Hey Alex. It was nice to meet you out there. Was in the purple/white Skeeter with my brothers. Glad you guys got them too. It was one of those epic days. I got a 15lber right after you headed toward the ramp. Nice battle. Take a look at the Blade runner spoons. 1.75 oz. You will notice a difference. They really hook more fish. The guy that designed them, Rick was fishing arou d us that day as well. We hooked over 40 fish that day. Hope to see you on the water again soon. I have a Titan 10.5....but much easier to hop on my brothers boat. Hes a member.
Talking to you was probably the highlight of that day for me. Glad you got a huge one! I met Rick before at Camanche north shore boat ramp and at the time before he even released it, he gave me a handful of weedless jig heads. I have 4 of the blade runner spoons and they definitely have a better hookup ratio. Hope to see you out there again and I will keep an eye out for ya!
Daaang man! That makes me wanna make the drive up there. I never fished that area before but it looks lit. Those B-roll shots at the end were fire too bro, all the boats going to the birds was pretty epic. Goodshit keep it coming
Haha the spot can be 🔥 but if the fish ain’t there, they will be like 10 miles down near the end of rio vista lol thanks bro. Appreciate your comments!
@FishingWithAlexS I finished editing it. Don't wanna upload yet. Too crazy. Thinking about heading out this weekend. Don't want to be like Mien New Year on my spot🤣😂😝
with the laser minnow try dropping it down and speed reel it up a few feet and repeat. That instigates stripers to hit it hard. Here in Texoma we call that slabbing
Hell yeah went there last week there going crazy caught my limit fast must say it’s pretty packed there now gunna be x2 now cause this video 😂 love the vid 👌
That’s dope! Glad you got them. I know other RUclipsrs who caught over 10 but yea, it’s like this each year around this time. One or two videos pop off and you’ll see a ton of fishermen out there
No current at all. When the tide shift, you’ll get a small amount of current but definitely not noticeable on a kayak. The winds will be the issue so plan ahead!
Closest launch is for Club members only. Barge canal access can launch kayaks and small 10’ boats which will need to either have wheels or two person to carry lol The next one is pretty far away at arrowhead harbor marina
Like the video ,I fish out there a lot myself . I wouldn't advise eating any fish out of that water it's contaminated with heavy metals and a number of other stuff .
Seal's & bull sharks are a delta issue. I never line fish in the delta on my YAK. flipping in the delta isn't good 😂. Stay safe. Pre-cut , cut bait so you don't have a bait trail under your yak. Bull shark's bite not bump.
You can launch small 10’ boats that have wheels on it from barge canal and the use the same ramp the kayakers are using. Besides that, the launch at Lake Washington is for club members only. You can also launch at arrowhead but that’s so sooo far away
@FishingWithAlexS still catching though. It's was super chocolate milk down here at rio and SJ delta. No luck luck or hits for us. But let's see how it is next week. Was smacking it right before all the rain.
Boat launch near by is a club only launch. The next closest one is probably arrowhead and that’s a long ride to Lake Washington lol small boats and kayaks are able to launch at Barge Canal Access
@ you definitely can not. There are 3 1/2-4’ wide gaps we have to drag our kayaks through from the parking lot to the launch ramp. I see small motorized boats go through there but I’m not sure of the regulations. Most kayakers have a motor (electric) including myself
Why are there even limits on this invasive fish that thrived without human regulations when they were first introduced 130 years ago by some rich easterners who missed catching them in Chesapeake Bay?
@@FishingWithAlexS I don't get why we want to preserve Strippers when they kill Salmon fry and we spend millions on trying to save native Salmon while protecting invasive fish that don't belong here.
It’s pretty obvious I want to help others. I don’t ask for any likes or subs and I have 30 plus years of fishing in the Sacramento region. This spot has hundreds of videos and it’s common knowledge that it’s all about timing. Stripers will come and go days or even weeks at a time
@ I understand and I’m all about helping and teaching people how to fish, but it would sure suck to show up and find the 17 thousand people that watched this video in your spot! Just sayin man!

