Impressive video. In 1987 Tai Chi was not so known. David C. made very good Yoga and Tai Chi. Certainly he is not a master, but the video shows he was a good pupil and a perfect transmitter. I always liked his calm and understated manner
David Carradine, was a very good versatile actor and matrial artist, ans he had one of the best tai chi workout on film.I miss him. R.I.P. dave/ cane!🎒🐽🏤🗼🎐👻🎅🐫📷🔮🐽🎊🎥🎑🎃🔼⏫↗🔄🔡🔤➡🔠↩⏫💾💽🎈🎑📼🎊👻🎆🎁🎐📹💻🐧🐘🐓🐖🐂🐎🌷🐆🌻🌿🌸🌐
Thanks for posting this. I had this on VHS and got pretty proficient. I eventually stopped the practice and lost the DVD. Have ann trying to find it again for years. Thanks again.
So pleased that I found this video. I have had Davids book for many years. The book came out in 1994, I tried it many times over the years, but for some reason always gave up. I think it was because I never had the time to really do the 13 week lessons as given in the book. Now I am following it strictly, I'm only on week 5, but I was looking for something to help me with some of the moves, as its difficult to see the complete move with just one or two photo's to go with the written instructions. (Probably why I had difficulty before). This video really helps. I'm only doing this for health reasons. So I am very happy with this version of Tai Chi.
May be old but a goodie . Helped with major back pain relief, plus balance and more . I have been using for 30 years after accident . I wasted a couple years with traditional medicine and several chiropractors ,plus several thousand dollars . For me 99% improvement in less than 2 weeks .
The greatest tai chi lesson , i everr did, it not so hard, very patient with spiritual martial art move.Good job.sefu cam and david carridine.!!God bless! R.I.P david!!📷⛲🚤💾🔮📷🚀📷📼🚄🚄💽🌅⛺🌃🌃🌉🌅🚁🚤💻🎥
I know these tapes, had them - they were lousy. But, everyone knew...I once talked about them with a woman who was working for him-David wasnt well at the time he did them...But- he has a very good book called Qi Gong - the Canadian Version was great !Really a serious treatise about health !And, David Carradine was a good first class musician. The rest was he was so sweet and excited about Kung Fu and such things. That made him loveable somehow....yes and all the strange funny films I guess it was the time-the weird ninetees......
This video makes me wonder what would have happened if Bruce Lee, who was considered for the role of Kwai Chang Cain, in the 70's, landed the role. David Carradine was always a "frontman" for the martial arts in American, but among serious martial artists of that era, he was not highly regarded. He was into Dance, whatever that meant back in the early days, and watching some of the old fight scenes from the first Kung-Fu Series, he really was a clod.
I heard of this years ago but never found. thanks for posting. its great for voyeristic value if nothing else. Was DC really a shaolin student? what really happened in that bacement.
I do tai chi way better than all of them LOL and they style Tai Chi look corny not putting anybody down but they don't look like real martial artist that just my opinion

Wow, that's really interesting. So I take it, it helped increased strength and flexibility?
This is great, as an actor Carradine really shows a great angle for east meets west! :)

I got this tape, but it is hidden away somewhere. Nice easy workout that I do before other stuff.
Check out the hairstyles. I don't know why they didn't break into disco dancing.

A clod is a good way of putting it most of the time he looks like a kid pretending to do kung fu with his friends
those clothes and hair dos are some dated fun

This guy doesn't know Chinese Tai Chi. Totally deceiving.
His master does. Kam Yuen is legit.
not trying to be a downer or anything but it is missing the starting stretches
呢条仆街係到呃西人,跟本唔识太极拳。
