Women did NOT wear their hair loose like that in public. Adult women always wore hoods that completely covered their hair, the French hood showed a little hair in the front, but nothing else. All these costume period dramas show the women with their long, waist length, loose hair. It looks very beautiful but it certainly isn't accurate. Only very young girls wore their hair loose. It was considered immodest not to cover the hair.
There is a version of this called the other bolene girl. It's very accurate. Wore hoods and all.

I get that. They need to appeal to today's audience. And I agree, the costumes are beautiful.
We KNOW, but it’s supposed to be contemporary takes on tudor era fashion to create the relationship with the viewer and sort of set up the idea that these are celebrities.

So? It’s just a show to show what happens why does the clothes matter?

Joan Bergin did a fabulous job on Natalie's costumes. My two favorites are the navy/black and silver dress in S1E10 and the black dress in S2E8.

I know for a fact he loved Anne the most. He was just happy to get a son from his next wife. He truly didn’t deserve Anne

The costumes are beautiful, even though not accurate, the song is beautiful, better than the original, the actress Natalie Domer, is amazing as Anne.
I have no idea if these are accurate but, I absolutely LOVE these halo crowns they used in the series. Though inaccurate, I loved the female costumes in the series.

My favourite is the purple one she wore when she dissed Katherine of Aragon in front of her ladies.
Oh man though...it had to be murder in the summer. It wasn't just a pretty dress. It was undergowns and petticoats and kirtles. Beautiful gowns yes but I could wear all that for about 10 minutes

Your choice of music is incredible. I'm with the girl below, I will think hear Young and Beautiful. Mad World is so evocative and it has that sense of hopelessness. Jim still in the middle, but, I can't wait for My Immortal. I love Evanescence so much. Natalie Dormer is, IMHO, the only Anne Boleyn ever. She acts with her eyes and fills up the room with her presence. And. Adelaide Kane and Rachel Skarsten as Mary QOS and Gloriana. And, Anne of Green Gables turned into the most hilarious Catherine De Medici.
I can see I'm going to have to start at the White Queen and got all the way to the Spanish Princess. Thank you for this unique experience.

One of my favorite is the purple/gold she wore when she approched the King (ready to ride) in a fit of jelousy.
This is the best and most ambitious historical series. Images of women and men in it are a separate topic. Of all the wives of Henry in the series, and Anna is the most beautiful images. To match a great woman. And they're all perfect for Natalie Dormer. But the most beautiful images of Anna are on the 4:30, 7:17, 10:06, 12:40, 14:38 minutes.

The costumes were horrible, at best Ren-faire. There was not a single 16th C. note to the styles!
