Thanks Boss !! At 63 I have changed everything drastically. Was training But!! Diet is key. I fast 18-6, I do OMAD . Have even gone 48hrs fasting. No sugar .starchy carbs. Was at 215 at one point. got stuck at 195. Got more serious with goals now I'm at 177. 165-160 is my goal. Thanks OG for inspiring so many . God bless
I was having sleep problems also and my Dr. suggested a sleep test. Naturally, I was diagnosed as having sleep apnea. I was contacted by phone and told my cpap machine was ready to ship to me. I declined. My problem was I could not breath properly through my nose. I bought a box of Breathe Right nose strips. They are a hard flex plastic strip with adhesive that sticks to your nose and pulls the nostrils open, allowing you to breathe naturally through your nose. They have been a God send, and I have been sleeping through the night ever since. After a while, I noticed I was able to breath while sleeping without the strips. But I keep them in my night stand for those nights I know my nose feels stuffy. But I swear by them. No bulky apparatus to wear, no noise from the machine. Just sleep. And they are inexpensive. Try them.
I'm in great shape, I've been on CPAP for 4 years...its a life changer and find a comfortable mask is key. Just the nose snorkel worked the best for me, no uncomfortable mask. Good luck. 👍
I only slept 3-4hrs each night, a few yrs ago. Stretch before you go to sleep. Stretch at least the muscles that you know you’ve worked throughout the day. It relaxes you perfectly for great rest
My ENT did a Turbinate Reduction on both nostrils and my snoring went away. He said he wished all Sleep Apnea patience would check if they need it first. The ones who still need a CPap could have it adjusted and it would be more effective. The idea of widening your nasal passage is kinda like the water hose thing we did as kids. Imagine when more water is flowing in your mouth and it stretches your mouth wider. In this case, more airway and air at night keeps your passages open better. Changed my health. If anyone needs this surgery ... big difference will happen for you.
Love this video, Mark. Very informative and I took quite a bit away from it. (Especially the endocrine disruptors being in toothpaste. Why is that a thing? 😂) .
Good Day Mark, so.. I've been subscribed for quite awhile now, and I listen, watch, and appreciate the content that you and Gary share with all of us. I know several men who have been convinced they have sleep apnea and who are now burdened with the ball and chain of a sleep apnea machine. They hate it, and it hasn't been of a benefit to them. I would listen to your doctor friends who say 'no way' and try and find out if there may exist an alternative. In other words, don't rush out to buy a machine! Think about it.
I don’t know much about this topic but have a guy that worked for me and it was a life changer. He had anxiety too and didn’t like the mask at first but got used to it and it made a major impact. If someone were overweight, if they did get a CPAP machine (assume they need it) they would sleep better and that may help them have more energy to give into their workouts and have the goal of getting off needed the machine. My 2 cents. 😊 Be well.
Hi Mark. The struggle is real brother. Another option for sleep apnea is a dental device you wear at night. I switched and has helped my sleep apnea. I just got to where I wasn't able to tolerate the mask at night.
There are two types of sleep apnea- obstructive and central sleep apnea. Obstructive is just like it sounds soft palate or excess fat can reduce the flow of air and oxygen through the airway. Central isn’t obvious like obstructive, but it is probably even worse central sleep apnea is when the brain stops telling the proper muscles to breathe. I have both or had because now I have a CPAP.
I've been using a CPAP for +15 years. It can help with your high blood pressure because you are not struggling to breathe in your sleep. CPAP machines have improved so much over the years. My first one was like having a leaf blower strapped to my face. The new one, my fourth, is quieter than the ceiling fan.
thanks for sharing about having trouble sleeping;i have the same or maybe worst problem when it comes to beeing able to sleep.let me know what you are doing to overcome that.
I hit some kind of wall. I have a CPAP but I only sleep an average of 5 hrs per night. The test result showed that 4 - 5 hrs is normal for me since I've been sleeping that way ever since I enlisted in the USAF many years ago. So if it's not the sleep then what is causing me to hit this wall of not losing weight and not gaining enough muscle?
If you focus on a carnivore diet and get away from plants/vegetables it might help tremendously with your sleep. My girlfriend was an insomniac and was also a vegan, once I got her to try the carnivore diet ...her insomnia went away. It was crazy the changes that happened to her once she went carnivore. Anxiety went away, skin problems, bloating, she lost some weight, and her sleep. Keep in mind that vegetables/plants release toxins when their skin membranes are broken through eating or cooking - this is how they keep animals from eating them. When we eat vegetables/ plants those toxins are released in our bodies and have different negative effects on our bodies. Just a suggestion that might work for sleep problems.
I would love for somebody to do a video for people like me who literally work 20 hours a day and the only food I have access to is junk food or pre-packaged
Hey Mark, thanks for the content thay you and Gary share. On the Cpap, I use one too, for 5+ years now. It is a life changer. Yes, it's a bit annoying at the beginning, but you get used to it and can't stay without it. Stick with it.
have difficulty peeing due to enlarged prostate and take flow max .. last visit to doc and he says let's try a testosterone blocker to see if it will help shrink it .. proscar / finesteride 5 mg/d .. used it for 3 months .. one side effect listed is breast enlargement and that's what happened .. it didn't help with peeing but boobs seemed bigger .. been off for 3 months and they have not shrunk .. very sad big mistake .. hoping that over time it improves ..
I have low bodyfat (probably 12% or sth), i do a lot of sports (gym, soccer, volleyball...), sleep 8+ hours around 6/7 days a week and still got a man boob on the right side for almost 2 years now(only on right side thats even worse because you see it instantly). Anyone else can relate or has fixed that im rly desperate tbh
Absolutely HILARIOUS that tip #2, the "easiest one" is just an ad read! And other than that, YOU SUPPLY ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ON HOW ELSE TO AVOID THEM! Come on now!

Thanks for sharing this! I've gone through the same thing you mentioned! I will have to buy those strips! Thanks again

The CPAP saved my life also and I too use the nose snorkel. I have only been without my CPAP once in the last 14 years.

Yeah sleep can be a struggle especially on a carnivore.. lifestyle some days good Sunday's bad
Hello did you ever try peptide DSIP for deep sleep?
Did the sleep apnea machine help in anyway?
I would love for somebody to do a video for people like me who literally work 20 hours a day and the only food I have access to is junk food or pre-packaged
Try the Tuna pouches and buy some crackers or get a freeze lunchbox and put some chopped apples in it to stay cool and eat them with peanut butter
Thank you for a great video, and welcome to the CPAP machine tribe!
