My favorite part of watching cedh games like this is seeing all of the interesting interactions that i don't normally think about. Like deflecting swat on a Jeska's will to target a hellbent player to yield no mana is something that seems obvious in hindsight, but i would have never thought about it irl. Its educational, and genuinely makes me feel like I'm learning to be a better player
Yes! Learning timing is one of the most important parts of commander, and watching the highest level plays just teaches you about scenarios before you encounter them
@@ScoopPhaseBiggest brained play I’ve seen in a long while. It stinks that it didn’t work out for you in the end, but it was 100% the right call. It sparked joy.
Dylan and Cam just have infectious energy. I had a long and hard day at work yet I can’t help but smile as I watch this video and listen to the commentary. I’m just one of many viewers but I just wanted to take the time to tell you guys, you are appreciated.
Thanks so much for the shoutout in the video! That first game with the turn 1 win was nuts haha, I'm so happy to also see a Krark deck in this because that's the next deck I'm planning on making to go along with the red playmat I made :)
i was scared of that chain of vapor segment, but then everyone kept playing normally even if starting their own turn with zero lands. the power of cedh
The emerald charm finally putting in work!!! I still remember this card from the jeopardy episode, and finally what Dylan said is coming true! Amazing play
Codie is a wonderful commander. I have so much love for him it is difficult to express in just written words. But the unique interaction suite has got to be one of my favorite things about him. That Emerald charm can be used to either grind out value by adding an extra Codie activation, or be strong enough removal to take down some of the most powerful cards in the format(Rhystic & Underworld) is peak deckbuilding. The questions Codie forces you to answer before you draw your first card, are the questions I love exploring. I have been very excited to see Dylan on his Codie kick. If he switches to Rogsi, so be it, Rogsi can be faster and we saw that today, so I wouldn't blame Dylan. But there's something special about kicking ass with a book.
You guys really, REALLY make me want to play cEDH. Everything is so chill. It's like just sitting down for a good game of cards with the boys. Normal EDH is something that I need to graduate from at this point lol.
I believe due to a combination of better decks, better cards and us a community improving in general I think we don't see such games that often anymore. But I guess 4 storm decks with one Mulligan to 2 and everyone else at 5 will cause such games to happen. Very entertaining game. The chain of vapor play in the second game was insane.
Alright, I'm going to force myself to watch this episode because I love you guys. That being said, I'm actually mad noone's playing the actual best storm deck in cEDH here, which is of course Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain :D
Honestly, game two was so insane between the flare copying pact and Tad's next upkeep that I'm not even mad about the forgotten pact. That was so much happening.
Love seeing Tad play becuase usually during tournaments hes running them so its always nice to see him actually play! Also a T1 RogSi win is hilarious. Thats what everyoje is afreid that deck will do and its always hilarious when it actually does it. 😂
You guys should have released the first game as it's own individual video, before releasing the rest, just to make us all lose our shit thinking that was it for the week 🤣
Learn something cool every day. He put rog in the graveyard so he could exile it to underworld breach and have an extra card to escape with knowing he can just put it in the command zone. Such a small detail that shows he's a great pilot
Boy, howdy do I love Krark. I have a Krark/Thrasios deck, but I'm so tempted to make a second with Krark/Sakashima. I may have a problem. That being said RNG was a bitch for Scoop, for the longest. Still great and amazing, though. Game Two was absolutely amazing. One of my favorite games to watch on this channel.
The Chain of Vapors collective play to turn off Dockside is one of the greatest things I've seen in Magic. Never imagined I'd see 3 players conspire to put themselves down to nothing to soft-counter a 2-drop. 😂
Great Game! But that's a shame that you guys forgot about the pact trigger, if Tad had died in his turn ScoopPhase would have Mental Mistep for the Autumn's Veil, maybe they could had stop the Win. But man, this video was just on fire! a Turn one kill and a whole board bounced just to not lose the game to Dockside. Absolutely insane! :D
"I've been threatening this Codie deck that it's going to turn into RogSi if it doesn't start shaping up. This might be the final warning." And Codie took that personally.
Lol that first game, perfect example of why rog/si is performing as well as it does, dude opened with one of the many different hands that just has t1 win written all over unless somebody has a one of like 4 different cards that woulda stopped him lol.
Man i wish they would release more gameplay content i love watching games like this ive seen everyone of there videos its hard to have to wait each week for a new one lol
„I‘m playing Ezio“ Cool, playing Assassins and Stuff! How do you win „Thassas oracle“ Makes sense 😂 I really wouldve loved to see the deck actually in Action, like why IS he playing Ezio? Really great video though, I Love your Content! Keep it up! That Turn one win xD
Rules thing. At 12:57, when you cast Legolas's Quick Reflexes then flip into Ancestral Visions, you can't cast it because of the rules of Split Second.
Best part for me was seeing Cameron losing both games with 0 permanents on board (and not as a result of the winning combo including something that would bounce/exile all permanents). At least in the second game he had 1 energy, so he wasn't exactly where he started :D
In the second game when Dylan wins, he couldn't cast the Culling ritual. He had to tap exotic orchard for green or black while it could only tap for blue and red
He could have cast crop rotation to grab either urborg or yavimaya and would then be able to cast the culling ritual now that exotic orchard could tap for either color but then he wouldnt have the command tower for the red. I think he could've definitely still won just with a slightly different line but im not sure what exactly the hand looked like
I love how both games are exactly what casual players think cedh is
Turn 1 win because no player has interaction, and then turn 55 win after 20,000 counterspells
@laytonjr6601 my LGS has a lot of blue players. So 20000 counter spells is pur casual there lol
the only difference is cedh is way more fun than they think

Is no one going to point out the sick video editing at 27:53 for this cutaway show?? Great touch for a great game.
I remember this style edit happening at least once in an earlier video, it's real cool, keep doing cool stuff Dylan
Bro really had me thinking we've just been watching an external recording of his screen this whole time...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, I had to rewind it because I was like yo, that was clean
25:03 Seeing ScoopPhase suggest all the players sac their whole board to prevent a dockside making any treasures is peak cedh. Hilarious !
I know things sometimes!

The games are the perfect yin-yang, that's just how the math works. But a perfect showing of how top stuff go. Love it all
