2 great sounding guitars, but admittedly I liked the first one a bit better. By the way, I loved the name of your channel so much that I had to come over and sign up, brother man 👍🏻
I was confused a bit 😅🤦♀️ Not that familiar with Eastman. I thought this was the E2D but this is a E20D which is like $2k guitar vs a $350. Yam guitar. Well that makes sense why E20D does sound better but with that price 🤔 i think the Yam still sounds pretty good maybe with bone nut and saddle different pins I wonder how it would sound against it. 😊.
Yes this is what I want to know!! I'm trying to get my boyfriend one and that's the two between I'm stuck I'm kind of more on a budget FG 830 is a more affordable price But definitely want to hear the comparison he knows I'm already going to get him a guitar so I want him to listen to them before making a decision
@VMC-V i have never played the E1D in real life, but I have played the fg830. Sounds great. I do prefer the E1D's sound from the videos I've seen over the demos of the Yamaha fg830. There's just something about that solid back and sides. I like the E2D better than the E1D but they've discontinued that model and only sell the deluxe version that has the ugly black color.
I much more prefer the E20D. More depth in the bottom and low mids, more overtones, more richness. Yam sounds nice. It is clearer but it did not caught me. Did you kept the Yam ?
The Yamaha is definitely lighter weight and louder. The Eastman has a little bit more pure rosewood tone- assuming because of the solid back and sides as opposed to laminate. I’m tossing around the idea of selling the Eastman because the Yamaha appeases my taste for rosewood.
@@acousticaddiction7719 yeah I like my Yamaha, I don't know just my E20D just felt...off somehow, like was expecting something closer to D28 sound. But once you play a D28, that's pretty much what you compare everything too I guess. My Recording King Rd328 has sort of the sound but not the volume

I know you have the eastman e1d in another video, but how does the fg830 stack up to the e1d that's all solid wood?

Why do you like the E2D better than E1D? 🙂 I know it's cedar top vs spruce. Also how does it differ in sound in your experience? @@gooey_smoogy
I have an FG830 and I love it but the Eastman sounded far better IMO.

So which is which? He does not tell us! Is the brown one the Eastman I think?
Yes
Having had both guitars and keeping the Yamaha 830, inhave to say that the Yamaha has more character than
the Eastman E20D
The Yamaha is definitely lighter weight and louder. The Eastman has a little bit more pure rosewood tone- assuming because of the solid back and sides as opposed to laminate. I’m tossing around the idea of selling the Eastman because the Yamaha appeases my taste for rosewood.

What about the E1D compared to the Yamaha FG830?
