@@lunamig1006 I was fine with all the dogs and cats coming out in 2021 (that’s what made my brother quit LOL) but I hate all the super boxes and paid bundles it is ruining aj (even though I have had membership for years but shouldn’t members be able to get the bundles free or make them sapphs like they used to be?)
AND the lazy reskins (even though I do like the rainbow raccoon and legendary eagle)

I wouldn’t be so upset about the Corsac fox or the new lovedove if they weren’t paired with each other. It just means that they technically didn’t make anything new this time, other than the den. (I don’t count the super box, it costs real money anyway). I also feel like they need to focus more on animals they don’t have. Crabs, bugs, frogs, varying types of bird just to name a few that are no where to be seen as playable animals. How many species of fox, dog/wolf, cat do we need? I think we would much prefer a completely new animal. Hopefully a new fantasy pet you can grow comes out this month to make up for it.

I think it's a very very good thing that you can be critical of a game you love while still bringing up what you love about it too, especially when others in the community ignore the bad news to keep up a happy child-friendly vibe. You have my respect!

I don’t care if the Corsac is a copycat animal, it is adorable and would be an amazing main! Also the new super box is glacier themed! If you say “Glacier pet token” the item comes up.

EXACTLY!!! Every month I always buy the new animal- even when there were reskins, hippos, retro siamese- but this time I'm just over it. I don't want an Off-Brand Arctic fox. The fact that now they're trying to straight up just pass off reskins as new is crazy 💀

I was talking about it with a friend who still plays (i quit about a year ago) and they showed me a comparison. I actually thought it was the same animal until they told me.
I remember when the rarest item you could own was the flower crown.. then like everything else Wildworks ruined it. I’m sad seeing all these lazy update’s especially when it’s a “new” animal that’s a slightly altered version of another animal. There’s so many animals in this vast world and wildworks can’t make a new model on any of them??

I actually managed to get a look at the new bundle! Apparently it’s themed one glaciers , and it’s.. REALLY UGLY! It gives your pets cracks in them, makes them look like they’re mud of silver and add a (I think) 3d bumps to the texture! Hope this helped though.
This also happened with the sugar gliders and snowy gliders so now people are scamming with the snowy gliders
This update came out too early but maybe we getting dragon but hey we never know.
These are my first time buying them. I bought the bundle in black making my Corsac Fox looking like Raidou from Shin Megami Tensei Devil Sommoner. Some game I used to play as a teenager during my edgy day. 😅 💜💜
I remember mentioning this in comments, sucks they don’t have many original ideas anymore, I just want them to make a original design like make a brand new model
I like the new fox tbh. I've always liked the Arctic Fox animations, but I wasn't a huge fan of the model. Personally I like the Corsac Fox model a lot more

In my opinion I don’t really mind, in the real world the two foxes are pretty similar so I feel like it does make sense to make the pretty similar. I wouldn’t mind if the corsac had a little bit more change to look a little less like the arctic fox model.

To be honest, I think AJ needs to be adding more Quality of life improvements. Some improvements I would add are focused on Jam a grams. I’d love it if they could make it so we change the jam a gram alert sound, send gifts through Jam a grams and lock our jam a grams and open them to everyone

From October 2022 - February 2024 was the dissapearance of komodo dragons, i own the komodo from the october 2022, im unable to style it, most things look bad on it aswell, and i dont reccomend buying unless you collect animals
Aj lied the hat from design a hat thing isnt in the game yet, do not make desing something thing untile the hat realese
A new idea for a animal for animal jam to add to the game, a natural and cute cat animal! Like not a specific breed, just a cat. Where if you add stripes to it, it becomes a tabby! And you add splotches, it becomes a calico! And where the color option for the pattern, is a second color option for the patterns! And where the cat fits in with the other animals, but looks natural and pretty and cute!
I think WildWorks is focusing a lot on bringing new content with each update, and always meaningful content like animals, dens, pets, and other items as well. In my opinion, this puts a lot of pressure on employees. And the only reason I see why they always want to bring new content is to make money. And because employees are so pressured, they take a pre-existing animal model and simply modify it.
Honestly, I believe they should aim to introduce new game mechanics that don't necessarily involve points or collecting items, and not "boxes" for us to buy "exclusive" items, but rather mechanics for the player's enjoyment and to keep them involved in the game. Wildworks needs to understand that it's not just kids who play Animal Jam anymore, we have a lot of teenagers and even adults, especially in Animal Jam Classic. Bringing new animals, dens, is cool, but I think they should bring this content later and calmly, and well done, rather than just modifying ready-made models.
In the past they made new animals, pets and dens almost every month, why can't they now?
@@lunamig1006 WildWorks has about 100 employees, and of those 100 employees, those who work on the Animal Jam game, I'm not sure but I think there are only 20 people. Bringing all this content every month may not seem like it, but for just 20 people, it's a lot for them to do. And for this reason they end up remastering their characters. For this reason, I think they should stop releasing new content every month, but rather try to create higher quality content, even if it takes longer to be released. mainly content that adds new mechanics to the game

@@lunamig1006 Exactly, this is the point! I understand them wanting money, but they are doing it the wrong way. When a new game comes out, from another company, that is similar to Animal Jam, but better, they will feel this directly in the money, when players start to migrate to the other game.

