    Hey Jake, Another awesome video! Thanks for all the advice your sharing. I just ordered everything linked to run a 5volt system in my helmet. I have my first event as Vader on the 18th. I’m excited about it, we will also have a Princess Leia, and Obi-wan kenobi

    Where are you mounting the battery pack in the helmet? My concern has been moisture from sweat shorting the damaging the battery pack.

    • @alaskavader7317
      @alaskavader7317  7 лет назад

      I use velcro to mount it on the back side of the dome on the top no problems for me with sweat or moisture. the fans really help keep the helmet ventilated

    Nice helmet ! Are you able to see the fan in the mouth when you're wearing it ? I meant can other people see it ? Will one of those fans be okay with the 9 volt ?

    • @alaskavader7317
      @alaskavader7317  6 лет назад +1

      yeah it will. People can't see the fan in mine and I can't see it either. Works like a charm. Any fan at all will help a lot!

    Hi, i have an efx standard Vader helmet and just bought a set of fans to go in my helmet similar to your setup. I was wondering how i would cut into my helmet to put in the two smaller fans near the top, and how i would secure them in the cut out holes.

    Hello! I do a lot of decontamination with full body suit and full face respirator mask and I would like to install those blowing fans in my mask! I am wondering how do you connect the LED screen to the rest of the system ?

    Hello! Pulled the trigger on the ANH Quasi! I made the transducer voice set-up you did the video on....works like a charm and can't wait to mount it to the armor. I see that the power pack is the same as the one for the Revo, so 1) where did you mount it, and 2) are you running BOTH Revo and fans off a single pack? Thanks! MTFBWYA!

    Hey, Jake. I purchased all the parts to this, and am installing them in my ESB helmet. Can I ask how you mounted the fans? I can't really tell from the video, but they don't seem to be screwed, and you seem to have a square hole and the fans are just sitting in there, did you glue them?

  • @RickMelges

    Hey Jake, Thanks for the Sub! Great Videos !
    I purchased a couple of super quiet fans, but even with rubber grommets between the fans and the plastic helmet they were too loud. My voice is transmitted using my throat mike system so that was not a problem, but I would not be able to hear anything people would say to me...especially kids who re very timid around my costume! I'm 6'5". How are you able to hear what anyone says?

    Do you still have your cooling fan setup this way in your helmet today? I just received my Portmac and am considering the same? I already got the items you listed, but am a bit concerned with the amount of airflow those fans put out....it doesn't feel like much as compared to the 5v ones I have in my trooper helmet.
