Like others, I am not profecient at doing the math to determine the correct spoke length used in these builds.The number of crosses spokes have,the rim diameter and hub circumference are what need to be calculated. I was thinking if I had a die that cut spoke nipple threads I could size my spokes like this but thinking it through that would also be hit/ miss.
Hy, i did the same and I was wondering if your motor heats up after a few miles (mine does). Universal controler (also heats up), push type acceleration and the 4.4ah battery from the hoverboard on a 28 wheel. I use it only to maintain the speed, I build up the speed using the pedals. Nice work on your build. 👍
Keep in mind that the bigger the wheel, the less torque the engine has. These engines are not suitable for making an e bike. The motors of the e-bikes are "gearmotors", precisely to increase the torque.