Wow you did great out there!!! Good stuff brother! 😊
Thank you! Appreciate it
Awesome. Thanks for the update
Great catches, Alex. Awesome trip😉 🔥 🔥
Thank you! Waiting for your vid to drop! 😝

@ahhdat lol skunk city out here today from what I heard
@@FishingWithAlexS Striper all at Turkey buffet today. Them fishermen went on the wrong day🤣😂😝
@ahhdat I know of 4 keepers caught today so far
Awesome catch man. The stripers are in. Keep the videos coming. 🔥
Thanks bro! It’s been a month since I seen one of your videos. You still fishing?
@@FishingWithAlexSyes sir. Dropping one this week. Stay tuned.
Dope vid! Any idea on where does the boats launch from? Or are they members of the lake Washington outboard club?
I talk to one of them and they came from arrowhead which is super far away and the rest are members of the club
@ sheeeeesssh! Yeah that’s a strike lol. Thanks for the info brotha! Tight lines! 🤙🏼
with the laser minnow try dropping it down and speed reel it up a few feet and repeat. That instigates stripers to hit it hard. Here in Texoma we call that slabbing
Interesting. May have to try it next time. Thank you
We need a catch and cook bro! Awesome video as always
Plan to do a lot of them in the near future. Thanks bro!

Especially, when the birds are working! 👍👍👍
Yes! Bam bam 💥
You think the currents too much to be on a kayak with just paddles no trolling motor or pedals?
No current at all. When the tide shift, you’ll get a small amount of current but definitely not noticeable on a kayak. The winds will be the issue so plan ahead!
@FishingWithAlexS right on! Thx
Damn boyyy you popped up on my YT congrats
Lmao 🤣 that’s dope!
Nice catch…..You still working at Tar-J ?
Yup!
What’s all those factory around you guys? Depend on what they are I wouldn’t eat any of those fishes
Not sure but you can say the same for most places
Dang I wish I got out there the last weekend!
My cousin and homie went back today and got their limit. All from trolling Alabama rigs. They didn’t see the main school
Holy smokes! I gotta go try! Good catch Bro! Those are some fattyyyyyyy❤
Nice catch sir
Thank you
Hey, Alex. Is their a boat launch near their?
Closest one is probably arrowhead and it’s so far away. The one right at Lake Washington is for club members only
@ do you know how anyone can become club member and how much?
@ I have no idea
@@leeherr3556 Last I heard that it takes years probably someone has to die to open up a slot.
No need for sf supermarket! Keep slaying out there🎣
Thanks bro! Appreciate the comment!
If u dont mind me asking what fish finder is that?
It’s a lowrance elite 7ti

Nice catch!!!
Thanks!
Nice catch bro
Thank you
Do you know how the water is right now is it blown out?
Only inside of the canal but it’s clear in Lake Washington
Where do I launch a boat out there?
Closest launch is for Club members only. Barge canal access can launch kayaks and small 10’ boats which will need to either have wheels or two person to carry lol The next one is pretty far away at arrowhead harbor marina
Was there a couple weeks ago. All I caught was a small bass; no Striper.
They must’ve moved in. This school of fish will travel back n forth so it can be hard to find them
Where do you launch at?
At the barge canal access aka port of Sacramento. Small boats with wheels to pull and kayaks launch there
Wow cool video!
What’s the size limit and limit out there?.
18” and over, 2 per day and 2 max for possession limit at home
Like the video ,I fish out there a lot myself . I wouldn't advise eating any fish out of that water it's contaminated with heavy metals and a number of other stuff .
Thank you. Will keep that in mind
Are you ever worried of a seal snagging your fish on the stringer?
They got pretty close to it a couple of years ago but there aren’t any in this area right now
Seal's & bull sharks are a delta issue. I never line fish in the delta on my YAK. flipping in the delta isn't good 😂.
Stay safe. Pre-cut , cut bait so you don't have a bait trail under your yak. Bull shark's bite not bump.
@ are there really bull sharks in cali? Never heard of any but that would be scary lol
@ I’ve never heard of bull sharks in Cali either. Alex have you ever had an encounter with a seal?
@@FishingWithAlexS yaaa, bro FK YA there is. 🤣. Be safe.
how do I launch a boat here ?

Is there bank fishing there
A lot of bank fishing access but a very long walk to the mouth of Lake Washington from barge canal access parking lot
How's the water doesn't look like chocolate milk ?
3 ft of visibility at Lake Washington but chocolate milk in the canal
@FishingWithAlexS still catching though. It's was super chocolate milk down here at rio and SJ delta. No luck luck or hits for us. But let's see how it is next week. Was smacking it right before all the rain.

@@catfishhunter3414 arrowhead but the main school of fish went down south so you would probably driving the boat pass them on the way to this spot 😂
So much fish, need to do a cycle count!
Bro lmao 🤣
Why are there even limits on this invasive fish that thrived without human regulations when they were first introduced 130 years ago by some rich easterners who missed catching them in Chesapeake Bay?
