Really informative video. But, just to clarify the Regal Princess (and its sisters) are SHIPS, not BOATS. The old saying in the Navy is that ships carry boats. Boats don't carry ships. Thought I'd mention that detail.
One issue I have with Princess’s standard balcony rooms - they don’t have a sofa or coffee table, and so there’s very little room for 2 people to move around in. I realize that the Deluxe Balcony rooms DO have a sofa and coffee table, but Carnival’s and RCCL’s standard balcony rooms all have a sofa and coffee table.
We have three times had cabins under the Skywalk. On the first day, several people check it out, but we have never been on our balcony on day one (too many other things to do). By the second day there are far fewer people on the Sky walk and by day three nearly no one. However, we enjoy watching the few walkers and waving to them. Hey, unless you are sunbathing naked who cares and if you are on the lower decks on the Grand class, you can have many voyeurs on their balconies with all the time in the world!
8:54 The metal fronted balconies in this area on OTHER ROYAL CLASS ships varies and some ships have the first five metal fronted and the next three glass fronted. The latter group having massive balconies.
I can tell you that having a corner balcony on Deck 15 at the rear there was no problem with people "looking" and if they did I simply looked right back at them and they very quickly got the idea.
We love the huge front balconies. Those are deluxe cabins they sell for regular balcony price. Plus we like having all the extra space. You can sunbathe and we have a balcony dinner and its not cramped. We find the people above us are hardly ever on their tiny balconies. Rarely have had someone out above us the same time we were out. The regular balconies are tiny. We have had E108 E104 and E106. We have E109 booked for this November. Great video tho.
I failed to mention that on the port side the area that is the seawalk in starboard side is the skylight bar so privacy is not a problem on decks below it .
We are also Canadian (from Alberta) and we were just aboard the Regal Princess two months ago, and we were lucky we were assigned a good balcony room on Deck 10 starboard. In fact, you can watch a walking tour of the Regal Princess on my RUclips channel. By the way, can you tell me which port your video was shot at?
Snow Rida we were in philipsburg st. maarten . I don’t do a lot of travel videos , but this is information I wish I had before booking . My wife and I enjoy sitting on our balcony every morning having breakfast as we look over the port and plan our day .
Going on Regal in March, thanks for very good tips from youre video, we have never sailed with Princess before, how can you compare them to Celebrity?? all comments welcome:0) Best regards from Norway:0)
Thanks for the video and doing the research, trying to book a balcony on this ship seems challenging than the other Princess ships we have sailed on. On a side note, with all due respect, this is a ship, not a boat. For some reason, that detail was bugging me. Many people call these big beautiful ships boats, which they are not and deserve to be called as such.
Awesome video! Very informative! Thank you!!! I just booked my honeymoon cruise on the Regal for a December cruise. We are on the 11th floor (Baja) in the center area on the port-side. Will the glass sea walk be on that side too and be able to look down into our balcony?
My God man hold the camera steady. I would expect it from someone on their first cruise but it is your business I had to turn it off . Too much movement and fast forwarding.

Brilliant look at the ships cabin position Very much appreciated 😀😀😀
Thank you! We are choosing our balcony now for a future cruise and this had all the information we needed! I appreciate the thoroughness.

Very informative. However, I don't really care if someone sees me on my balcony - they only wish they were me! LOL!

Great information. Doing back to back cruises on the Regal in February 2022.
I can tell you that having a corner balcony on Deck 15 at the rear there was no problem with people "looking" and if they did I simply looked right back at them and they very quickly got the idea.
Excellent information and presentation! Exactly what I was seeking. Thanks

Snoman , Thanks for the input . I admit we all have different taste . Our friends had one and loved it .
@@seaken2 I couldn't see any one on their balcony middle ship.

Wow. This information is awesome. I was thinking about the very rear, however, I'll pass and look for a balcony?
Very informative and helpful, thank you for putting in the effort Kenneth
Hey Kenneth, it’s called a SHIP not a BOAT.
Thanks this really helps in choosing a balcony .
super helpful, Many, Many Thanks!!
Thank you! This will be my first time cruising so this was very helpful!!
hello we have a deluxe balcony on the 14th deck cabin number 507 in the middle of the ship is that a good balcony to have on the Regal Princess ?
Magic video Thank you

From the look of it, there are very, very few balconies that have privacy. No topless sunbathing for me!
Useful info - thanks!
Does this vessel go to Alaska
Clarence Williams
No , they don’t take larger boats like this to Alaska .
@@seaken2 Au contraire! Maybe it's a COVID thing, but the Royal Princess calls in Alaska, and she's the Regal's older sister... ;)

Preben Hansen
I’d say princess caters to similar cruisers as celebrity .
This ship looks bigger than harmony of the seas( the second biggest cruise ship in the world).
EXCELLENT video!! Thanks for taking the time putting it together. It couldn't have been easy!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (btw ...Canadian accent?)
Yes Canadian

Sarah Lynn on the port side there is a bar that occupies the section that is the seawalk on Starboard side . So privacy shouldn’t be a problem .
Thank you!!!!! @@seaken2
Wow I am surprised...always hated princess Cruise Lines
I'll share the video
Dear friends, invite me to cruise together....Bj Slovenia Postojna
Nov. 25th, let’s party!
