Almost 60 and still have oily combo skin too. Im so glad there are companies now focusing on makeup for mature women. But the assumption that we all have desert dry skin irks me to no end. Thanks for sharing your faves and fails.
The series Homeland gets more intense each season. Hope you enjoy. I really loved your content and came across yours and love this mix of makeup, beauty products, food, and some entertainment recommendations.
Hi Stephanie! I always enjoy your monthly Faves and Fails and you have proven to me, over and over, that I can trust you. I always enjoy your recommendations. Keep them coming!
Thank you for all the reviews! Thanks especially for the pizza recommendation! I’m definitely going to try it. I am a diabetic and am looking for ways to cut back on carbs and am so happy to hear about a good cauliflower pizza crust! Keep food recommendations coming! Love your videos, Stephanie!
Can't agree more with regards to getting enough proteins in, especially in the perimenopause phase. This is SO important for us women to navigate this delicate season of life
I use that Innisfree moisturizer during the day right now. Love it. I have dryer skin. I also tried the Makeup by Mario serum bronzer and just didn’t love it. It wore off my skin really quickly. I prefer the one in the compact. Love your videos Stephanie. So informative. Especially for those of us in the “aging” category.
The Hourglass Edit Ambient palettes are beautiful and I love how they just diffuse everything. Perfection ✔️. Yes, would love to hear more about some of your choices for healthier eating. I hadn’t heard of the Milton’s and now I will check them out. Thank you Stephanie 🤍
My new favorite eye liner pencil is the revlon color stay multi-player liquid glide eye pencil. This has been a game changer for me. I have tried many eye liners recommended by everyone lol and they just never smudge for me even when I work really fast. This one does and it has a nice brush on the end perfect for making a small wing Love it
NYX has the Epic Smoke liners. Nude Haze is the perfect "bedroom eyes" brown, midtone matte and smudges like a dream. White Smoke is very useful as a brightening liner for your lower water line or as a smudge in the inner corner without the sparkle of most. They have a little brush on the end too!
I love the colour of the caliray blush on you but am not loving the formula... Do you have an alternative for a similar colour please? Thanks for a great video again
I am medically g/f and discovered Milton’s cauliflower crust pizzas at Costco. They are AMAZING!!! My husband--who is not g/f-loves them too! We think they are, by far, the best frozen pizzas out there.
Love the tip about the crust. I would be interested in menopause related content. I’m in peri like you and cringe thinking about researching what amazing fun mother nature has in store for me. Your tips would help. ❤
Oh girl I'm immersed in so much info right now and playing around with so many things! I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate some of it into watchable content. Thank you!
Um, I'm finding buying my head in the sand to be the best approach at this point in time. I'm 44. I don't want to think about how that happened. Melting down over every tiny bump on my hand or pimple on my face is leaving a perma-mark that keloids or gets major PIE or PIH, and my hips hurt all the time. Now I understand why elderly people falling down is so bad. I can no longer regenerate! I've lost my Doctor Who power.
If rearview mirrors are as accurate as they've always been for me, I highly recommend HRT. Start now. don't wait until you're deep into negative effects at age 60. "Nuff said.😉
Great recommendations as always! Do you have a spray dry oil for the body that you like? I loved the origins ginger dry oil but they discontinued it. Thx
Just as a side note on a product you influenced me to try. I bought the CoQ 10 toner from Indie Lee when it was 50 percent off at Ulta and im really liking it! We have the same age and skin type. I use it 3x a week and can see a difference already in tone and texture ❤
I definitely did not like the Caliray blush formula! I had Dream State from the Trendmood box and I use powder foundation... so it did not play well and looked patchy like you mentioned. It stained my hand like crazy though!
Please document your perimenopause journey. What are you doing, what’s working, what’s not. It will be very helpful for us heading down that road soon. Thanks!
If you're 35 or older, you may be IN it and not realize it. I only learned that this year at 49 and now so many things make sense from years ago. It's crazy!
@@StephanieMarie same! I’m 42 and have been in it for years I believe. Still trying to get things figured out. I’m so glad this topic is being discussed more!
