Wondering why there are 30+ comments and this video just went live? Those who follow me on Instagram @WillBallForSoup get access to videos up to 48 hours before they go live! This Luxe was just fine, and the softest shooting yet of the Gamma-like Luxes. But what if they took the V16 or Encore drivetrain and paired it with all the features of the IDOL? That would take my score from an 8/10 to a 10/10.
I will always appreciate the purely HONEST reviews. You can tell when the sponsored guys try to “sell” the marker rather than give their honest opinion.
Luxe has been ripping off of Jack Woods designs for years now. How anyone supports those Gardner brothers is beyond me… oh the irony of them being patent trolls in years past against other brands in paintball and suing a ton of them into oblivion yet they copy Planet Eclipses engines. Pure scum of the industry still to this day. Boycott these clowns.
Can’t even ship the gun with correct grips, but instead pushes product out early and puts a card that they will send correct ones later. This has smart parts written all over it
Damn Scotty with another fire review. I love the transparency and honesty with everything you review. If it sucks you will tell us the truth and say it sucks, and if it rocks you will tell us it's dope. It's hard to find honest good people nowadays that aren't trying to sell you something or take your money which is rare which makes you even better! It definitely helps all the youngsters that don't have a lot of money or knowledge to know what they can buy with confidence. Thank you SOUP!!!!
Just felt one in store today with tank and loader on it felt amazing. The worker who's gun it was says it shoots great, "coming from a planet guy". If I was 1800 to burn I would definitely pick one up. After holding it. Ergo was 10/10 for me.
So, I’ve been running an M3+ for a while now. I’m not a gear whore, I just run what I’ve got. I’ve shot everything and that’s what’s always felt best to me. I’m buying an Idol and getting out of my M3+’s. I was really impressed with everything about it. The ergos, shot, controls, I loved it.
Macdev GT2 also comes with a chargeable battery out of the box 👀 just saying lol appreciate the honest feedback always, I also liked the older luxe shot as well. I’m not a fan of them but only because I’m someone who does like to tune their marker and take their stuff apart to get it to play exactly the way I want
I have a tm40 with a soft tip bolt and I’ve never had an issue with paint handling. Shot GI 5 star, empire, draxxus with no issues. Just food for thought if you would like to save yourself some $. Whatever luxe you get, def grab a soft tip bolt for it.
Idol feels really good in hand i personally am not a fan of how luxes feel in my hands so i went with the era and from what i have seen the bolts are VERY similar. Curious to shoot them side by side and see how similar they are.
I still love your geo 3 line videos. Even tho my financial situation in terms of playing have sucked over the years to buy a new setup I've just been researching what to buy. And unfortunately I have to agree with you I don't see how any of these new markets are worth the MSRP price. Yeah they are nice new features they have. But I keep learning towards the older lv1 and geo 3 line for my new setup. Hopefully I won't be a retired baller for soon since I got better pay now. Keep up the good honest product reviews.
My fully upgraded Pooty Luxe Ice still shoots smooth and squishy. It's actually my backup to my my Pooty Vanquish 2. I've owned dozens of high-end guns, my modded Vanquish is still the quietest.
Great review first of all. I have been fortunate enough to speak a little bit from my own experiance. Till Some weeks ago I was using a TM40 and was able to shoot it side by side with an Idol and it sure was a comparisonable shot but the grouping while using the same paint was noticeably tighter. It also has a little less barrel rise. For now im using a Vanquish GT till im ordering a Idol so to watch this review I see the irony in it. But to comparice a Idol to a TM40 I do think the Idol is worth the extra money for a long term commitment.
Everyone dogs on Luxe, but those same people show up to a field and haven't taken their gun apart in half a season. I've got 5 2.0's and only ever had a problem with 1 of them. And that problem was solved by dropping in an encore bolt. Older Luxes always had the best shot quality and the best private labels/factory annos. If you take care of them, they'll take care of you
Personally never had an issue with my Adrenaline TM40 so I don’t feel the need to upgrade. Had some issues with my X handling paint however using the F16 bolt resolved that.
