Currently, the non organic waste is sorted a materials recovery facility. However, source separated recycling using blue containers will be fully implemented by late 2025 or early 2026.
@@94tristen_thetrashman I don’t think they sort when these Americans are lazy asf where they can’t even sort at home. They just dump all in landfill and contaminate the land and environment.
@@Josh-os4qkThis part of the US passed a provincial law in 1989 requiring all waste to be sorted for recycling and/or waste diversion if there was no source separated recycling present in a given jurisdiction. Since then, many jurisdictions using that “we sort for you” means of recycling have discontinued that system in favor of the 3-container system. A newer law passed in 2016 has this particular area going to a 3-container system in the near future. There was a time, however, where all of this was going straight to landfill - A 3 or 4 month period at the start of the pandemic in 2020 when recycling facilities across the world had to temporarily shut down until they found a way to do their job safely; including clean MRF centers.
Great job bro keep working

@@94tristen_thetrashman ah ok cool
Where does that mini truck go to dump its load?
Into the actual garbage truck at the end of the video.
Are you guys city workers, or is the garbage collection privatized where-ever you live?
Privatized. Not many municipalities in this region do their garbage collection in-house, and quite a few have gone private in the last 13 years.
@@94tristen_thetrashman Interesting. Well its impressive watching you work. You have a good work ethic.
@@TheHeaveHoethank you!
Hey sanitatlon94
Hey Michala!
Why don’t you recycle cardboard and cans? But just dump in garbage side?
It’s all sorted at a materials recovery facility. Separate recycling at home won’t be implemented until late 2025 in this area.