Fyi, that Milton's crust is tasty, but it does have rice flour in it. It's not strictly one hundred percent cauliflower period costco sells a large pack of them period i'm still using my original hourglass, three pan palette from years ago when it was first released
Hi! I notice that, but it's listed separately from their cauliflower crust, which leads me to believe it's used for something else (possibly for non-stick properties?) I sent them an email to ask about it and to see how much is used. But I'm ok with it as it's certified GF and doesn't contain wheat or white flour. I'll update you when I hear back!
I’m struggling with the Evil Eye. I’m light, but not fair or medium and I seem to be too heavy handed or using the wrong brushes. Can you recommend how to be light handed for a heavy handed Texas neighbor?? ❤🎉❤🎉
Haha! No problem! Ensure you're holding your brushes towards the end and not at the middle or towards the head of the brush. And use brushes that are very soft and not too dense. You want them to feel almost soft like pet fur when you run your palm over them - no scratchiness at all! You don't have to use expensive brushes, but they need to be of good quality to pick up the right amount of product and diffuse it properly (for any product, not just hourglass). Also make sure you're washing your brushes often enough or the oils accumulated in them could be part of your issue! :)
I love caliray in general, but didn’t like the blush at all. Too much like paint if you don’t work super fast and none of the shades looked good on my skin.
I have a couple Hourglass palettes. I like the Owl palette the best. I have the Elephant palette and not impressed with the formula. It hardpanned on me immediately.
I LOVED The Americans. I’d also recommend The Diplomat - so far there’s only one season (I think season 2 starts soon) but it’s political thriller with Keri Russell and it’s really good.
With my pale skin and how expensive Hourglass palettes have gotten... I'm so glad I decided a long time ago it was better just to get a couple full sized powders (I have a powder and 2 blushes) and save my money. They release the same looking palettes every year imo. I'm also super mad Nars got rid of the old sheer lipsticks. Especially Dolce Vita. I took a look at Temptalia for a dupe and ordered a MAC lipstick instead hoping it will be close enough. I'm not buying Nars anymore. The ELF lipsticks are quite nice, smell good, but need more colors. I think are supposed to dupe the Nars. Those sheer lippies were the ONLY Nars products I ever purchased and liked. (I've had samples sizes of stuff, especially Orgasm blush which looks horrid on me.) Honestly, drug store has been my go to for a lot of things lately.
They just can't do it right can they? Dragon could be near-perfect if they had Enchanted Light in there instead of one of their "new" but darker finishing powders (so, the two palest shades they've ever released, the palest in the top left is not available in their regular line) and it wasn't for that dang highlight. It's so dark. Also the bronzer looks pretty orange as usual. I sort of want it still because I get major FOMO but Jellyfish will do.
I feel the same on a person who don’t like dishwashers. They have never had one or used one before. The Hourglass is nice too. So so natural skin like looks. They last for ever too! Don’t cheat yourself out of that.
I bought the Elephant pallet 2 yrs ago, it still works today like it did when I bought it. I bought the Evil Eye this year since I’ve almost used the other one. Considering how long it has lasted, it’s pricey up front, but provides enough value to be reasonable when you take into account I’ve used it for 2 years.
I’ve had a couple. The evil eye one is amazing. Maybe it’s because I’m older now but dang I look airbrushed. First time I can use everything in one palette.
Copper peptides in a liquid blush is not a selling point for me. I start the day with a vitamine C serum, followed by a big blob of sunscreen, then foundation and that would be the time in my routine for the blush. I find it very hard to believe that on top of all that, the copper peptides are going to give me any skin benefits.
The new Merit moisturizer is great!!! I’ve been using it under make up … I just found a new milky toner ( Essence) that’s incredible from HaruHaru Wonder it’s just as good as my ILIA one that I love … maybe better bc it’s not so “oily” on me it just sinks in and moisturizes wonderfully 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I have dry skin and started using this as my morning moisturizer then add my sunscreen. I have been loving it and my makeup sits great on top. It sinks in and is not shiny on me like it was on her hand so I guess that’s my dry skin drinking it up😂
Hi Stephanie, I would love to see more about your perimenopause healthy eating choices, as well as anything else you’re doing to help yourself physically and mentally in that area.

