Nadal's record on clay is mindblowing
It's literally what makes him who he is.
Was nice to see Garin, Miomir & Giron in one of these
Rafa is the only player who won clay court tornuments more than the loss on clay
compared to Roddick..
I died laughing how crazy good this stat is xD
Won more TOURNAMENTS than matches lost? No thats crazy dude 😂 so he wins most tournaments he plays
That is crazy. Crazy good.
45
Tommy, my friend, if you retire at 25 with multiple grand slams, it means that your winning % is very high. This is % and not number of matches played which means that the less you play and more during your peak, your % will be higher. He did return in the 90s though but couldn’t play enough to ruin the stats lol.
Your explanation is a little wonky. Borg's win percentage is high b/c he dominated on clay when he played - and had he played beyond age 27, it could've been higher not necessarily lower. Nadal is playing until 37, way past his peak, and his win percentage is still in the 90s. They're both just gifted on clay.
Good to see Giron, he is a good guy.
Missing Nadal saying me, me, me, me, me... in RG winners list video.
A lot of the players didn’t understand that it was win percentage not total wins.
Seemed like that.
Even the guys at ATP didn't understand, winningest means most wins.
It is said in 00:19 - “based on their win-loss record” - win-loss is always percentage
@@MoDi997 for most of these guys English is not their first language, so additional context should've been provided.
@@vladstefan7629 Paul was one of the dudes who didn't understand :D
Nadal, if he was in the video: “I’d put myself in there” 😂
That would be Sascha?
me, me , me ,me ....
Zverev be like
Nadal's record is obviously the most amazing stat in this video, but the fact that djokovic is still fourth all-time on his least favorite surface is also crazy. He honestly would probably be third or second if you discount his losses against nadal.
Definitely impressive, but you can't discount his losses against Nadal - if that were the case Federer and a few other people would be on the list. 🤣 Also, you can't ignore the fact that Djokovic got so good on clay b/c of Nadal - Nole had to raise his level to beat him on clay; just like Nadal had to raise his level on hard and grass to compete with Federer.
Tommy Paul putting Borg at number 8 😭😭😭
I think he thought it was matches won
@@cizzorzsonandy9773 either way Borg had a reputation for being a clary court specialist
Stefanos Tsitsipas😍 The winner. Bravo 🫶💛 One of two youngest players in the video, but a wise old soul ❤😘🥰🙏 Hope Stef can be on these ATP lists at the end of his career 🔥❤️🔥🧡
Good to see Marcos in one of these videos. Nice guy.
Intoucheble Record In Sport History 14 Roland Garros!
Couldn't you pick a better thumbnail? Garin looks like he's about to sneeze 😂
Great video ❤
Only Nadal got 2 digits wons in almost all clay courts and definitely NO ONE can ever ever achieve that stats:
RG - 14 🏆
BARCELONA- 11 🏆
MC- 11 🏆
ROMA- 10 🏆
what?? 91% is INSANE. thats literally he wins 9 out of 10 matches he plays. and there arent that many clay tournaments compared to hard. GOAT.
there are quite a significant amount of clay court tournaments, both in the swing and even before/after the clay swing, i feel like there's way more clay
@@mrmaxmo1670There's a lot of clay, but I think hard court by itself (excluding indoor) has to have more tournaments. You have the AO and 2 weeks prior, the spring swing in the US/Asia/Mexico and then the Summer Swing. 3 GS, 4 M1000, for clay you have the swing before and after RG, and the one before RG is looong, more if you add the south American tournaments during the spring, but still!
Nadals French open achievements is the best in all of sports, but you do realize there being less events on clay helps his winning %…
@@bsrussianyes, not that much though. What’s the percentage ure thinking of?
@@Zain-mg3yk @bsrussian I I get your point, lets say we eliminate RG from the record, we substract 112 wins from 474 = 362, and 3 losses from 45 = 42. That would be still 89.3%. That's still freeking incredible to me!
Cool video, but it seems like some of the guys thought it was based on total wins instead of win percentage. Might want to clarify that next time lol
Finally one of these game where Thiem is not the absolute winner 😂
Bravo Stef
Nadal in this game: me, me, me, me memememe
00:58 Thiem so cute 😍
Nadal will be the GOAT of Clay forever
Giron seems like such a nice guy.