I'm just now getting back in paintball, and I am confused about all the names you're saying in this video. So which marker are you saying is better and easier on the paintballs and shoot straight line.
Please do a series on old companies and people that used to be in paintball. The smart parts/ Gardners story needs to be more known. Techpb vs pbnation beef. There are so many opportunities!
I've actually had a build of a video on TechPB and a number of conversations between us where I asked "did this really happen". It's too edgy. We still occasionally talk. He's really living his best life after paintball
@@WillBallForSoup yeah I can remember some of the posts haha, that would for sure not fly on RUclips now. Everything from court cases to in person threats, shit was wild. It is good that he was able to walk away from the marker bids ordeal and move on to something better.
The SP/Gardner story is full of bullshit and misinformation. A lot of that was driven by WDP’s marketing lies they peddled all over the press and online at the times. SP’s claim to the patent was valid.
good review still does not change my perspective on luxes and I had an OG luxe which was reliable just needed to maintain it. But my teammate has a luxe x and after 2 world cup of the gun sitting all weekend at the tech I took it and fixed it and now it is reliable.
Haven't shot a idol yet, but I did get a feel for the ergos at wcppl..personally, I didn't care for the ergos. Hopefully the shot is nice enough for my taste.
To me the shot of the Idol is similar to the Ice with the Encore bolt. Not a fan of the screen placement but it can be getting use to like the fat grip of the LV2.
I dont understand the thought process behind the screen. Like, all of it. Placement, information presented, integration and execution into the grips. To me, the screen is a gaping hole where my thumb loses contact with the grips. And if the screen is as fragile as its been shown with the temporary grips, whats to say my thumb wont break the screen mid point somehow? The old screen may have been small, but (dlx techs please correct me) i havent come into contact with a dlx gun that had a bad oled screen since the oled dropped
I shot a tm40 all last season and was impressed definitely better than the x which was a marker I couldn’t get into I didn’t like the shot nor the sound of it but the tm40 was a huge stepping stone for luxe and they definitely did work on the reliability of the luxe can’t wait to get a idol in my hands
I love my tm40, but I prefer the X grips on it. Luxe, pls stop making grips with huge ribs in them and just go for a more flatter face. It’s just much more comfortable bc ppl hold their markers in all different ways and positions when playing.
Rechargeable batteries are overrated and having two freak xl backs should have been standard 4-5 years ago. The equivalent high end Dye, PE and field one come from factory with them.
Aloha luv ur no bullshit reviews and u say it like it is hope everything is going better for u then it was B4 if your ever in Hawaii luv to show u around I don't do any social media but let me know in a video or something and I'll use my wife's Facebook or something to reply to u aloha and mahalo from da 808
@@WillBallForSoup If they are smart they will. Sick of the BS Axe Line. They have nothing to compete with Upper Mid to top level markers and a new Vanquish would do that. I'll never own a Luxe. They always go down and they are to complicated to fix. Everyone on my team who owns Luxe's have had more issues with their guns than anyone else. My CS2 pro and LV2 have yet to go down ever since I have bought them. Rarely break paint (if ever) and they just overall perform better. I've owned many Luxes' and have never had any issues with any of them. Not even once. I know people who have had leaking air issues with LV2's and CS3's.
@Nick-rc2lr I feel you, but overall, Luxes are known to have more problems than PE. My PE's have never not shot when I turned them on, regardless of conditions. The guys who have Luxes on my team have had way more issues than us with PE's. And yes, they maintained them very well. But hey, not saying Luxes are bad guns, just not my cup of tea.

So mr man where the gun giveaway in your geo video?
I mean these high ends are nice, but personally I’d just go with a Etha3 with a barrel kit and spend the money I saved on playing more✊

Get the delrin Kush Bolt from techt and drop it in the TM40, softer shot, slightly better efficiency, no more ball breaks.
