We welcome the Irish with open arms. Great rugby team and very nice supporters. It is going to be great and i hope we will see more of them in the future.
Nobody but nobody , goes to NZ and think it is going to be easy. England might have improved but taking on our old foe in their back yard is very very difficult to come out on top.Good luck to them, may the best team win.

Great comment Johan , as an Englishman I agree with Ireland fans being more than nice supporters. Very fair and as gracious in defeat as in many wins. Much as I’m looking forward to England in NZ , I’m as excited by yourselves and Ireland going toe to toe. Worry a little for Ireland with Catt leaving and Farrell being involved with the British lions . Surprised this hasn’t been discussed more by Irish fans . Guessing Goodman will be an excellent coach though .

Good segment Mate - dedicating a video to assessing and contextualising your viewer comment.
I think you read the Bok Fan Room well. Quietly confident and most certainly trusting Rassie - he has hard earned Bok Fan trust and, whilst there's never 100% consensus on selection, he takes the trouble to give us his perspectives and thinking. The guy is transparent and welcomes Fan input. I'm going Boks 2-0 on this series.
Thanks for the segment. Innovative - no other channel I follow has done that.

Expect this to be a great series between SA and Ireland.
Saffa here and I highly rate this Ireland side, their achievements and quality of play speak for themselves.
Home ground probably makes SA slight favourites for the first game but it is anyones series.
Do not underestimate this Irish team they are world class.

We got a try against the world's best team in the world who have great experience. We almost beat experienced England and Scotland too. Bright future for wales

As an Irishman and Leinster fan, I don't expect Ireland to beat the Boks in South Africa. That might be harder to do than beating the All Blacks in NZ, to be honest. Now that Gibson-Park and Keenan are out, it's even more daunting. We want to be tested against the best, and we will be. We can win a test but it's a pity it's not a proper three-test series. It's ironic that a poor Welsh side probably have the best chance of success on a southern hemisphere tour this year. Ireland, England and Wales are all similarly matched against their opponents this summer, and all have similar chances of success, in my opinion. Come on Ireland 💚

SA v Ire: Can't with for this one. Being an Irish fan I'd be happy with a 1-1 draw which I think is very likely and would be a good result for Ireland also. Other than that it will be 2-0 to SA.
NZ v Eng: This should also be very interesting. Again a 1-1 draw is possible as England are very much on the up with some very talented players. However, NZ under a new coach and on home turf will have a lot to say so 2-0 to NZ will more than likely be the outcome in two closely fought games.
Aus V Wal: Two teams in the doldrums with a lot to prove. We could see two really competitive and close games here. I think Wales will have the edge though and I will go 2-0 to them.

Kwagga Smith in my view is an impact player, he was tried at number 8 starting a few years back and his impact was lessened due to trying to take on the roll of Vermeulen, he is too small for that role. We have no better impact player than Smith. He can come on with 30 minutes and his workrate and impact is off the charts

I dont think England fans are deluded... outside of some sections of the press 😂 If England can win 1 test, that'll be huge. In order to do that, the scrum will have to hold its own. SA are immense, settled and at home. Ireland are a bit fragile and, with the injuries, l think SA take this series relatively easily. Wales vs Aus could be the best series. Aus are so unpredictable, but they have some really exciting players. Wales are gritty and tough.

  • @abescheepers
    @abescheepers 4 месяца назад +1

Be sure that SA does not under estimate the Irish, but we are so looking forward to them coming, because we have not had any tests (baring Wales) since the WC and are hungry for the Boks to play. Wales vs Aus. and Eng. vs AB's will be interesting at least.

  • @honahwikeepa2115

English tight five pain barrier will be tested. Ireland aren't fazed about reputation or location. Wales and Australia will be a lucky dip. Bokkie is a formidable force at home. Only the AB regularly humbles the Bokkie at home. Ireland at full strength have the capability to beat anyone. Their depth will be challenged.

I feel the referees are very similar in their approach to the game to last years internationals.
Still too many dodgy calls going on and a lot of interference from the ref upstairs.
The Ireland ref for the Japan Maori AB's game had a bit of a shocker, japan clearly had one of their own men obstructing ab's player (maybe even a shepard) and the yellow for a so called head contact was ridiculous.
I'd like to see international referee's working in all area's of the globe ie some URC refs working in other competitions, like super rugby and vice versa. That was in time all the refs will be on the same page, because the top Nations are so close to each other, that one mistake could mean winning or losing.
Not to be bias or anything, but the super rugby season in NZ flowed amazingly well with longer periods of play than what I saw in the URC.
If you have to start prosecuting people for so called abusing the refs online, then something has to change pretty fast btw the prosecuting people is also ridiculous and very woke ;)
Rugby is not going in the right direction.

Don't understand why All Blacks are so confident in their scrum. England more than held their own against the Boks in the semi final with the starting pack. It was when the bench props came on that it was lost.
In every game Underhill has played against NZ he's been a terror. The NZ back row are very good but considering Curry and Underhill overwhelmed Read and Savea previously and Underhill is in top form, the battle of back row will be fascinating

Look at u20 Ireland & u20 Springboks results from yesterday. Two strong teams for the future. I'm a South African living in Ireland. The problem for Ireland is the media, the same as the UK media. Blowing up ego of players, disrespectful to other team's play format and then when things don't work out media batter their own team and emotionally breaking them. It's an emotional yho-yho with no realistic building on the team and public. Ego is always the wrong way to go, and Ireland is falling flat just before the top price. Don't get me wrong, I love my Irish brothers and sisters, infant they are awesome people, but they rely on media manipulation.

I think the All Blacks, with a new coach and gameplan is simply going to be a bit to much for the English. Englands scrum I don't feel will match up to the scrum of the All Blacks, and the pace and skill of the AB's will have a field day. However, if that doesnt click for the All Blacks, England might just surprise them, especially with the expansive game they are starting to play. But All Blacks at home, 2-0
South Africa v Ireland. South Africa will be tough at home, but this Irish side is no joke. Keep in mind, SA just got past the AB's (with 14 on the field) in the final, and I don't think this team will change much. But in South Africa, I think they will be a little to much for Ireland in the first test, I'm expecting Ireland to bounce back in the second. 1-1
Wales and Australia. With Joe Schmidtt at the helm for the Aussies, and the form the Australian teams showed in Super Rugby this year. I think Australia will be to strong for Wales. 2-0 to Australia.

Irish fans I know aren't really looking forward to the tests against South Africa. Playing South Africa so soon after the World Cup with one of the tests at altitude tips the scales heavily in South Africa's favour and the top 4 teams would be favoured to win their home games anyway. Also we play South African teams all the time in the league so what are we really learning from it ? Its really only a commercial exercise and means nothing except for bragging rights. I think most fans would have preferred a break for our best best players and an extended pre season for the provinces. The year after the World Cup should be more about bring younger players on and building depth.

Think the 2007 south African side was more talented than the side at present. In last few years they batter teams into submission with their sheer size and raw power but the side of Bryan habana and Percy Montgomery in 2007 was a better all round team - and certainly played with more flair. Lets be honest SA may be a great side right now but they are boring as hell to watch (btw think the 1951 side that blew everyone away on their tour of Europe was the most talented boks side ever - they also white washed new zealand a couple of years before). Yeah the wallabies and Wales aren't great at the moment, tho you do get the sense there mite be some green shoots of recovery for Wales. On the other hand Australian rugby seems to be in a trough not seen since mid 70s when they were losing to likes of tonga.
