@@Heidi914 I don't watch that much TV but I'll definitely look up his film list and see what there is. I have an adult son with learning disabilities and it's so hard to find family friendly movies to watch. Even if there's no blatant swearing or sex a lot of things are full of blasphemy or content that is ungodly even if the world thinks it's ok.

I have six sons who were all fans of MrBeast and while my husband and I do our best to monitor what they are watching, and we have strict rules about when and where they can watch things, it does happen that we miss something now and again in previously approved shows. That’s where a lot of the danger lies - in the entertainment that was previous clean, the shows we didn’t have to worry about, the entertainers we trusted. We let our guard down and the enemy sees his way in.
When I learned about this whole MrBeast thing I told my 16-year-old son that I didn’t want any of them watching MrBeast anymore. He let me know that my 18-year-old had already told them that MrBeast was now completely off-limits and they had immediately stopped following them.
I am so thankful that my adult children care so much for their younger siblings. To have our young adults backing us up has been such a beautiful blessing. And to know that our younger children hear and trust their older siblings has brought so much relief to the already stressful time of raising teenagers.

That’s the sign you need that you’re doing such a great job! You should be very proud of yourself for raising such good kids. We do the same with ours, we’re honest with them, but we also teach them right from wrong. Good job mom!!!

My Dad got to hang out on set for a movie that Dennis was starring in (he was close friends with one of the script writers). This was like 5-8 years ago? Something like that. My Dad said he was in AWE with how good Dennis was at what he did. There were some emotional scenes in the film and he said it was incredible how as soon as the director said “cut”, Dennis would go right back to being Dennis and then hop straight back into character just a few minutes later. He also told me that Dennis was very professional and very humble and kind to the crew. He said he was pleasantly surprised because usually people who have been in the industry for so long tend to become very “diva like” and very fussy. But he thought Dennis was so cool and so chill.

When my kids were growing up in the 90’s they watched Parent Trap over and over again. When Dennis was filming The Rookie in Austin, me and my three kids were hired as extras. My youngest had watched Parent Trap so many times that he thought Dennis was a family friend and would just walk right up to him between takes. I have some sweet pictures of Dennis holding my son upside down by his cowboy boots. Dennis had a son a little older, so I think he bonded a little with my son those two days. At the time Dennis was filming all day and playing in an Austin bar every night until late at night. He had shots from a doctor to prop him up from being what I assume was hung over. So very glad he is now walking with the Lord!!

When I think about my favorite movie as a kid it’s hands down the parent trap. I turned it on for my kids the other day and found my self sitting there watching it as if I hadn’t saw 45 times before that. When they get together in the end I still cried. I thought to myself get yourself together you are 30 years old 😂

Oh my gracious! Parent Trap was a movie I adored. I was probably 19 or 20 the first time I saw it. I ended up falling in love with it and buying the VHS. I know I saw that 5000 times. Back then I was poor, the vhs’s I had I watched over and over!! I loved it though. I could quote lines. 😂 But, DENNIS QUAID!!!! Oh my gracious! There has always been something about the movies he is in that makes you as the audience have such a personal connection with him. It’s almost like you know him. I went to the drive -in here in my country home town in southeast Ga to see “I could only imagine.” The dad he played, oh!!! It’s like I was reliving parts of my own life. I praise The Lord that Dennis has given his life to serve Him. To play in Christian based movies and inspirational ones, and now to singing the mercies of The Lord right in front of everyone. To sing it at the grand ole opery! To know there is no shame , for Him to get up and share his experience to other dad’s, mom’s, addicts, alcoholics… we all need to see this hope, courage and faith. To see that we can overcome through the power of the death and resurrection of The Savior of the world… that is a beautiful story. Thank you, Mr. Dennis. May The Lord bless and keep you as you go out and share the gospel through song. The Lord sees you, your dedication to Him and your heart for others to know him. Thank you for sharing your walk, faith and love for Jesus with us.
Two of my favorite Dennis Quaid movies were "Innerspace" with Martin Short and "Great Balls of Fire" when he played Jerry Lee Lewis. He was funny in that one with his crazy hair lol

Good stuff! Dennis made a great point about Hollywood, not just being wicked cause willing to share whatever latest trend regardless of how wicked, but it being a reflection of what people like. He's absolutely right, it goes back to what's on demand, with hollyweird being a tool and ad.
AI, so far as I can tell it's getting smarter, but mostly programmed, and in some cases it auto shuts down (like chat gpt) if truth makers don't like (like about islame) what is asked about, or something "not allowed". Some have tested it by asking general questions leading to it having to admit error and apologizing for earlier statements defending cults, lol.
