That one motion method had a good angle. It was a fluid lift. Rich history on this stone.

I’m only 21 and need all the help I can get haha. Im 6”3”, 100kg(quite lean) and very strong already so have a lot of potential for the sport. I’ve always been naturally very strong too.

Martin Jancsics Any tips on getting the log from the knees to the upper chest, the cleaning portion I find the most difficult. Thanks you

Thank you Martin, I think that was just what I needed for tackling one of "my" stones.
    I really appreciate it. Thanks

Incredible to find this! Thank you so much Martin! Planning a stone lifting tour from the US one day. I liked the comment about disrespecting the stone and ending up in the coffin. Hah!

Thanks for the tutorial ! i'm trying to train for stone lifting, but round stones like these are hard to come by in france. i'm already lifting sandbags in this fashion, do you think that it will carry over ?

Yes sandbag training is a great progression exercise for stonelifting, not just as it is a similar exercise but lifting sandbags really helps increase grip & forearm strength so it is a very good carry over exercise for stonelifting.

I guess there's an element of risk for those prone to back trouble. I wouldn't want to throw my back out in the middle of a farmer's field or derelict churchyard.

captainmorgans1976 Hello, yes this is a stone I would recommend as a good starter. it's a fantastic stone to lift & also in a great location.

Great Martin, need to get some practice in looking to head up in the summer and give it a go, cheers for all your help and inspiration. First stone lift i saw that peaked my interest was when Andy pressed the Inver stone, that was a few years ago now.
