I still cry watching this scene.. Emotional.. What if uncle Nick would have actually boarded the bus...😮 I miss the 80s...i Miss my childhood..i Miss uncle Nick ..we all needed him..RIP Rutger Hauer
Great film. Good acting by Rutger Hauer. It's sad at the end. I understand why. Now that Nick forgave Frank for what happened back in Vietnam and that he made peace with him and that he killed the bad guys, Nick decides to move on with his life and like the lone cowboy he leaves and moves on and rides onto a new adventure. It's a shame Blind Fury didn't get a sequel, it was left open for a possible continuation.
Much like in the zatoichi film this is based on the blind swordsman leaves the child with family, he couldn't take him because his path is a path mirrored with death. He only raises his sword to protect but he is a killer even if he does so to protect. I. The end that's just no place.for a child to be. Zatoichi walks a path of solitude trying to atone for his past. Here Nick made peace with his past but who he is, what he can do. He can't bring a child along with him on his quest to help people. This movie is surprisingly super faithful to the film it's adapted from.
Damn time goes by so fast. I remember me and my friends, watching this on *VHS* multiple times....The music that starts @1:05 has always intrigued me......Rutger Hauer was great in the movie. *Sin City* ....RIP.
This ending always broke my heart and I never really understood why he decided to leave. RIP Rutger Hauer, you brought many fond memories to my childhood.
Blind Fury is indeed an awesome movie! Rutger Hauer's performance in the film is captivating and memorable. Uncle Nick and Billy, the end always gets me very emotionally. The bond between Uncle Nick and Billy was portrayed in a heartfelt manner, leaving a lasting impact. Wished they made a sequel. Times have changed not practical to carry a sword in these times. Also reflects an era when men served as admirable role models and family units were portrayed realistically. It's a nostalgic reminder of a time when values and relationships held a significant place in society. RIP Rutger Hauer
I was a kid in Mexico when I saw this movie for the first time in a vhs player, it impacted me, years later in my mid 40s I’ll still watch it whenever they show it on tv That ending when he cries was pretty emotional 😭😭
..this is where he goes to the desert to become the hitcher! Just kidding...this is really sad, Rutger Hauer can be so sweet, then terrifying...I miss him. He was so handsome.
Theres not many movies make me sad and i cant put my finger on it exactly but this scene is very sad. I dont know if it reminds me of something or if its that its possibly the first rutget hauer movie ive watched since he died. RIP Rutger
The dad wasn’t a good friend. Nick and him served in the war together. Nick saved his ass and Billy’s too. The dad just ignored Nick when boarding the bus as if he’s nobody. Wtf kind of friend is that? Nick felt betrayed and didn’t belong. Hence he decided to leave.
Some might say it's a little cheesy but I think this is one of the great movie endings of the era. This, Raimi's Darkman and many others. They could've made it even more powerful: the toy drop shot - the catch - cut - end credits. Less is more
A little continuity error at 1:31. Everyone exits the shot but someone else walks in next to Rutger and would not have exited the scene by the time the bus had passed. Still great though
My mom loved this movie so much. This final scene make me almost cry...
RIP Rutger Hauer.
Everyone in life needs an uncle Nick, even me at 37 years of age
I believe universally that in every stage of growing up. uncle nick would be so important to have in life.
Rest in peace Rutger Hauer.
i rememeber him from blade runner
RIP Rutger Hauer.
He will always be in our heart

I'd even be good with a whole novelization of sequels based on Nick with Rutgers character pix on the cover.

R.I.P Rutz haugher
This movie deserved another 4 sequels just like Charles Bronson's Death Wish movies.
@@johndawhale3197 Blind Fury was like a modern western and the ending did leave it open for a continuation.
RIP Rutger...memories may well be lost like tears in the rain but you won't be forgotten sir...ever.
This scene made me cry when I was young …. Now I’m crying again 😢

Only because you keep things simple doesn't mean you are bad actor
Uncle Nick seems a friend of mine... High & low-feelings.
We all are gonna miss ruetz hauer for ever
this lacks the vital part where Hauer actually has sad and moisty eyes before credits roll in.
I am surprised to see that this movie is not Available on RUclips to watch..

apa soundtrack ini
How many times did they have to film that catch?
What? It's just a simple drop.
Music?
Not bad for a Zatoichi rip off.