Love my Hourglass palettes . Quick grab in the mornings that I’m rushing around to get ready. Looks so natural too. Like skin and not over done.

Thank you so very much for another wonderful video, you are sooo... sweet ! ♥️🥰♥️
So happy you’re loving the persona lippies. ❤
They're lovely! Thank you Sona! ❤️
Thank you for demonstrating merit! I have oily skin and was so intrigued by it but no to glow for me!
So grateful for the lip liner love! 💗 happy you're loving your new fall shades 😍

Hi Stephanie! Are you still planning a top 10 favorite concealers video? Thanks.
I love the Timeless Matrixyl Synth 6 at night after retin-A! Have used for years. I use their CoQ10 in the morning. Timeless has really nice products.
I've been loving the cosrx snail essence & cream.
Thank you for keeping us company !
Can't agree more with regards to getting enough proteins in, especially in the perimenopause phase. This is SO important for us women to navigate this delicate season of life
Yes! I'm finally starting to see and feel changes after placing more concentration on this!
Josie Maran's body butter is the absolute best moisturizer. I have been using it form day one. I use it as my facial night cream and neck too.
Yes!!! All the menopause tips!!!
I use that Innisfree moisturizer during the day right now. Love it. I have dryer skin. I also tried the Makeup by Mario serum bronzer and just didn’t love it. It wore off my skin really quickly. I prefer the one in the compact.

Homeland is great! Thank you for recommending The Americans. It was SO good!!!
I love the Mario Softsculpt Bronzing & Shaping Serum. It blends flawlessly - I think it's goof-proof!
I love the Timeless line! I use the Vit C , Coenzyme Q10, and Matrixyl serums
Me too!!! I love them ❤
Me as well - love all 3!

@candace.marie82 thank you for mentioning the eye liner! It sounds great. I’m going to pick one up today
Yes you will not regret and they sell it at the drug store 11 dollars I’m going back to get all colors I think I seen it on Ulta as well
NYX has the Epic Smoke liners. Nude Haze is the perfect "bedroom eyes" brown, midtone matte and smudges like a dream. White Smoke is very useful as a brightening liner for your lower water line or as a smudge in the inner corner without the sparkle of most. They have a little brush on the end too!
I tried the epic smoke and for some reason I can not get those to amuse either, it may be user error lol

Do you know if they are subject to cross contamination?
Their products are certified gluten free. You can find all the info on their website
Would love to know how you styled your hair today!
Go check out my very last video, the Allure one at around 26:16 😆💖
I LOVE my Dragon palette! I have the Jellyfish from last year, and love that one too!

Have you tried the Ciele Concealer?
Which shade in the Nars lipstick do you use?
At 5:55 I shared the shade is Blame 💖
Thank you❤ look really nice😊
Great recommendations as always! Do you have a spray dry oil for the body that you like? I loved the origins ginger dry oil but they discontinued it. Thx
I don't use a spray dry oil. Sorry! Thank you!
When do you use the Timeless Metrixyl - part of morning or evening routine?
I use it am and pm after cleansing/toning. Sinks right into my skin! Love it!
Just as a side note on a product you influenced me to try. I bought the CoQ 10 toner from Indie Lee when it was 50 percent off at Ulta and im really liking it! We have the same age and skin type. I use it 3x a week and can see a difference already in tone and texture ❤

Caliray blush is like the blush versión of estee Lauder double wear!
Omg how do you customize on the hourglass site??? I’ve looked multiple times and thought they weren’t doing that this year
The link is in my description box. They're definitely doing it b/c I got mine that way :)
@@StephanieMarie I posted my comment before you said that in the video 😂 🤦♀️

I tried the Milton’s pizza but it didn’t have any flavor compared to Costco’s Kirkland brand cauliflower crust pizza, those were delicious!

Coinkidink! I'm updating my movie database tracker this evening to see if new seasons are out. Diplomat S2 starts 31st October according to The TVDB.
❤❤❤
I wish Hourglass would do a cooler palette. The majority of colours in them are always warm. Emma x