Tsitsi in my language means Mercy but surely TSITSIpas not showing any MERCY
They are taking winning percentage, not total wins. That can be misleading.
We are not doing the word "winningest" 💀
Grande garin
Giron looks like Dimitrov and sounds like Federer
Where is Thomas Muster in this list? The guy got to N⁰1 playing only clay!
Damn i didn't know Federers Clay record was 76.2% (211-66) and Sampras was 72% (62-24)
Federer was actually an excellent clay courter - he just had to deal with Nadal for his whole career.
Do it for hardcourts please
The way Giron speaks reminds me of Roger 🙂
Tsitsipas is so good at these games about history
Where is Daniil Medvedev? There should be quiz for him too.
1. Nadal
2. Nadal
3. Nadal
4. Nadal
5. Nadal
6. Nadal
7. Nadal
8. Nadal
9. Nadal
10. Nadal
Need to clarify the rules for the people guessing! They didn't know it was based on percentages. (And neither did we unless we figured it out on our own)
It is clearly said in 0:19 - “based on their win-loss record”. They know exactly what is the key.
Tommy Paul says at 1:36 that he didn't think Bjorn Borg would be high on the list because he retired at 25 and didn't play as many matches.
I suspect that the audio at the start that mentions "win-loss record" was probably only read to Kecmanovic, Tsitsipas and Hurkacz (read by the female interviewer) which is why it quickly/weirdly cuts to her audio. Honestly, I think the rest were interviewed by the male interviewer and he missed that part of the question.
That's reading very far into it but I think that's what happened.
@@juicevox5160 you might be right, there are two voices, so as you said probably two different interviewers and one of them just gave instructions better
@@juicevox5160 Tommy Paul is not the brightest. Don't take this game too seriously.
Nadal: me
Shame Zverev wasn't there to put himself in the mix
Pretty clueless when it comes to the technical side of tennis, but what makes Nadal so dominant on clay? Say I know he plays heavy topspin but what makes topspin more important on clay than for hard court or grass?
maybe topspin makes the ball go too high, Nadal takes advantage of that just simply coming into the court to finish the point.
First matches against Roger were mindblowing because Nadal used the spin to make Roger feel uncomfortable with his one-handed backhand.
On grass he could not do it because the ball does not bounce as high as it does on clay .
:)
2 argentines in the top 🥳🥳
No sabía que Batata era tan bueno
Stef❤
RAFA the GOAT !!
All the young ones learned that before Nadal, Borg was king of clay. 🤣
I feel like they were not told it was by percentage and not total number of matches...
Kecmanovic doesnt know abt Borg n clay. The guy was King but he abdicated. How can he think his countryman is anywhere close to this monster😂
Because he probably thought it was by number of wins and not percentage which seemed like a lot of players had doubt about
Roger should've been above Orantes..
He has a win % of 77.1 compared to Manuel's 77%.
Nadal is a good clay specialist.
Giron is seems very nice gay ! Please, invite him more often! Thanks
Stef will win rg this year
If Medvedev is a clay specialist then Hurkacz is king of clay.
Federer and Ferrer must be no. In top 15 at least, no?...
Shouldnt we see the 10 names you gave the players at the start of the video ? So we could guess too... Seriously didnt you think that ?
Do you even clay bruh?
Where is Roger in that list?
He is not in top 10 😂
Gago no le achunto a ni un wn jajajaja
ajajaj igual le achuntó a 4
Garin you’re so damn cute
Why are they naming players that were already ranked? Did they not even tell them the correct pick? Confusing.
Where’s Bweh? No Bweh, no click
where is roger he is @ 77.1%
He is 76.1%, so not in the top 10
Zverev not on the list??😱😱
68%
@@TheGowshikan he’ll go nuts when he hears about it
He will just have to put himself there.
He didn't put himself in there this time
these today's tennis players are too shy and banal.
I surprised that Tsitsipas doesn’t need a toilet break 🤣🤣
Hurkacz is terrible on clay.
Tsitsipas probably cheated. Just kidding.
What's with Giron? He's got that "syndrome" look in his eyes.
