played that much since. Well, to answer ur question I learned lets say half of the song in the first two weeks ( but would dare to say it really depends on a person, bcs for example my hand coordinantion is not that good..as I figured out), and reading sheet music in like a month. Then I played less for like 2 months. And now I play only occasionally. Definitely recommend buying something like a keyboard (its cheaper) for the start if u r gonna be a self taught becease u never know how long u will be playing and such.... eh, this is kinda long but w/e hope I answered ur questions. Have a nice day! 😁

      @@misisboom6698 of course ❤️ yes, you’ll generally need the octave reach but for anything beyond you can ‘roll’ it, I believe I do that sometimes in the video as well 🙂 it means that you start on the lower note but then immediately play the next note with your opposite finger, by quickly moving your wrist. Hi, I'm trying to learn this song, and I was wondering if you were using the pedal at all in this? The sheet music doesn't have any pedal lines but it sounds like some parts have pedal use? Thanks for the arrangement regardless, it sounds great :)

    • @TorbyBrand
      @TorbyBrand  4 года назад

      Hi, I go by the standard ‘sustain unless otherwise specified’, as I use pedal about 95% of the time :) that being said I also leave it up to the performer so it’s optional, but that’s my playstyle. It comes naturally for me, and change every chord change/when it gets muddy.

      @@TorbyBrand Good to know, that definitely helps a lot. I only started playing about half a year ago, so most of the pieces I've played are the exact opposite, with no sustain unless otherwise specified. Is using sustain unless otherwise specified common? Should I just assume pedal unless otherwise stated in the sheets for most arrangements?

    • @TorbyBrand
      @TorbyBrand  4 года назад

      DragonEdge10 yes, it’s very common. In a lot of cases you can’t hold notes down and it won’t sound very good without. I’d say unless the sheet specifies it’s up to the user, same goes for, for example, dynamics. Unless you’re doing classical, ‘what sounds good to you’ goes.

      did you get your p45 now? im thinking about getting a p115 or a roland fp30 the fp sound more like a traditional piano and it has better sounding low notes than the yamaha but the yamaha has chilling good high notes