I think AJHQ has finally not let us down with this update, The corsac foxes are a cleaner arctic fox, Pet love doves are rubbish but at least it's a good pet reskin, The den, YOU CANNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT.

I think of the animal as a reworked of an old one. For the Komodo dragon my buddy was exited to finally get one.
I was excited when I saw a NEW animal, but then I saw it. I got it just to checkout the actions it had and it has the exact same actions as the Arctic fox. I am SO disappointed.

Ajhq gotta change animal jam to den jam. Every month there is a new DEN. If this game is called animal jam, then why add some many new dens? Nowadays we are getting reskins instead of actual animals. I feel like aj is adding new dens bc there more easier to add? I mean all you do is draw out a new den idea then put the same code. New animals tho probably take more time bc you have to make it and make new actions. I mean the reskins aren't the worst but like 4 in a row with an old animal is just Im done feeling. The new animals are also mystical creatures which well aren't irl animals. I have a feeling aj is going add more new mystical creatures bc for money like the unis. The new party box is just basically tinfoil but shaped into pets and items which in my opinion isn't the best.

Even if not a lot of people would buy them, I just want more non-mammalian animals. AJ is at a point where they've gone through most mammals that people want to see. why not consider birds, reptiles, etc. more often?

It's one thing to make a better model of an old avi, it's another thing to not even bother making different animations for it :/ Like... The remodel itself I'm fine with but it's AJHQ's inability to take the most basic measures to further differentiate them that bug me. The corsac fox is literally everything I wanted the arctic fox to be in terms of design, but sadly at the cost of being insanely repetitive. Also, you'd think they would use this as an opportunity to readjust certain items that fit the arctic fox horribly but naaah, they fit the corsac fox just as horribly lol RIP...
The thing is that the Corsac Fox IS a reskin.
What you’re referring to as a reskin, is a recolor!
The Corsac Fox is a reskin, as it takes the same base as the arctic fox and gives it a “new skin”.
Recolors are when they simply add a design to an existing model.
So by definition, the Corsac Fox is a reskin. The Love Dove is a recolor.
honestly im happy about this cause i loved the arctic foxs appearance in aj classic but its horrendous in pw so the corsac fox revives my love imo

Not gonna lie, but y’all need to chill. WHAT ANIMAL JAM MEANT was that the Corsac foxes LOOK exactly like the Arctic foxes, so they did it purposely. Look up the corsac fox, it’ll look like an arctic fox.

Tbh it looks a arctic fox remodel which does not make any sense to me BECAUSE corsac foxes and arctic foxes live in completely different climates. Corsac foxes live in semi-desert climates and arctics live in, well the arctic. And i mean the animations are good on the corsac but the dig animation gets me because for the most part corsac foxes do not dig their own dens.
Should’ve brought grey foxes to aj since they are the only foxes that can climb trees /hj (they do climb trees im half joking that they should add them instead of the corsac foxes)
Sadly, i haven't actually been able play AJ recently... ive had my acc for years but back when i made it i used my email as the parent and child email sooo... pretty sure thats why i suddenly got an IP ban. i can still play AJ but not at my house and it kinda sucks. the new update seems alr tho, all things considered. I mean with a new animal every month I can't see that being very sustainable long term, like there are only so many uinque looking animals in the world so eventually they would have to start making very similar animals. Not saying it's not lazy or anything, just that I think they should change it to where there is a new animal every 3 months to pase the animals out and make it a little more exiting when a new one comes out

i love the new fox I actually think it's better then the Arctic fox in my opinion but the thing that makes me mad is that it's a LITERAL copycat like the emotes are the same and that's what rlly made me upset bcuz I try to collect every animal that i didnt get yet and I don't want to get a different animal but it just has the same emotes as a different animal I already have and that just ruins the fun in things I was so disappointed bcuz it took me a while to stack up on some saphs to get both komodo and corsac fox and it's kinda just a waste especially if you already have Arctic fox and like the Arctic fox
I think the Corsac Foxes are really cute!! But, they really are similar to the Arctic Foxes, and I literally have 3. I personally don’t like the Arctic Fox actions and wish they’d do original actions for the animal, but it doesn’t bug me too much. Also, I was hoping for the dove to come back, I suppose it did-but as a reskin. Pets don’t bother me as much either. The DEN!! Love the vibe! This is getting too long… happy Friday y’all!!
