And then let’s see what happens if active party damage boost effects like fiora’s, shulk’s, dagas’s, adenine, and patroka’s could be active even while not being presently used. Idk, just some food for thought, lol. Also maybe take blades like poppi qtpi, corvin, crossette, elma, fiora, etc and put them in torna and see what that does, lmao.
I love that not only are certain blades so overpowered the damage cap of 999999 is about 100x lower than the actual amount of damage that is possible, the 900 mil damage is only that low because the game can only calculate up to 9 digit numbers!
Back when I knew nothing about the combat system, I thought hitting damage cap was difficult... This shows that it's not, and goes well beyond that. Not gonna lie, my mind is kinda blown right now.
Finally, now *this* is the fair and balanced gameplay I've been hoping for. It's so sandboxy and I love it. I completely agree with the last bit too, personally I hope we get something like this in the next Xenoblade game.

The first one gives you a little more liberty. If you choose the ladder challenge, then if you take damage, you have to completely start over. Doesn't matter if you get to Aion and get hit right before you defeat it. You reset your game.

This leads me to one conclusion. Make the next Xenoblade have no damage cap and just give post-game bosses and challenges insane HP pools. It's fun to see these massive damage numbers but consequently superbosses just get killed in 30 seconds.
I wish the damage cap didn't exist if only to make it so that damage ratio actually matters more than hit count. You know, like an RPG should be. Or at the very least, I wish the damage cap was harder to reach.
I think it's fucking crazy how you can go from hitting in the thousands to the hundred millions through optimisations that i wouldn't even consider "extreme", stacking damage buffs are really fucked in this game.

I don’t understand why the uncapped damage caps before 1 billion. I don’t know much about coding, but what I would’ve guessed is that it would be a limit of how many digits in binary that are being utilized to calculate damage numbers, but that can’t be right: 2^29 is 536,870,912, which is far less than the over 900 million that is seen at several points throughout the video, and 2^30 is 1,073,741,824, which is more than 1 billion, which was stated to be unachievable. I wonder what could be really causing this second level of damage cap? Keep in mind, I know almost nothing about coding in general, let alone coding a game.
Is it possible to mod pneuma to s+ trust then use her lv4 as a combo finisher on a fusion combo with the damage cap removed? Maybe it can finally not be one of the worst specials in the game lmao
@@EnelXC Damn, I was hoping giving the Aegis the trust she deserves would actually make her worth it. Oh well, maybe you can show how to do it for sentimental value reasons. Given how I imagine modding opens up the possibility of editing Blade stats and skills, I think it'd be interesting in the future if you had a "Making X blade BROKEN" (like MagicScrumpy) where you take bad blades and discuss what you can add that'd make them better...though perhaps it won't change much, since discussions would probably roll back to: "GIVE EVERYONE KAISER ZONE!111!!!"

How does your Kos Mos do that much damage normally? Mine does probably 1/10th of the damage cap at level one special with a level 1 special enhancer, outdoor damage, moon matter chip... MY QTpi is exactly the same setup as yours and doesnt damage cap. My T-Elos usually hits damage cap easily though. I have 3 burst symbols and a crit symbol. Also special damage up pouch items.

Pneuma would have some of the highest damage and would be actually useful for dps and hurricane abuse would get nuked lmao

it isn't a second cap, it's that the game itself only displays 9 digits even if we get over a billion is all.

What I learned from this video is that dealing one billion damage with a single attack is less ridiculous than an enemy having one billion health.
So the absolute units who are also Battle Androids are still top tier, who'da thunk it...
